Went to dinner here with a good friend from Omaha, he recommended this place. Wow was delicious. I had the daily special salmon with a seafood stuffed 1/2 avocado, with beans and rice! $23.00 what a deal for such great food. The restaurant was packed with a long waiting list. A must to visit in the Old Market Area.

Boys and I had trinis again tonight. Absolutely a solid 4 stars again. The chicken soup is delicious! My son loves the juicy chicken and cheese quesadilla. Also i have to say they have probably the best beans in Omaha. They are delicious!

I ordered this because I was craving Mexican takeout and haven't had Trini's since I was a child. I was a bit disappointed by the quality of food and lack of flavor. It left me not finishing my entree and ditching the takeout. It was a treat to pop into the passageway to pick up the food, the aesthetic is everything. Service was really quick I'll give them that but I don't think I'll be back at Trini's for Mexican.

Visited this restaurant while in Omaha - a fantastic location. Our server was friendly and attentive. Their specials couldn't be beat 2.99 margs! I had the steak tacos and they were so good. My husband had the blackened chicken salad. We loved ambiance, it's located in the lower level of an older building with lots of greenery and twinkle lights. A fun vibe!

It's all about the ambience here. In the beautiful Omaha passageway Trini's makes you feel like your in a Mexican side cafe. Prompt, friendly service. Unless you want to wait on a weekend eve MAKE A RESERVATION. Refreshing silver patron margaritas by the glass or pitcher. Food is tasty but not top shelf Mexican fare.

Hands down the best Mexican food and desserts I've had in a long time. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and made with care. The margaritas were also excellent--perfectly mixed and refreshing. We did have to wait about half an hour to get in, but it was completely worth it. From the moment we were seated, the experience was amazing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. The ambience is warm and inviting, great for a night out with friends or a special dinner. The food truly stands out and lives up to the hype. I will absolutely be coming back!

Celebrated our 16th at a little different of a spot tonight! Reservations were for 7p, but got seated at 7:20p so making a reservation, probably isn't necessary if I'm being honest. You'll end up waiting no matter. We of course did their $2.99 lime margaritas, on the rocks with salt (sugar is also an option)! I mean, it's hot and muggy down there so why not! The quintessential ships and salsa, with hot, medium or mild as a choice (mild... duhhh). I appreciated the option, actually. Decided on the chicken fajitas - added the 6 shrimps for an additional $7.95 (bonus for not having doo on them!) - that came with some dirty rice, frijoles, lettuce, cheese, and pico. Some hit or miss sautéed green peppers along with some hit or miss sautéed onions. The frijoles were divine! Also partook in their puffy tacos; one steak the other shrimp. Some beautiful looking beans - yes I said beautiful! - ontop of some white rice. I figured they'd be served with refried beans but nope! The comment of "that's some REAL STEAK" was made a few times in between bites, and the shrimp may have blown some air between his frijoles (ha!). Spiced well, and went great with the rest of the items plated. The Hubs is a fried ice cream fiend so naturally seeing it on the menu, we treated ourselves to dessert to end the evening. Chewy corn flakes (which really aren't my thing...), sweet outer shell, and dense vanilla ice cream, whip cream pillows drizzled with chocolate sauce. About 10 bites later and is was GONE. Nice little way to end the anniversary evening if I say so myself.

The atmosphere had a San Antonio River Walk vibe. The service was great and the food was okay. I went with the Big Juan and my wife had the puffy taco. The chips and guacamole were good. Happy hour on Tuesday and Thursday.

Old Market Passageway--Trini's is in the bottom right corner.

My daughter and I went to Trini's on a Thursday evening for dinner. We had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. That was no problem--the location in the Old Market Passageway is really pretty. We started off with chips, salsa, and queso. I liked the queso but the salsa tasted different from other places I have been. Not bad, just different. Unfortunately for me, it was full of chopped onions. I don't mind a little onion, or finely diced onion, but you couldn't dip a chip without getting several onion pieces (see photo). Again, that's a personal preference for me. If you really like onions, enjoy! For our entrees, we both ordered steak fajitas. Our fantastic server (she gets 5 stars!) advised us that if we ordered the steak fajitas for two, we would get a little more steak but at a lower price. So, that's what we ordered. The fajitas came out smelling amazing, cooked with peppers and onions. We each got rice and beans, a container of tortillas, and a platter of cheese/pico/lettuce. The serving size was excellent--we both ate as much as we wanted and there was a still a little meat and some toppings left. Over all, service was excellent, food was good, and the location was pretty.

Fantastic Holiday Brunch today at Trini's in the passageway. Steak quesadillas and breakfast enchiladas were amazing. The staff here are all in the holiday spirit!

We stopped in late afternoon after adventuring around downtown for the day and we were starving! I feel like the allure of Trini's is the ambiance, the Old Market passageway is absolutely gorgeous, especially when decorated for the holidays. Otherwise it is a small, intimate space. We were seated immediately, however it took awhile before someone stopped by our table. We got in drink and app orders, and again took awhile before we placed our food order. For it not being busy, service was not very attentive. My parents loved the salsa, I found it lacking a bit, but they are mild salsa people, and I am more medium to hot. Chips were fresh though! When our food finally arrived, it was delicious! Well seasoned fajitas, plenty of toppings, and they even split the rice and beans side for my mom and I since we were sharing. A heads up, there is only one restrooom in the building, so you will need to grab a key from the hostess and it's a bit of a walk from the restaurant.

Very good Tex-Mex restaurant in Omaha. I'm glad my husband and I decided to try it out! We ordered the white fish tacos with chips and salsa and it was very delicious. Salsa was amazing and fresh. We ordered guacamole and out waiter needed to compt that from the bill and was extremely nice when he forgot to bring it with our main plate. I also love the location! Located right in the beautiful hidden passageway of downtown Omaha.

    Chunky fresh salsa! Yummmm! 06/21/2022

It's super cute inside, with so many bright colors, neat Día de los Muertos murals along the walls, colorful pendants strung on top of the dining area, and a very cool bar with a patterned, arched shelves. Even the dishes and cups are fabulous, with earthenware mugs, blue Talavera style dishes and bowls, and even branded El Milagro margarita glasses. Now more importantly, the FOOD is just as good as the decor and the dishware. They use extra high quality ingredients, and everything is always served hot and fresh. We have had the birria, nachos, street tacos, flautas, and so many other things when we branch out and try something new. Their drink options are also great, with strong margaritas, crisp cervesas, and tasty cocktails. The service is always fantastic, and they are always hopping with customers, so you know you found a good spot. Best of all, you get pretty large portions, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some of the newer Mexican restaurants in town. Next time you're thinking about heading to the Texas Roadhouse area, skip the Roadhouse and try El Milagro instead! I guarantee you will not regret your decision.

When we walked in it seemed like our server was the only one there working - drinks took a while to arrive and didn't come as pictured on the passport but were still good. Overall, the food was the star of the show and our waiter got the job done with our large party it was just slower service than I was hoping for an early off peak meal. Worth it to come in expecting slow service to get a good meal imo!

The service was fantastic, and it felt like a true family restaurant. The chips were so good, and the salsa was spicy but not too much for people with sensitive palates. I highly recommend the tacos. I made a mistake and asked for birria not quesabirria tacos, so make sure to specify that if you want quesabirria (with cheese). But, the birria was good anyways! I also got the taco macho (see the pic for what's inside), and wish I would've ordered 2 of those! My husband got the huitlacoche and squash blossom tacos and they were both so good.
