We came here with our 9 year old and we all loved it. Each of our ramens were delicious. Since we…read morecould customize our orders with the add-ones, each one was so unique. Add the butter miso to your dish! Testimonial from the kid: "This place is the BEST!"

I came here for lunch because I was craving something warm and I figured, even in Vermont, how can…read morea place screw up ramen THAT badly? They answered that question for me. The bartender/server was very friendly, but my veggie ramen took 20 minutes to come out and was lukewarm. Not very flavorful, full of raw cabbage. Tofu was extra. Not a fan. My server was nowhere to be seen for a while so I flagged down a different server to ask for my check, she said she'd bring it right away. Then I watched her spend 10 minutes talking to other tables, running food, doing anything but walk to the POS station in clear view of me to print my bill. I work in a restaurant and that sort of stuff really bothers me, because it's a huge no-no at my restaurant. It's rude and one of the fastest ways to upset a guest. A manager noticed I was sitting at my table looking grumpy and came over to ask if everything was ok. I told him I'd been waiting for my bill for a while and he went over and got it for me within 30 seconds. He comped my tofu which was nice, but still, I've never been to a ramen restaurant where the veggie ramen didn't come with tofu. I left half the ramen in the bowl because the flavor was just bad and it wasn't hot. I would absolutely not come back here or recommend it to anyone.

We love Kitsune! The food is innovative and tasty. Chirashi, tuna yellowtail donburi, tuna zuke don…read moreare definitely among of our favorites. The quality of sashimi is unparalleled (especially for the area). The tempura is not heavy or greasy. The grilled lamb chop was amazing. Each week it's a new surprise menu! Kitsune is back at Talta Lodge summer 2023! Every Thursday from 5:30pm-8:30pm on the Talta lawn for the Little River Summer Series, an outdoor event featuring Kitsune menu, beer tent, live music, lawn games, fire pits, stream to wade in, and gourmet s'mores by La Shack. Family friendly and even (leashed) dog-friendly event. No tickets or fee to enter! Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm-9pm back in the downstairs lounge space - reservations recommended. For the past winter (Oct2022-Mar2023), Kitsune was located as a pop up on Thu, Fri and Sat at Talta Bluebird with a limited number of tables. Reservations are recommended for the sit down dinner on Thursdays. And your liquor tab will be charged separately - Talta keeps these funds but the tips do go to the Kitsune crew. Fridays and Saturdays are a limited bar menu. There is some take out available.

Our bill was over $200 for two people and the time between appetizers and entrees was significant to the point the server comped one of our apps. The food isn't seasoned properly and the oysters were... not Good. Firstly you only get 4 for $16 and each one has a mound of shaved ice on top I could only eat one and that was a struggle. Very bizarre. I thought maybe the ramen would be good but nothing has much flavor at all. I would only recommend the bar and maybe pass on food
