1. Their authentic popusas are delicious! You can mix the flavors they offer. They have cheese, beans, and chicharron(pork) popusas. Other popusa spots I've been to never have the option of non cheese popusas. And me being lactose intolerant am very grateful that this place does. Thank you! 2. The tres leches cake was delicious! Extremely moist. 3. Parking was minimal 4. Restaurant is next to a gas station. 5. Plenty of seating area read more

We had a fantastic experience at QS Grill Steak. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had a comfortable atmosphere from the moment we walked in. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. We ordered two churrasco plates, one with gallo pinto, sweet plantains, and queso frito, and another with white rice, plantain chips, and queso frito. We also ordered a cheese pupusa and a chicharrón pupusa. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The churrasco was tender and well-seasoned, the sides were excellent, and the pupusas were delicious. The portions were generous, making it an excellent value for the quality of the food. If you're looking for authentic Nicaraguan and Salvadoran cuisine with great service and a welcoming atmosphere, QS Grill Steak is definitely worth a visit. We'll absolutely be back! read more

We've been driving past this establishment for the last 4 months since it opened and finally took the time to stop in... The Good: We came in between lunch and dinner, mid afternoon, and there was no wait which was great. The owner and his whole family was so welcoming, friendly and sincere. They helped us with our food choices as it is our first time here and also for Nicaraguan/Salvadoran food. And let me tell you not one item on our plates disappointed at all. All those delicious flavors, each in their own way, yet not running together at all. I am NOT and bean enthusiast at all, but if we come here I will be more then happy to eat my beans and rice! The portions are perfect to tame your appetite. If I wasn't full I would continue ordering until I tried all their items on the menu! Being this place is close to our work we will start coming here more frequently to not just enjoy absolutely delicious food but also very caring and friendly service. Love these local famy owned places. And we always do what we can to support these restaurants over chains any day of the week!!! The Bad: I am full and have no room for très leches dessert. The Ugly Truth: If every business would care about their customers as much as this one it would be a highly competitive restaurant market here in Omaha. The food as described above was an easy 5 star review just after the first bite. That combined with the smiles of the staff and helpfulness in explaining the food options as second to none. We are thrilled to have found this place and will happily return here often. Do the same thing, come here try it out, get hooked and keep supporting this local business!!!!! read more

QS Grill Steak - Grilled chicken with beans and rice. Fried cheese and fried platain - Nicaraguan Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

I am so happy they opened a Nicaraguan restaurant in Omaha. Everything we ordered tasted exactly how it should. The carne asada was flavorful, the maduro frito (sweet plantain) was excellent and the tajadas were so crispy I could come every day for them. The pupusas revueltas were not too big or doughy and the chicharrón was prepared perfectly. I can say this is authentic Nicaraguan food and the owners were kind and attentive. I ate everything you see here in one seating and i'm not even sorry! read more

First time here. I've had Nicaraguan food many times in South Florida. This was better, and it was delicious. I had the steak with mixed beans/rice, sweet plantains, and fried cheese as an add-on. Also ordered a Pupusa from the Salvadoran menu. Steak was tender and delicious. Sides were perfectly prepared and great. Pupusa could almost make a lunch by itself. I had mine filled with a mix of 3 possible fillings as recommended by my host. Excellent. I would definitely drive across town for this. And don't let the location fool you. Decor is similar to FLA places I've been and clean. Service was personal, friendly, and informative. Highly recommend read more

This restaurant is attached to a gas station. Not a stand alone place. I ordered the chicken. My husband ordered the steak. We ordered rice and beans and sprung for the fried cheese. And we both had the sweet plantains (basically fried bananas). The restaurant is clean and very welcoming. The guy taking our orders was very friendly and helped us figure out what we would want. We don't typically order outside our typical American cuisines so he was very helpful. The food was good. The cheese was good as well but I'd do without. We had a coupon for free pupsas and those were good. Different but good. Id recommend this place if you just want something different. read more

QS Grill Steak - Steak with beans&rice and sweet fried plantains - Nicaraguan Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

Nicaraguan and Salvadoran food. I have been to Nicaragua, El Salvador, and many other Central and South American countries, but I am not even remotely close to an expert on their cuisine. However, this seems like run-of-the-mill Caribbean and Central American food that I've had all over the place. The spousal unit, offspring and I have been meaning to eat at this place for at least a month. We finally made it in for a late lunch (1:45) on Saturday, July 3rd in the second year of the great COVID. We had one each steak, pork, and chicken plates (grilled meat, rice & beans, fried sweet plantain, and add-on fried cheese ($2 each for the cheese, I believe). The restaurant is cafeteria style with everything already prepared and kept in warmers. Everything had a good flavor, but the chicken and pork were dry. However, there were solutions for the dryness that helped. The cheese was good but I would not pay $2 per serving (slice) again. Still, for $13 a plate (with cheese), we were all filled. Will I come back again? I do not know. I think it would be better if the food was made to order. Everything would be hotter and fresher. And perhaps not as dry. Additionally, while everything tasted fine, it was lacking in anything that made my mouth excited. I think it all needs a few more flavorful spices. It's just good, home-cooked food, but lacking the wow factor that I would look for in a restaurant. I am a fan of hole-in-the-wall/mom-and-pop businesses, and I hope this one can survive and thrive. We shall see. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. read more

We got the house steak dinner and pupusas and they were both great. We split both and more than enough food. Highly recommend going to try this. read more

There aren't too man different styles of cuisine out here in the burbs, so I'm extra grateful for this little place for an authentic dose of Central American food. These guys never disappoint. I've had the steak, the chicken, and the pork, and all are good. The meat is always well-cooked (not over or under), moist, and very well seasoned! I LOVE their gallo pinto (Nicaraguan rice & beans). Sometimes I get an extra order of those to have on their own as a meal the next day. The Salvadorien pupusas are good too. If it's your first time I'd get the chicken or steak asada with a side of gallo pinto. The fried cheese is worth getting too if you like cheese a lot, though it's pretty filling. I don't think you can really go wrong with anything here. Try it all and see for yourself. Run by nice people too. read more

Don't let the fact that this is attached to a gas station scare you away. This is an independent, family owned restaurant, serving delicious Central American cuisine. I showed up right when they opened. I don't think they were ready for me yet, but the sprung into action and got me 3 delicious papusas. They were great! Papusas in west O is a rare find! I'm looking forward to going back to try more menu items. read more

This was my second time in. Very authentic tasting. Incredible steak marinaded and seared. Rice beans and fried plantains were excellent. The brined veggies pair perfectly. Best restaurant steak Ive had in a long time and under $12 for the whole meal! read more

We went here for the first time late afternoon on Friday. The place is attached to a gas station so it was hard to find because we weren't expecting that. It was empty at the time and I assume he was the owner who walked us through the menu. He was very friendly. We ordered papusas which were fantastic - take the restaurant's recommendation and have the combination papusa which is beans and cheese and pork stuffed. They come with a little cabbage slaw for the top. We did not have anything else because were just looking for something light. The papusas were a great value and worked out perfectly for a light meal. The only reason for my four stars is the very limited menu and the ambiance. The food is served on paper plates with disposable silverware. Don't know what was on the table but our plates stuck to the table. If you are looking for something different to try, give it a shot! read more
