Disgusting!!! I ordered the chicken nachos and it was not restaurant style nachos. Food was cold, chips were from store, and it tasted very bland just gross threw it away and I will not be back. Go somewhere anywhere else! Idk how good reviews are posted. read more

Been here a couple of times already. It's absolutely delicious and staff is always nice and friendly. I love the variety of food choices. There's something on the menu for everyone! This time I had the chicken fajitas with chicken and rice. They were amazing ! Very flavorful and sizzling hot! Husband had the hot beef sandwich. He liked it but said the mashed potatoes could've been better. Daughter 1 had a quesabirria and actually liked it for being such a picky eater. Daughter 2 had a cheeseburger which was fresh and yummy. Daughter 3 had chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were pretty big and yummy. Will definitely keep returning. read more

Stopped in for a virgin strawberry daquiri and to catch up with my dear friend and Omaha's hottest and bestest bar tender. Anyway what really surprised me is the renovations. This restaurant is bright, beautiful, and very clean now! Last time I was in there was when Lutfe's had recently acquired it and I loved their food but it was too dim, dirty, and had stinky plumbing issues in the restroom. Was super glad Lutfe's moved to their place on 72nd, cause I loved their food but not the space they were in. Anyway Maple 88 has done wonders and really given this restaurant a face lift. I hope more people take the time to stop in cause this place should be popping between the good food, good drinks, and beautiful, bright, very clean, and inviting atmosphere. The building was familiar because it was previously Lutfi Fish. It is a very nice job remodeling (Lutfi was old). The ground beef, burrito, had great flavor and the waitress was very kind. My husband and I had a late lunch there today. We were greeted at the door by our server who took good care of us. We were the only people in the dining room and were seated at a booth. The table was so far away from the seating that it made it hard to eat at our table. We had to scoot way up to the edge of the booth seat or lean way out to reach the table. I was almost comical. They have been open for awhile and any decent manager should have fixed this by now. He ordered the fajitas and I ordered the alfredo and shrimp spaghetti. His fajitas did not come with any salsa, sour cream or guacamole. The beans tasted funny and blan. The rice had zero flavor. There was no seasoning on the meat that he could see or taste. Overall it was edible, but very boring and tasteless. My alfredo and shrimp spaghetti was gross! The alfredo sauce tasted like an unseasoned roux (Flour, milk, and oil). Absolutely no alfredo taste (butter, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese). A grilled italian garlic bread that was pictured with it on the menu, but what I got was plane sandwich bread out of a toaster. It would have been more fitting to go with a side off eggs for breakfast. Again, the bread had no flavor other than margarine. The picture also showed 12 shrimp on it, mine came with 7. I can see one or two, but it was short almost half. I took 2 bites from it and one bite of the toast and pushed it away. When our waitress offered a take home box, I told her no thank you and told her it wasn't good now and would not be any better later. She said she would let "them" know that we didn't like it. No adjustments were made to our bill for something that was not eaten, and no manager came out to talk with us. Management clearly didn't care. Never going back! read more

Very nice what they've done to the place it's hard to believe this was once a Sizzler. The beans are top notch not your typical tasteless refried bean. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The dining room and men's restroom were spotlessly clean. We were greeted by our server with chips and salsa before ordering. This is always a plus in my book My friend and I started with an order of guacamole with street tacos and quesadillas for lunch. The carne asada and al pastor tacos were meaty and delicious. The cheese quesadillas were piping hot and very fresh, and the guacamole was extremely fresh like it had just been made after we ordered it. The street tacos were served with a variety of red and green salsas and fresh lime. There was also red and green habanero hot sauces on the table, but we left those alone. My friend I was having lunch with is from Southern California and he noted that some of the dishes on the menu, the Ramen Barilla for example, are popular and trendy where he's from originally. It's a diverse menu, and not everything is likely to be outstanding, but everything we ate was very good. Maple 88 Mexican Kitchen is a fast, friendly eatery that offers great value. It's a terrific addition to the neighborhood and I look forward to heading back and trying more dishes. read more

We were disappointed. I ordered the pork chops with a side salad and mac and cheese. The pork chops were too thin, overcooked and tough. Side salad was hamburger toppings and served on the same plate as pork chops. Mac and cheese was insulting - it was Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. My granddaughter had a cheeseburger that was simply OK yet generous French fries. Considering we that had American fare, we might go back to order Mexican food, though unlikely. I would give this place a negative if I could. The chips & salsa were eh but whatever. My husband ordered the fajitas. The beans were funky & the fixens were bland. No flavor at all. I ordered 2 beef tacos. Absolutely zero flavor even the tortillas were bland. We didn't eat but 2 bites of a taco & two bites of the fajita & asked for the check telling them that it was bland & boring. She said sorry & brought the check. No manager, no offer of something else, no reduced bill in any way. Up to this point I had been very nice. When she brought the $30 check I said you are not going to discount this at all? You could clearly see we did not eat the food. She laughed & said you expected a discount? Honestly, no I expected to have dinner but that didn't happen so something would be nice. Anyway, her laughing got the better of me & yes I kind of went Karen & knocked my soda over on the way out. I shouldn't have done that & I own it but seriously you serve crap on a plate that can't be eaten & then charge me the full 30%. Service & food sucks here. Who ever opened this place is going to loose their shirt after all the money they put into making it a nice looking restaurant.
