Horchata Latte

A cute hidden little gem! The girls are so sweet and helpful, we absolutely loved our coffees. I ended up getting two different ones for myself and I don't regret it at all, we will definitely be back!

Churro Latte and Horchata Latte

I've followed Mis Raíces Cafe on Instagram for a while now, and I finally had the chance to stop by while I was in the area. With the Arizona heat in full force, I popped in for an afternoon pick-me-up. I ordered the churro latte and a slice of tres leches cake. The churro latte was spot on -- warm notes of cinnamon and brown sugar came through perfectly, and the drizzle of dulce de leche added the perfect sweet touch. And the Tres Leches? Chef's kiss. Super soft, moist, and that cinnamon-dusted cream on top took it to the next level. The space had a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the service was friendly and fast. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm in Central Phoenix!

Marias Latte, Horchata Latte

Cute little coffee shop! I like that a parking lot is close by versus having to find parking on the street, definitely a plus. They have a variety of different, unique lattes which I appreciate, it makes me want to come back just to try a different flavor. I got the marias latte which was great and not too sweet. It even had a cookie at the top, so cute! I also got the banana bread, very delicious too!

I am a sucker for coffee shops and this one did not disappoint!! I am hoping I can stop by soon! The drinks we had were tasty and yet did not lose the coffee taste, which is what I personally enjoy. Service was quick and nice and the girl at the register had the patience for us being first timers. Must try!

Soooo good their flight is only $15 and you get a good taste at what they are good at! I got Mexican mocha, flan, horcata and duvalin. They all had really good foam tops. I also got their homemade pop tarts so delish!

Delightful coffee place with a lovely patio. The churro iced latte is fabulous and the place is charming. When in Phoenix, check them out!

Nice spot for sit down eating outside, either on Grand Avenue or the courtyard in the Desert Sun Plaza. Food was served promptly and arrived hot. I drank an excellent latte, their specialty. There is a brisk takeout business but no line at 7am on a Wednesday.

This is the cutest coffee shop I've found in AZ so far. I'm from California and we have Tierra Mia. This shop in AZ reminds me of it so much! It has delicious Hispanic/Latino drink flavors that are so good. The muffin I bought even had concha sugar on the top. It was amazing! The shop itself is adorable. I love the decorations and tiles they have making the facade homey and beautiful. There was a long line the day we went and therefore we had to wait about 20 min to order, but the workers were quick and got our orders out in a timely manner. I'll definitely be coming back!

My drink was perfect and the food was so so good. Will definitely be coming back here. I felt really safe and the two ladies working were the sweetest ever!!!

Tres Leches Chai - small

Tres Leches Chai was absolutely delicious! They have a lot of options and also bakery items, that it'll definitely try next visit! A cute little spot with Spanish inspired decor and music. The staff were friendly and fast. Definitely a must try place before flying out of PHX airport just a short 10 minute drive away and glad we found this spot to hang out at before checking in for our flight.

Let me start off by saying my coffee latte was excellent.. 5/5. I ordered the Sweet Treat latte and it was delicious but sadly I won't be back. I walked in and sat at a bar where the barista was making drinks. I watched as she made drinks, cleaned, did everything except greet or acknowledge me! After giving it some time, I said to her excuse me do you have a menu and she goes menu is over there. I then responded it would have been nice if you said something to me and she responded oh the bar is closed to that I responded well this is my first time here and I didn't know that but maybe if you would have said something to me. Anyway, I clearly was irritated and if I didn't have the passport for the free drink, I would have left. I had every intention of buying a pastry or something else and sitting in the shop and enjoying my morning but she rubbed me the wrong way! How hard is it to welcome someone, ask if they need help instead of ME having to get her attention when the place was empty. I wish I got her name. I found her rude and won't be returning. Save your money! Support local businesses that are welcoming.

Apparently the shop sources coffees and teas from local businesses. For example, coffees = Infusion Coffee Roasters in Tempe, loose leaf teas and chai = Maya Tea Company in Tucson, kombucha = Milly Moon Kombucha in Phoenix, and breakfast burritos = Lua Lua Catering. [Parking]: Mostly metered parking and I ended up parking few blocks away from the shop (plenty of metered parking spots near the intersection of E McKinley St & N 5th St). [Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. [Menu]: Apparently Matcha Latte is one of the more popular drinks here. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink. The drink also came with a paper straw. *** A great spot for a casual 1st date due to great vibe, but matcha latte just didn't hit the spot.

Futuro currently takes the cake for my favorite coffee shop in Phoenix currently…read more I've tried their matcha two ways: 1. as an iced latte, unsweetened. The first time I ordered it unsweetened was accidental, but trying it without sweetener or flavor was what made me realize that their matcha may be the best I've ever had. I've also had their Mas matcha latte and it is also absolutely delicious and simple and still allows me to taste the matcha through the vanilla and sweetness. I've been to other places that serve Kettl matcha, but none have tasted nearly as rich as Futuro's. The atmosphere itself is true to its name. It is futuristic, simple, and beautiful. It is full of unique art pieces of all types, and they sell their coffees and teas as well. I feel at peace inside and they always have vibey music playing at a perfect volume and incense lit. The service itself is one of a kind and makes me feel like I'm at a 5-star restaurant. They bring your items out on a beautiful tray and will always serve your drink with a cup of water on the side if you order it for here. They will even package your food up for you, which I would never expect from a coffee shop. It can be busy at times with a bit of a wait because the drinks are all made one at a time, but it's always worth the wait. The place isn't very big but has plenty of seating given the space. For working from home, they do have wifi but limited outlets. Their pastries served from a local bakery are also delicious.

I'm currently hooked on the Cafe de Olla, a gorgeous blend of sugar and spice that's topped with a star anise pod that enhances the aroma with every sip. But virtually every menu item -- honorable mention to the Cajeta -- is balanced and well crafted. The baristas are all very knowledgeable about their teas, as well. I've recently been SO hooked by their semi-new weekend pastry artist, Ghita, who crafts such unique desserts. Most recently, I tried their absolutely FIRE black sesame craquelin with a mildly sweet tahini cream. The rhubarb cream pastry was also gorgeous and creative. Futuro as a space is intentionally designed as well, with plenty of seating on both sides, boutique goods for sale, and great reads. It's the perfect place to read a book and chill on weekends. And the staff, even when busy, seem to always perfectly serve each order and efficiently clear out plates. Officially my favorite coffee shop 1000% now.

She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. You can see their menu, history, photos, and more on their website (https://lolacoffeebarphx.com). While I had trouble choosing between a lemonade for a cold beverage or hot chocolate for a warm beverage, it's great they have so many options. Again, try them for drinks, breakfast, or pastries.
