Sadly this review is going to be negative, so much so that that I would have to say that this take-out order ranks as the worst value of any meal I have ordered in SOCO. For $70, three packets of chili sauce and soy were included for four entrees. The Mongolian beef was 15% beef/85% onions, all accompanied by 1/4 cup of rice. Dumplings were all casing and no filling. We just finished and we're all starving. Can't think of why we would go back. read more

I noticed that Min's Dumpling had been true to their words and updated their pricing on the xiaolongbao, so I decided to try them again and place an order for takeout. When I called, the young man on the phone was struggling just to take my name down, even when I spelled it out for him--it's three letters, so not especially hard. Once we managed to get past that, he struggled then to take the order and explained it was his first day... it got so bad that I took pity on him and asked if he would prefer that I placed the order online, and the relief was evident in his voice. This was inconvenient as the meals are up-charged by a dollar or more when placed this way, and I'm not sure why someone would be left alone on their first day without any guidance, or proper training. Lastly, the person I'd sent to pickup our order reported that they were all but chased out of the store once they'd picked up our items, not even allowed the time to access the condiment counter... I'm not exactly sure what's going on here, which is a shame because the food isn't bad, but the level of service on March 2nd didn't add up. read more

Min's opened 2 weeks ago, and I had the chance to stop in today. First off-the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is a decent size, with plenty of seating and is great for dine in or to go. I am running errands and just needed a little snack while running around. I ordered the pork pot stickers, and I WILL be back! They were delicious, all the right flavors! Just came in with my wife and my son. When we saw "soft opening" on the menu I was a little worried. I know they have two other locations but still, week one was worried there would need to be some improvements. Boy was I WRONG. This team and this spot had everything dialed in from fast friendly service to delicious food. We order the egg rolls, pork xiao long bao, pork pot stickers, spicy shrimp wontons, scallion pancakes, chicken fried rice, steamed pork buns and Mongolian beef. Everything was as good as I could have hoped for and more. Not one thing let us down and immediately realized when we want Chinese/dim sum this will be the only place we call. I wish I took pictures but we were just too dang hungry and every bite was perfect. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot. I promise if you do, it won't be your last time there. I paid 23.55 for an iced green tea, chili wontons and small cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was decent, but still pretty crisp and crunchy. But the chili wontons were a very bland, the chili oil was underwhelming. Absolutely zero flavor, which I was really surprised about, as usually the pork adds flavor, but seriously, I thought maybe I was sick bc i couldn't taste anything. Very nice employees and good flavor, but some dishes' portions were smaller than we are used to at Chinese restaurants. Our order came out wrong, but they kindly offered to make what I had originally wanted. Only thing was that the mistaken order cost more, but there was no offer of a partial refund. Also, someone will bring you a menu, but you order at the register, sit where you want, and grab condiments and utensils yourself, so it's a hybrid of self-serve and traditional. I always wonder how much to tip at such establishments... Bathroom and cafe are clean. I might try it again, now that I know what to expect! read more
