Authentic Thai food for a reasonable price. We stumbled on this place when we were looking for a lunch spot at 2pm. Fortunately they were open and there weren't too many people. The food came out fast. The fried shrimp, calamari, crab fried rice, pad see ew - they were all huge portions and so very tasty. We snarfed it all down and we had so much food left over. Value for your money indeed. I love unpretentious restaurants whose only goal is to please the customer's palate. The objective was definitely met! We're coming back here tomorrow to try other things.

Went here for dinner a couple of days ago and honestly no complaints food was great and staff was so sweet. ALSO tons of vegetarian options!!! We got their to tofu wraps, diamond noodles, and a curry (not pictured). Everything was amazing and the perfect amount of food between 3 people. We also had to get some mango sticky rice to finish off the meal and 10/10 i loved it. Definetely coming back!

Still the best after all these years! Quick friendly service, great selection, my favorite restaurant in California. I highly recommend the curries.

Was excited to try this place that I found as recommend by Yelp. Thai is my favorite food and I couldn't wait to discover a new gem. I was with my wife and kids ready to go in on some great food. From the moment we walked in was let down place was not very packed but someone had a stroller blocking door was hard for us to find a seat seating is cramped up. Took very long to get our order even to get some water doesn't seem to be much order. We were very hungry we ordered a lot of food. Food took long to get we ordered the seafood soup which didn't have much seafood and tasted sweet for some reason. The drunken noodles were pretty dry not much flavor the crab fried rice was not that great we ordered the sampler appetizer platter to get a taste of all the appetizer and it was cold lacking presentation. Wife ordered a chicken curry and it lacked flavor over all was disappointed with food. The lady taking orders was nice and one of the servers who helped us tried his best to help we just made the best of it.

Food (5/5 stars): We had a Thai feast with Yellow Curry, Drunken Noodles, Shrimp Hot Tray, Egg Fried Rice, and Crying Tiger! Everything we ordered was great, but my favorite dish was the Drunken Noodles because it was so flavorful and perfectly spiced. Experience (5/5 stars): * Price: reasonable * Wait Time: minimal on a Saturday for lunch * Service: very good and friendly * Parking: there's a free parking lot down the street from the restaurant * Ambiance: it's a nice, simple restaurant. A tad dim inside

Food was very poor quality, the meat was spoiled and sour making the entrees not edible.

Friendly service and decent flavor but they almost certainly cook in vegetable oil. My stomach was wrecked.

Smoked to perfection, full of flavor and tender as can be. The broth was very flavorful and I didn't need any thing extra. Wifey had the Vermicelli Salad with Shrimp and she loved it. My niece had the yellow curry and she loved it. The server was really nice just busy, but she was very friendly. Small place with about 12 tables so it can get busy real fast but there is cool music playing in the background to how the time pass. I promise you that you will not be disappointed!!

Lua Eatery feels like a hidden gem and a special find. What makes their bowl stand out is that the herbs and condiments are already incorporated into the soup, creating a cohesive flavor experience from the first sip. The broth itself is quite tasty with a subtle smoky BBQ note that complements the traditional savory base beautifully. Despite being rich and deeply satisfying, it's not greasy or oily, which makes it feel indulgent yet balanced. Definitely a place we'll be returning to. And as as a bonus, the Dana Point Strand Beach is close by and a great spot to enjoy a post-lunch walk!

As a professional dating coach and a full‑time food lover, I take my restaurant scouting very…read moreseriously. My job is to help you avoid the tragic first‑date mistakes I've already made, like the overpriced spots, the bland dishes, the "why is this chair attacking my spine?" seating. I've wasted the time, energy and money on the other loser spots so you don't have to. But when I find a place that's clean, visually appealing, thoughtfully designed, and serving food that's actually seasoned, cooked well, and plated with pride? Oh, I'm shouting it from the rooftops. So let me put you on to my latest discovery: DIHO SIAM, right in the heart of Ladera Ranch. If you've followed me on Yelp for a while, you already know I'm a lifelong Thai‑food fanatic. I've been loyal to Thai cuisine longer than some people stay loyal in relationships. Since I wasn't trying to overeat, I ordered an appetizer, and let me tell you, this "appetizer" came out looking like a BIG FULL-GROWN lunch. I'm not a big white‑meat gal, so I asked if they had anything with dark meat. I ended up with chicken wings and drumsticks in a sweet‑and‑sour sauce. The moment I cut into that chicken? I ascended. The breading had that perfect balance...not too salty, not too bland...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I'm not saying I had a foodie‑induced spiritual experience, but if I did, nobody needed to know. One look at the rest of the menu and I knew I'd be back. Yes, I will absolutely make the 45‑minute drive to try their lunch dishes. It's worth it. And the prices? Shockingly reasonable considering the economy is basically held together with duct tape and vibes. Now, my one note for the owners: please, for the love of all things holy and iced... offer a dairy‑free Thai iced tea option. It was 94° today, and I was ready to down two giant glasses, but they only use half‑and‑half. This is California. We are oat‑milk, soy‑milk, almond‑milk, "I'm‑on‑Ozempic‑don't‑judge‑me" people. Give the people what they want. Add oat milk to the menu, put a cute little 4x5 flyer in a clear acrylic stand on each table announcing your new dairy‑free Thai iced tea, and watch customers flock to it. And just to close this out on a high note: I'm 100% coming back to Diho Siam. There are way too many dishes on that menu calling my name, and I fully intend to answer. Consider this my official teaser...I'll be updating my Yelp Elite Squad review after my next visit, and trust me, people wait for those updates like they wait for a second date after a great first one. I might even give you an extra star and make it a Five-Star review! Wink! wink! Stay tuned, because this place has officially earned a spot on my "must‑return" list. And don't forget to give me a thumbs up or a heart if you like my reviews and follow me!
