I've been coming to Mirko ever since I was a freshman in university, and now that I'm graduating four years later, Mirko has remained the best pasta place I've been to in Atlanta. I love the customization that you're able to do here. You can pair whichever pasta shape, sauce, and protein you want, which is the best thing ever! Their free bread is always so warm and good, and is the perfect thing to snack on before the meal, or alongside your main entree. The place always feels so clean and energetic, and I've never had a bad experience here! Their spinach pasta with bolognese is what I tend to get!

We had a party of 25 people, we were not told that they couldn't split the check until AFTER WE ALL ATE. Which caused such a mess! Not only did they refuse to accommodate, our waitress was rude as h*ll. She had so much unnecessary attuide! This ruined our whole evening! We only wanted to enjoy a nice dinner and celebrate our friends birthday! THE FOOD WAS SO BLAND! TO FINISH THE NIGHT A HUGE ROACH CAME OUT!!!!! OVERALL STAY AWAY!

First visit to this restaurant. It was dead on a Saturday at lunchtime and we were the only ones dining until one other table came in at the end of our lunch. I liked the interior design of the restaurant, however, it was a bit worn and could use some updating. The tables were in terrible shape and kind of gross. It appears the table tops have been layered and re-layered with polyurethane over the years with several areas flaking off and cloudy. We were given some complimentary bread along with a cold bean dip purée/oil mixture that looked pretty disgusting. We did sample it with the bread and we didn't think it tasted great either. The bread was fresh. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese. It was good, but not great and the portion was adequate, but not very big. For $18 I certainly expected more flavor and a larger portion. In the end, this was just an OK experience and missed the mark for us. And for the price, I don't see returning.

AN ABSOLUTE GEM! We happened upon this place one afternoon when we were craving some fresh pasta but didn't want to spend our life savings. From the outside, it doesn't look like extraordinary, but it's super cute inside. It wasn't too crowded, and they were understaffed a bit, but our waitress was FANTASTIC! She was hustling - taking care of everyone, super knowledgeable and attentive. You get to choose your pasta, then choose your sauce, or choose from some of the pre-created menu items. Honestly, I was in between 3 different things, so I went with the Carbonara with Tagliatelle and my husband went with the Pappardelle and the sauce that started with an F. That was actually one of the 3 I was choosing from so this was a win-win for me from the start! Both were DELICIOUS! The carbonara was my favorite- super creamy and a good amount of prosciutto. The other one was also super creamy. You can add meat, so I would have liked it mode with Chicken. $40 total for fresh pasta and delicious sauce! That is rare in ATL. I will definitely be back!

I have already written a review for this place but had to update it to say even more great things! I have been here once but this time was even more amazing! The food is always incredible and reasonably priced for the quality! This time I had to add more details about the staff and how phenomenal they were. We had a young girl, I wish I would have gotten her name, but she had dark hair and an accent. She was soo amazing! We had made reservations for 20 people for a birthday party and they had set everything out at this huge table in the center. They were so patient and kind with us despite having a large group! When we arrived, we had a cake and wanted to surprise the birthday girl, so they hid it in the back for us and brought it out at the end with our candles that we left with them. They also cleared the table and brought all new plates and forks which was so above and beyond, we weren't expecting that! Not to mention the fact that we were there over an hour past close because we were finishing up our food still and they still gave us time to eat the cake. They did not rush us at all, but we tried to finish up as soon as we could since we know the staff was there mainly for us! There was still another family eating too. They whole team was great with hiding the cake and helping let our server know. And our server was also so amazing! They just all went so above and beyond to make it a great birthday dinner for our friend :)

Went here on a whim and was super pleased! Their sangria was refreshing, service was well paced and the server was very nice. It was rather quiet and not crowded at all when we arrived shortly after 5 but by the time we left, it had steadily filled up. The pasta were very fresh and flavorful, the portions were good. We enjoyed our appetizer and would definitely come back to this specific location or try their other locations as well! Love how you can mix and match to create your favorite pasta combination!

I thought the pasta here was good. This was my first time at a Mirko Pasta and it immediately reminded me of FIGO Pasta, another small local pasta chain. Turns out the owner of Mirko Pasta, chef Mirko Di Giacomantonio, founded FIGO. Makes sense. Both brands have a similar concept. They're casual sit-down Italian restaurants with fresh housemade pastas and sauces that you can mix and match. This Mirko location is situated in a freestanding building on Roswell Road ITP, next door to popular breakfast and brunch restaurant Buttermilk Kitchen. Mirko has their own parking lot with over 20 spaces. At the time of writing this review, there's one other Mirko location in metro Atlanta (East Cobb, Marietta) as well as locations in Mobile, Alabama and outside of Nashville. This North Buckhead location opened in 2011. This isn't a very big restaurant, but it's spacious enough with a bar, tables for groups, booths, and a patio. We visited on a Thursday night from about 6:30-7:30pm and it was busy. At one point, almost every table inside was taken. At night, the space was dimly lit with real candles at every table. It was kind of loud, but not too bad. Customers ranged from families with kids to single elderly diners. Since it was our first time, our server Fatima brought over a pasta tray to show us the different types of pasta we could order. During our visit, the dinner menu had 18 types to choose from: six each of short pastas, long pastas, and filled pastas (ravioli). Pastas costed $7-9 each and sauces were an additional $7-9 each, so we were looking at $14-18 per pasta entree. There were over a dozen sauce options. We could also add on various meats and veggies for $2-5 each. According to the menu, the pastas and sauces are made in-house daily. Outside of the custom pasta + sauce combos, dinner entrees such as lasagna and grilled lamb chop cost $15-20 each, apps like bruschetta and eggplant Parm ran $8-14 each, and soups/salads $6-13 each. There was also a special "Chef's Creations" menu with dishes like sea bass ($24) and panna cotta ($8). Drink-wise, there was a full bar. They were offering $1 sangrias the night we visited (Thursday) so how could we turn those down? They were regularly $7 each. Here's what I tried: Antipasti * Complimentary bread (rolls and sliced bread) with a sauce made from white kidney beans, carrots, and celery * Fried Calamari and Zucchini ($14) - fried squid and zucchini with lemon, marinated fresh tomatoes, and spicy tomato sauce * Burrata ($13) - fresh heirloom tomato with creamy fresh burrata cheese Drinks * Sangrias ($1 each on Thursdays, regularly $7 each) - red wine, brandy Pastas * Egg pappardelle ($7) with Funghi sauce (+$8) - wild mushrooms, cream, and Parmesan * Egg fettuccine ($7) with Carbonara sauce (+$8) - egg yolks, pancetta, cream, and Parmesan Entrees * Pollo Marsala ($18) - all-natural chicken breast with Marsala wine and mushrooms, side of potatoes au gratin and spinach In general, the food and drinks were mostly good. The dinner rolls were hard and the fried calamari was underwhelming, but everything else was enjoyable. I liked the sauce/dip that came with the baskets of bread. It was beany and different. Along with white beans, carrots, and celery, the dip also contained olive oil. The fried calamari was underwhelming because the portions weren't great and what was there wasn't very appetizing. The calamari wasn't crispy, but soggy and not seasoned well. The tomato sauce helped though and the marinated tomatoes were indeed fresh and full of flavor. The burrata was yummy. I haven't encountered many burratas I didn't like. Like the calamari, it would've been nice if the serving size was bigger. We got one piece that was about the size of a jumbo egg. It was delicious. Again, the tomatoes were fresh and flavorful. The sangrias were nice and strong. I was happy. Nice portions, ice cold and refreshing with a slice of lime and some chopped fruit (green apple). If you happen to visit when they're offering $1 sangrias, you should definitely take advantage. Both the egg pappardelle with funghi sauce and the egg fettuccine with carbonara sauce were tasty and satisfying. I recommend them both. I love mushroom pasta and Mirko's version was creamy and rich in umami. I do give FIGO's version a slight edge, but Mirko's version is still good and worth ordering. Mirko's carbonara was gratifying as well. Just a simple, peppery pasta dish. The noodles had wonderful texture and the bits of pancetta were chewy, salty, and savory. The chicken marsala was also good. Like the apps, I think the portion size could have been bigger. The chicken breast was nicely cooked (not too dry) and the dish had appetizing flavor all around. If you like chicken marsala, I think this is a solid version. Service was great. Fatima and the rest of the staff (hostess, manager, other server) were friendly and attentive. Despite a busy night, service was still timely.

Because it doesn't exist however, the security staff that was working there was super nice and it was an older gentleman who told me I in fact, could park directly outside the front door of the restaurant despite it saying no parking because that sign was simply up for the purposes of construction period So I took him for his word and I definitely parked right in front of the restaurant and luckily did not get towed or any tickets because he was right Now onto the food. Everything is freshly made on site from all the pastas to the desserts. And I have to say this was absolutely incredible. I have never had this type of artisanal approach to Italian food outside of Italy. This is the stop. Unfortunately, it was on a Friday where I was observing no meat so I did not order any dishes with meat, however, none of the dishes, disappointed in any way shape or form. We even ordered dessert and that just blew my mind because I do not like tiramisu, but this thing was delectable. And if I had room, I would've ordered another one. Our waitress Natividad was fantastic!! she was so kind and patient and very helpful with the menu. In fact, the kitchen had made a wrong dish out of all the dishes and sent it to us, but she intercepted realizing that it was wrong. I sent it back to the kitchen had them starting on the right dish, leaving only one person in our party waiting just a few more minutes for his plate to come out. The portions are very fair however they are not super generous. So if you are sharing and you really love what you're eating be careful because the person you share it with will probably love it just as much as you do and will eat more than you really want them to. I have to come back here when I come back to Atlanta. This is everything it lives up to be from all the previous reviews I have seen online and then some.

My boyfriend was running late, but he put in a special request that was fulfilled beautifully. He called ahead to say he'd be late and asked if they could start making a particular drink for me. I was amazed by their thoughtful service and couldn't believe they went out of their way like that. This experience was so wonderful that this spot has definitely become our go-to for Italian food in the city. The food here always impresses me. Although I've never been to Italy and can't compare it to authentic Italian cuisine, this restaurant feels comforting--almost like home. The pasta is freshly made in-house and cooked to perfection; every dish I've tried has been delicious and satisfying without being overwhelming. Despite the many popular Italian spots nearby, this place stands out for its amazing flavors and welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere. It's also an ideal spot for date nights, family gatherings, or girls' nights out. Additionally, they offer products for sale near the entrance, making it even more appealing. Also, we challenged our bartender to create a drink. We listed off favors, amoras, and alcohols we'd prefer. We listed off a few of our favorites, and the bartender absolutely dominated. The drink doesn't have a name, but my boyfriend requests it EVERYWHERE he goes and can't get it made properly anywhere else but at this location.

My mom and I shared a bottle of Chardonnay while enjoying the perfect celebratory atmosphere. We started with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked, along with the light, flaky bread that was honestly some of the best we've had. We also ordered the branzino bites appetizer -- absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. For dinner, we had the lasagna, bolognese, butter noodles for my daughter, and I ordered the sacchetti di zucca. Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and beautifully prepared. You can truly tell the pasta is handmade -- the noodles had that rich, fresh texture that makes authentic Italian food so special. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor. The ambiance was gorgeous -- sexy dim lighting, beautiful decor, and such a perfect place for photos. The music was a great modern mix of R&B and pop that made the energy feel fun, upscale, and current all night long. Perfect spot for a celebration, date night, girls night, or family dinner. We'll definitely be back!

TL;DR: Not worth the hype. For anything else, it's generally not good value for the price. It's not a place you can hang out for a long time because it gets so busy in the evenings, and the staff are so persistent about checking in that it feels like you can't stay for long. The food isn't bad, but it's inconsistent. My favorite thing from Yeppa is the stuffed pasta with mascarpone and butternut squash; I would definitely recommend this one for its perfect texture and chew and its balance between sweet and creamy. The Linguine alle Vongole is not nearly as strong; the taste of the clams is overshadowed by the cherry tomatoes, and the pasta is so thin that it overcooks quickly, so this dish features pasta that's lacks chew and breaks easily. The food also tends to be overseasoned. The "crispy focaccia" is more cracker than bread, and since it's sold as both an appetizer and a side to the mussels, the salt and rosemary on the bread is too strong to pick up the broth from the mussels. Still looking for outstanding Italian food in Atl! If you know of anything, send it my way

I came in on a Monday and was pleasantly surprised by their special: buy a glass of wine and get the whole bottle. I ended up coming back the next day (it was that good) and even brought in my birthday here. The owner was so kind and really made the evening feel special. My waiter gave me a great recommendation the mixed mushroom stuffed pasta with Funghi cream sauce and it was rich, filling, and absolutely delicious. I added salmon to it and asked if the chef could cook it as rare as possible (I hate overcooked salmon), and they nailed it. Perfectly done!! This place has officially become a favorite whenever I'm in Brookhaven! Great food, great people, and a place you actually want to come back to. Highly recommend!

We were greeted immediately and given a booth in the warm, cozy dining room. The menu has many types of pasta and you can select different combinations of sauce and ingredients. There are also pizzas on the menu. Today the panini sounded best to me. There was a sausage one, a meatball one, and the Capri with cheese and tomato which was my choice. Also cocktails, wine, and other drinks available. While we waited we had some fresh warm rolls with a bean dip similar to hummus. The bread was excellent. Our server explained that all the bread and dough is made fresh. The dip was also tasty. The panini were large and quite beautiful. They came with a small green salad and a cup of sauce, although my colleague asked for extra sauce so I'm not sure it is a regular side. Anyway the panini was delicious and I ate the whole thing even though it was probably two meals worth for me. I can't wait to go back and try the pasta or a pizza next!
