If you are looking for an authentic Salvadoran restaurant you found the right place!! The service is the best with the food coming out fast and hot. We had the pupusas and they were delicious. I highly recommend anyone to try stop by and get you some really tasty food.

Food was great and the staff was very friendly. We loved their salsa. I had two pupusas and two tacos de al pastor. I enjoyed every bite! I also had aside of rice it wasn't my favorite but it was good. Hubs had pupusas. We also had agua de piña and horchata. We'll be back!

Wow. An amazing find. I was "scrounging," cruising the 24th and Q area looking for parking on a Saturday morning. Menudo day at El Dorado's, of course. When, what do I find but a parking lot with multiple parking spots. I arrived at my new favorite restaurant, La Choza. Looking for a treat for your tastebuds? Salvadoran food. A restaurant cleaner than the health department kitchen kind of place. Check out the photos. Spotless EVERYWHERE. I ordered the chicken soup "and a piece of chicken." $16 and worth every penny. Dude who waited on me spoke perfect English. The food? Instant taste overload. A beautiful, powerful, full of meaning scented bowl of clear broth, cucumber slices adorned, arrived and is it ever hot. Wait for it. Keep waiting. The main course arrived four minutes later. A beautiful piece of chicken with rice, salad and four flour tortillas. It has a half-of-lime, if you're so inclined. Green sauce is quite spicy, BTW. Better loosen the belt a notch. Or two. The portions are even bigger than the photos make them look. They serve you well. Leftovers never smelled so good. Ample parking in a Very busy part of town. Clean place. You Will feel safe and welcome. Beautiful music. Please stay away on Saturday mornings, though. This is my go to. Highly recommend.

I found La Choza on an on list list of the best Mexican restaurants in each state. How could this be? The "best Mexican restaurant in Nebraska" and I read about it first online? Well, obviously I had to go check it out. First, this place is Authentic. Capital A. I don't believe they speak fluent English, but the menu is in English and Spanish and the folks there are absolutely wonderful and friendly and so helpful. I actually consider this a plus. The restaurant is pretty small and cozy. Maybe 8 or 10 tables. I've been three times now and never had a problem getting seated. The place is comfortable and clean. I ordered the Combo #4. Two El Salvadorian style tamales and fried plantains. (About $7.50 or $8.00) The tamales were fantastic. Great flavor and very filling. The plantains were the best I've eaten. Slightly sweet with a little crunch to them. Just perfect. I'll definitely be back again and again.

Really amazing food! We had the #2, #4, and chicken fajitas with pupusas. The salsas are SPICY but very flavorful. I got a horchata and it was one of the best I've ever had. We've never had food from El Salvador before so this was all new to us!

This place is known for their al pastor. I got a combo of al pastor tacos and papusas - I think the papusas were actually the dark horse winner

Absolutely a must stop! for some great food! I loved the El Salvadorian influences in the food. Omaha's Best Tacos were had here!!! There was so much flavor and such great tastes with all the pieces. they were out of the Barbacoa so I must return again. The Empanada's were also Fabulous. I do not think there was any breading with them and it was all plantain. I will have to confirm Also I had a banana milk shake that was perfect! This was a stop with the uye taco group. everything went great and I have a new favorite taco place!! However the Chips and Salsa that were complimentary were blahhh! But they were free! Great find Paul!!

I was in South Omaha for a appointment and have been craving some Salvadoran Pupusas for a while. I looked on yelp and found La Choza and decided to get takeout. They are open for takeout, were polite and fairly priced. I order 2 of each type of pupusa (cheese, fried pork skin and mix). Also we got 3 pastor tacos and a mango smoothie to go. I was more than enough food for 2 and everything tasted good. I would recommend and will return when we are craving them again.

Wow!! Carne asada tacos were super delicious!

What can I say? Umm, only thing I can tell you guys is that the tacos I had here were amazing!! There are other two taquerias really nearby and these are the best. The tacos run a little small but they are so full of flavor. I ended up having two orders of tacos. Each is $6. The atmosphere it's decent, not a 5 star restaurant in appearance, but definitely worth it in the food. At the end, that's what I'm looking for; quality of food. FYI, you have to spend at least $10 in order to use debit/credit card. I'm totally coming back again.

    Tacos tripa, pastor y asada

Stop 4 on our monthly Taco Trek. The stop was labeled as "Tacos El Paligro". After a couple trips around the block, we realized the name changed to La Choza The group made it and it appeared everyone was still happy we made the Trek. Tina and I split some tacos (I had pastor and the best tripa I ever had in a taco - she went with Asada and said it was wonderful), 2 papusas (La Choza has a nice mix of Mexican and Salvadoran. I went with the chicharron and she had the mixto. Both were WONDERFUL and the chicharron was way up with there in my book), 3 empendas (HAD to order as they were leche - a little too sweet for me but the rest of the group said they enjoyed them and they were all eaten) and 2 tamales (puerco Salvadoran style - WONDERFUL in my book). The staff was very nice (though very limited English) and the prices were very reasonable for both combo platters and ala carte.

Just had an early lunch there. Had eaten there once before many years ago, it was great then. Today…read morenot so much. Had the Salvadoran tamales. I have had Salvadoran tamales in more than a few places and states. I just love them.Todays were the worst I have had. The masa was under cooked and one was only a quarter filled with chicken. Must have been the last one made in that batch. Ordered a margarita with no luck, tried for a beer next. was told the girl that handles alcohol just left. Server said she had a hard time serving alcohol. How hard is it to "Pop a top".

Another Salvadorian place???…read more I feel like my access to Salva-poo-poo (aka pupusas) are almost as numerous as Omaha potholes! Out of all the Salvadorian places, I would say this place has the largest menu coupled with the highest prices (you got to pay the over achieving menu maker somehow!!) Unfortunately you can't get dollar poo-poo here... BUT you can compliment your poo with some plantains and Salva crema! I have a Salva friend who educated me on the wonders of eating plantains, queso blanco, beans and crema like they do it back in El Salvador. This place had just that - score!! It's definitely not for everyone because I remember the salty/sweet/soccer/salva tastes that threw my mouth into a slight state of confusion; yet still induced some Salvadorian saliva dripping down my chin. (that's a good thing) We had the garlic fish dish (only get this if you like whole fried fish) and there was so much garlic, I had to use the fish bones to clean my teeth out. I love garlic more than my nonexistent children, but being on Team Edward, I need to keep the g-lic on the DL mmmkrrr! The poo-poos (which is a MUST at a Salva place) were just meh. Not bad by any means, but just... meh-diocre. I think I would rather go to the poo-poo palace on 17th and Vinton for some dollar-make-my-belly-holla cheap poos. I guess if you are in the area and you want bigger menu (size queens...) including all your mexi classics, check this place out. But ONLY if you order at least one p-poo!!!
