    Pupusas
    Brooke D.

Came here with some friends for lunch for the first time and we all loved it here. I got the pupusas and they were great! We also shared some queso which was fantastic and my friend enjoyed a margarita and said it was very good. Miranda's is super cute inside, has good seating and the service was great. Definitely recommend!

Big Bro and I decided to give Miranda's in Rockbrook Village a try and we both liked our experience. We were greeted by a woman behind the bar who turned out to be the owner's daughter. She brought out chips and salsa before we ordered. We had a pleasant conversation with her regarding El Salvador, which is the type of food served here, along with Mexican dishes. It was quiet enough to talk, and not very busy. I did notice a lot of dust on some tables, but there was an open door nearby which might account for it. I ordered pastelitos which were small crispy turnovers wrapped in a corn masa dough filled with chopped potatoes and chicken. I also had a veggie pupusa, a stuffed masa flour tortilla. The pastelitos came with a side of slaw, which was very different from any slaw I ever had. A squeeze bottle of dressing came with the slaw. I wasn't a fan of the slaw, but the other dishes were tasty, especially with the added mild sauce. Big Bro ordered the chimichanga, which looked like others I have seen. It came with salad, rice and a dish of beans that had been blended into a thick liquid. He spread the beans over the rice. Both of us also had margaritas, which were well made. We enjoyed our lunch and would come back again to try something new.

Delicious, amazing and fresh. Everything tasted so fresh and made in house. Very friendly staff and plenty of room and seating which also opens up to another section. High tops and tables. Very authentic.

Popped in for the first time today. Maybe should have waited for a less busy day as the Rockbrook Art fair is going on. Server told me they didn't know what to expect as this is their first year here. I can't wait to come back and have a more proper full meal. Just had 3 street tacos and chips and salsa today. But must say it was all delicious! The poblano pepper and queso taco was so good! I liked it better than my meat tacos which was insane to me. Will review again after next visit.

Miranda's is such a wonderful addition to the local Omaha food scene, and I can't recommend it enough! From quality, variety, flavor, and service, this place is top notch. My friends and I visited Mirandas to try the Salvadorian cuisine. We tried the Pupusas, Yucca, and Napoli. The variety of options in Pupusas was FANTASTIC, as there are various vegetarian options, meat options all with options to be spicier if you add the jalapeños (which I highly recommend). With such a range of options for Pupusas, there is no way that one of them wouldn't fit into your flavor preferences! The Napoli taco was such a unique addition as a vegetarian option. The texture of the cactus was shredded, which made it a great meat alternative, and the taco itself was overflowing with cilantro - which is a WIN for me. The shell was clearly hot and fresh, way better than any other tortilla shell I've ever had at a restaurant in the United States. The Yucca was such a great sharable option, and was delicious: crispy outside with soft middle, and lots of toppings! We got it without pork, but it originally comes with meat! Also, if you order a margarita, it is HUGE and worth the price. Absolutely delicious, and with various flavor options. The ambiance of Miranda is cozy and warm, with a small bar, lots of seating, some tasteful led decor, and a TV near the bar for sports. You can feel that this is family owned by the kind service, thoughtful suggestions, and homey feeling. I have to point out that our server, Jeni, was fantastic and provided us with recommendations, smiles, and fast, nonjudgemental assistance when I spilled a drink. I can't wait for this place to become an Omaha staple! Go and support this awesome Salvadoran spot, you won't be disappointed !

We had a great time here. The food tasted great and so did their aguas. It wasn't too crowded and food came out pretty quickly. We enjoyed their pupusas rice and tamales. Their chips and salsa were great too. They have a lot of options on the menu. We can't wait to come back and try their caldos and more. The restaurant itself is clean and chill. They have a patio space too.

My son and I stopped in on a whim and left very happy and satisfied. (Complimentary chips and salsa are always a plus!) I ordered a lime margarita and that was delicious - not too sweet and definitely not "margarita mix" flavored which is awesome. They brought out three additional salsas while we waited for our food, and we both agreed the green one was our favorite as it had a nice kick and loads of flavor. My son ordered the Birria Street Tacos and he absolutely inhaled them - he said they were amazing. I ordered the Pupusa Combo Plate and while I thought the flavor was great, I was not a fan of the pasty texture (so thank goodness for the crunchy slaw). I am by no means a pupusa expert, but I do expect chunks of meat in my pupusa, and this was like they took the pork and cheese and pulsed it in a blender until it was a pink paste before adding more cheese and stuffing the pupusa. I also feel the slaw, though tasty, needed more vinegar. Service was excellent - prompt and very friendly. Overall a great experience and we'll be back!

Delicious Salvadoran restaurant tucked into Rockbrook Village. Went with a group and it was nice to have a lowkey dinner spot next to walkable bars. I tried the birria taco and bean & cheese papusa. The birria was almost like Ruben meat, super tender, full of flavor and the consomé was nice and salty. The papusa with coleslaw was chefs kiss and we will be back for more. We also had the corn cakes and plantains for the table. Overall great experience and service!

I was at an event at the Public House and decided to order food from Miranda. The girl who took my order was super sweet and recommended so many great things. She also delivered the food to me. I ordered an asada torta, one cheese and jalapeño pupusa, and one bean and cheese pupusa. They were so good I decided to go back a few days later. The second time I got an asada street taco, it was the BEST I've ever had. We also got the Pan Con pollo. Which was also excellent. I will be going back for more tacos ASAP. The Curtido slaw for the pupusas was also the best I've ever had. I ordered and extra side.

In search of a new dining experience tonight, I craved street tacos. I scrolled Apple Maps and chanced upon Miranda Omaha, a veritable gem. This restaurant is remarkably authentic. I selected the Asada Tacos and a Pork and Cheese Puspusa, and both proved to be exceptional choices. Miranda Omaha is a family-run Salvadoran restaurant that warrants exploration. Miranda Omaha

As a Salvadoran the Pupusas aren't worth four dollars they can be better... and I didn't get enough curtido or salsa

Just had an early lunch there. Had eaten there once before many years ago, it was great then. Today…read morenot so much. Had the Salvadoran tamales. I have had Salvadoran tamales in more than a few places and states. I just love them.Todays were the worst I have had. The masa was under cooked and one was only a quarter filled with chicken. Must have been the last one made in that batch. Ordered a margarita with no luck, tried for a beer next. was told the girl that handles alcohol just left. Server said she had a hard time serving alcohol. How hard is it to "Pop a top".

Another Salvadorian place???…read more I feel like my access to Salva-poo-poo (aka pupusas) are almost as numerous as Omaha potholes! Out of all the Salvadorian places, I would say this place has the largest menu coupled with the highest prices (you got to pay the over achieving menu maker somehow!!) Unfortunately you can't get dollar poo-poo here... BUT you can compliment your poo with some plantains and Salva crema! I have a Salva friend who educated me on the wonders of eating plantains, queso blanco, beans and crema like they do it back in El Salvador. This place had just that - score!! It's definitely not for everyone because I remember the salty/sweet/soccer/salva tastes that threw my mouth into a slight state of confusion; yet still induced some Salvadorian saliva dripping down my chin. (that's a good thing) We had the garlic fish dish (only get this if you like whole fried fish) and there was so much garlic, I had to use the fish bones to clean my teeth out. I love garlic more than my nonexistent children, but being on Team Edward, I need to keep the g-lic on the DL mmmkrrr! The poo-poos (which is a MUST at a Salva place) were just meh. Not bad by any means, but just... meh-diocre. I think I would rather go to the poo-poo palace on 17th and Vinton for some dollar-make-my-belly-holla cheap poos. I guess if you are in the area and you want bigger menu (size queens...) including all your mexi classics, check this place out. But ONLY if you order at least one p-poo!!!
