Really sad we've lived in San Clemente for over a year now and this was our first time trying this place! Really great Chinese food. Perfect for a group as the portions are huge. Everything was super flavorful and the staff was kind. The restaurant was clean and relaxing. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Visited this restaurant as a family and everyone agreed that all dishes were delicious! I forgot to snap pictures of the other dishes but we order the shrimp fried rice, beef & broccoli, honey walnut, orange chicken & chow mein noddles. I had to try the famous dumplings they are known for & they did not disappoint. Dumplings are pack with flavor & huge not the normal size dumplings this is great if you are a fan of dumplings a must try here. We visited during the week I believe a Thursday evening so it was not busy and service was great they were very attentive of us. The restaurant is fairly big with plenty of seating and looks like your typical Chinese restaurant.

It's not a good photo but the flavor was amazing

My husband and I ordered the lunch special. We both had the General Tso's chicken and it was delicious. It came with a wonton that had some creamy stuffing and It was amazing. We picked as sides the fried rice and chow main noodles and they were both really good. And I have to mention that the service was excellent!

We've been coming here for a very long time and realized I never had written a review. This place is our go-to for authentic Chinese food, and the staff is always super friendly and attentive. We got the chicken chow mein (our OG fav) & the orange chicken. Both were so beyond good. Inside is nice, clean, and quiet making for a relaxing/ chill dinner spot.

Holy salt Batman. I order the shrimp with snow peas and couldn't taste anything but salt. Same for my husband who ordered the chicken with vegetables.

Simply one of the absolutely worst excuses for Chinese food. The egg rolls were inedible. Avoid this place..service matches the food.

So bad. 3 stars is being generous. It's school cafeteria food at best. Anyone saying this is good or authentic is lying. Do not recommend

The food is fine, but the staff had added tips TWICE to my credit card that I didn't authorize. This is THEFT.

Never again! This place has gone downhill fast. Take out was good at all. Time to find a new actually good Chinese place in town.

I'm 20 years old now, I grew up eating here for every special occasion of my life. Birthdays,…read moregraduations, etc. Every single time my parents asked me where I wanted to celebrate, the answer was always Peking Dragon. It's sad to see the direction this restaurant headed. Such is the cycle of life. I'll never forget the disappointment I'd felt when my family first tried the food under the new ownership. A grimace of sheer horror akin to a child finding out Santa isn't real. This restaurant was everything I could've ever asked for and more. Shane, if you are reading this, I wanted to thank you for contributing to so many happy memories in my life. Thank you for watching me grow up into the man I am today. I hope you enjoyed owning the restaurant just as much as I enjoyed going. Just as much as all of your loyal patrons did. Maybe in another life I'll be too short to reach the counter and ask you to fish out a purple jelly bean for me. Maybe I'll get to have my dad hold me up to the fish tank so I can find Nemo swimming around. Until then, I hope you read this and come to the realization of how many people's lives you've touched; myself included. Thank you for everything Shane, I'll never forget the expression of joy on your face when we'd walk in.

There's even a private dining room for a special event like a birthday or engagement dinner. The staff is super friendly too, and very attentive. Several different workers, not just our waitress, came to our table to make sure we had everything we needed. Loved that! Now to the food! There were so many dishes that I wanted to try! The sesame chicken was what I finally decided on, and it was so good! Slightly fried and perfectly sauced! I added a side of the pork fried rice and it was phenomenal! And at the end of the meal, you get a complimentary mini cup of Matcha ice cream to go with your fortune cookie. I really loved this place, and can't wait to go back to try everything else!

Some of my favorites have been every dumpling, egg rolls, the scallops, the filet mignon chow fun, and the pork fried rice. Meat is always tender. The Eggplant tasted like they had emptied an entire salt shaker into it and was inedible. Our server, for lack of a better word, Isabel, was extremely rude and inattentive the entire time. Isabel thought it would be a good idea to focus on the other tables while basically ignoring ours. The worst part was at the end of the meal after I had requested she take the charge off the bill for the horrible food. Isabel begrudgingly agreed to take it off with not as much as any type of apology. It then took her probably 10 minutes to return after gleefully chatting with other tables and walking by us maybe 4-5 times without making eye contact. Once Isabel produced her handheld POS terminal and asked me how I would be paying, I called her out on the lack of courtesy and basic manners. I asked her if she'd be apologizing for the lousy food and she literally said "No, it's not my fault." All the time she had this maniacal grin on her face that was not only out of place but a little on the psychotic side. Isabel kept glaring at me every time she walked by as if to say I don't owe you a thing and there's nothing you can do about it. After speaking with the manager (Shu) I understand how Isabel has this attitude. He was oblivious to the lack of decency and common sense displayed. He just kept repeating the fact that they had removed it from the bill without the least bit of remorse. All this time I was speaking with Shu, Isabel kept walking around with this crazed grin on her face to hear what we were discussing. I've honestly never experienced any server like her in my entire life. The best Shu could do was to tell me the next time I came in they'd seat me with another server. The next time? This speaks to the oblivious nature of the employees at China Moon. He actually thought that after that, I would be returning. Isabel was the weirdest server I've literally ever had in my life and it was clear at the end that Shu didn't have a clue about customer service or the dining experience. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like garbage by people that don't have any clue what service is.
