I love these guys! Super fast turn-around and no matter whether my job is a teeny tiny print job or a bigger deal, they are totally professional and treat me like a valued customer. I can email all of my stuff and any clarifying questions come pretty fast. I run a small business and they are my back-up whenever my printer isn't acting properly. I've had full-color posters, a book manuscript, zines, business cards, and fliers printed here and they are always as expected. These guys are really solid. They have a deep understanding of the capabilities of their equipment and work hard to make your print job the best it can be. The guys there, William and Sean, have helped me with numerous print jobs. They always answer the phone, are knowledgeable about whatever random crap I'm asking them about on a given day, and give me lots of options with no pressure. When I do place an order, it's ready within a couple of hours, and always just what I need. I'd go out of my way to come here than deal with a FedEx Office or crowded public computer lab. If you need something printed, these guys are, 9 times out of 10, your best bet. read more

I just had a terrible experience with Sean Sacca of Minuteman Press. I called to inquire about business cards and initially, Sean seemed very short and rude. He told me to send him an email with my design and the quantity. I brushed Sean's attitude off because he said he was currently working with a client. I emailed Sean a picture of a business card with my business information on it to make it easier for him. Instead, I received an email response suggesting that I did not tell him that he would need to design the card. As a novice who has never designed a business card, I was unaware that this was a requirement or which program to use to create it. I called Sean back and he told me that I didn't send him my example in a design program. I explained that I have never done this before, and he was extremely rude and condescending. When I asked more questions for clarity about the program and what I should have done initially when I emailed him, he told me he declines this job and hung up on me. I understand that people have bad days, but as someone who does not work in printing, I believe patience and understanding are needed when working with customers. With so many other printing options in NYC, I will use another company. If Sean is the best representation of Minuteman Press' customer service, I would not recommend this company. read more

The worst service I've ever encountered. Just went there to pick up a job and because the guy I was dealing with usually wasn't working that day, the other fellow behind the desk was amazingly reluctant to help me out and even tried to over charge me for the job. His answer was that he works on certain jobs and the other guy works on other jobs so he doesn't know what I'm talking about and can't help me: what kind of answer is that? After i tried to explain to him the prints were in black and white ( he even saw that with his own eyes) he still tried to charge me for color prints because that was what was written down on a receipt. He didn't agree to check out with the guy that dealt with the job. A phone call would have solved it all, but no... Too lazy for that. I will never go back to that place. read more

I was in a jam. My sister and I had an appointment with a medical director of a hospital where the surgeon was to operate on my sister's eye, but it was the wrong eye and not the eye that had not been scheduled for surgery. She refused the surgery I had written a four page statement about this incident which we were to present to the medical director. I thought I had access to a printer but at the last minute I did not. It turned out to be rather complicated procedure to email the document to Minutemen Press but the person I had worked with there was patient, knowledgeable and calm, which I was not. I can't thank her enough. I also have used the services of Minutemen Press in Evanston, Illinois where I also had a very satisfactory experience. read more

I have used Minuteman several times for work projects. They have been lifesavers each time, performing my complicated tasks faster than anyone else has quoted on my tight deadlines, AND their prices have been cheaper. Wayne has been great to work with and is very responsive and thorough. I'm not sure what has rubbed some of the other reviewers the wrong way in terms of service . . . if you need a lot of coddling and hand-holding then maybe they're not for you. But if you know what you want and can communicate well, you can expect very professional and straightforward service from this crew. They get the job done and they do good work. Unfortunately I had a bad experience here. I had printed quick files here a few times and the graphic designer was very helpful and fast. I decided to go back to make some more important prints for a non for profit that I volunteer at. We work with a very low budget and I was trying to make the space look better for the population we serve, so It was important for me to have the money be worth what I was getting. The prints came out pixelated, instead of asking me if I had a different size file, they just went ahead and printed anyway. When I saw them I asked the owner about why he didn't let me know about the need for a larger size, he gave me a few excuses one being that it is all in the eye of the beholder (showed me an awfully pixelated image that was acceptable to some other client). Instead of just offering to reprint, he told me to bring them back and he would refund the money, which did I appreciate, but would have preferred to maintain a good relationship and just have them reprint with the correct larger file size. He was not being friendly or helpful, and I'm sad that he lost a customer and gained a bad review. read more
