This is probably a top 5 Asian restaurant in the Dana Point area. The staff are friendly and hospitable. Very good service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating is great, both high and low tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They even have a wine bar, pretty cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their Famous Yellow curry is a must try. It's my go-to dish. Honestly everything here is pretty amazing. 10/10 recommend!!!

We really enjoyed this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Getting here a bit after 5 on a Sunday was perfect because shortly after it filled up quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chef was very accommodating for making our dish vegan. Padd see ew was delicious with tofu and the Thai summer rolls were light and fresh. Very nice servers and service was quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice Thai music in background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time trying this restaurant. I always try my favorite Thai curry dish at every Thai restaurant, just to get a baseline. The salmon red curry dish at Thai this did not disappoint. The salmon was cooked well and the veggies were still crunchy and the curry was perfect. Also tried their special dish- crispy duck. Well prepared. Appetizer were the Triangles, these were good too. Thank you for the experience!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]SO GOOD! I've passed this place so many times and we finally went today- it's smaller inside and cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The people working there are so kind! We brought my 1 year old and they fawned over him- they gave him a capped water cup with a straw and even gave us little baby wipes after to clean him up. We shared the chicken satay- I was the only one that really liked it, my husband & dad weren't a fan of the seasoning but I liked the turmeric (maybe cinnamon?) flavor. I got the eggplant chicken- phenomenal. So hot and fresh, and packed with flavor and fresh veggies. I finished the whole thing, even the rice, and it was a very large portion but the food didn't feel overly heavy or greasy. Dad got the green curry and loved it, and my husband got the drunken noodles which I tried and those were also fantastic! Got a side of fried rice for the baby and that was a very large portion and also very good. Id highly recommend coming! We will definitely be back!

This was such a lovely surprise find for me! I was in Dana Point and wanted to try some Thai food and I came to the right place :) I ordered the nutty noodle (sub chicken w tofu) and it was delicious. The peanut sauce tasted like savory peanut butter (I'm obsessed) and the tempura veggies were yummy as well! My favorite part was the service, along with the great food, as the staff were so friendly and hilarious. I had a really good time eating here! The restaurant is pretty small and intimate but a hidden gem!

We keep coming back to Thai This because it's just THAT good!! The food is consistently delicious, super fresh, and full of flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is always great and it has such a cozy, local feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're in Dana Point, you have to try it! YOU WILL BE HOOKED!! We loved the chicken satay, basil beef & garlic shrimp! However, the fried rice is AMAZING!! 10/10!

I've been to restaurants in LB where the menu items start at $13 and up. such as Nick's, and the food and the ambiance are worth it. I can see why happy hour is busy and why they have a pretty big opening of hours for it, , but it shaves 1-2 dollars off if anything. Everything was like 19 an item. The menu sounds decent but the food didn't live up to the price tag. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps, Pei Wei is better or PF Changs, the shrimp tempura roll, the lobster roll, and the drunken noodles. My husband barely ate. Each dish he said was alright but wasn't worth eating I guess. Again I think it was fine but for the price wasn't worth the value in my opinion. Like the macadamias lobster roll - It sounded way better than it tasted. I've had a similar roll at sota and Houston's and I think there's is slightly lower in price and was better. The ambiance is fun. I can see people meeting here casually for drinks or catch up with friends. The staff are very nice and attentive. Overall I think that the food was mediocre for the price. I highly doubt we'd come back.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and it was surprisingly empty. The main reason why we came in…read morewas because I had read that there was lunch specials, so it was disappointing when we found out that they marked the menu that the lunch specials are only for weekdays. The reviews menus that I saw earlier highlighted the lunch specials, and only stated "except for holidays", if you look at the photo, I posted it shows that they marked "not on weekends" with a pen and not even in good handwriting. So we ended up ordering a regular entrée from the main menu and got a tofu pad Thai. It was average price for food around Dana Point, but nearby San Clemente which is not far has better prices for restaurants. Unfortunately, even the pad Thai was really not very good. It was drowned in sauce, which made it way too thick and so the sauce itself wasn't tasty. If I wasn't so hungry, I probably wouldn't have eaten most of it, but didn't want to wait for something else. The other issue I found with this restaurant that is totally noticeable when you come in is the sheer amount of idols that are staring at you, while you sit. I also snapped a photo of this, which I posted. It actually feels more like a temple than a restaurant so just know that you may feel uncomfortable having a bunch of gold statues, looking right at you while you stuff food in your mouth. Maybe that's common in Asia, just felt a little overboard in OC. The only bright spot was our server, he was nice and he did come to our table to check on us a few times. For certain, if not for him, the rating on this restaurant would've been lower, but service is so important these days and he did a good job so definitely wanted to recognize that.

You literally have to wave them down for refills, or remind for sauces, etc. one time it took 15 minutes from when we asked for a check to get the bill. Then another 10 for them to pick it up, so we got up and took it to the front register. Ordering takeout is even worse. They hand you a receipt to sign and tip them for...well I don't know why they expect a tip. Every visit I ask for several types of sauces and or utensils, they are ALWAYS skimping out. If I order 3 entrees and I ask for hot sauce, I should be given enough hot sauce for my order. Skinny short haired lady hands me 3 ketchup size packets for 3 entrees max. The final straw was on a takeout order when I see the typical "3 sauces for 3 entrees" and I ask as usual for more sauces, the lady has the audacity to give me 1 more and then turns around not saying bye. I go to my car and per usual they forget all utensils. I go back in and the lady is visibly mad I'm back, I ask for utensils and she gives me 2 (bro I always order 3 entrees, it's for 3 people). I ask for one more and she scoffs but gives me the third. Then says "do you need anything else?" Yes ma'am, I need you to learn customer service if you're front of house. Every time I come in I'm angered by her attitude and service. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

I try to make it once a year; I had to skip a year because I was a bit late trying to secure reservations last year. I've nothing but good things to report about this dining experience, it is indeed special. I came here with my wife for her birthday this year, accompanied by our two young sons. The setting is outside as well as a mini kitchen and bar. A cool breeze was blowing off the ocean and the ad airplanes were passing over trying to sell stuff to the throngs of beach goers below. It was peaceful and a bit romantic. There is an unspoken ( For the Most Part) camaraderie amongst the patrons, we all know this is a treat not often offered. My suggestions are few but perhaps helpful: Get a first sitting reservation. It's easier and you get a lot of attention from the wonderful waitstaff prior to them getting really busy. Be a party of at least four people, you will be able to sample many more dishes that way. Bring a light jacket just in case the ocean breeze becomes chilly. The cushions on the bench seats are really comfortable, a great feature. The food, as I have implied, is delicious. Some variations on traditional Thai, but all were exquisite. Here is what we tried: Watermelon Temptation, a thirst quenching, not too sweet delight. Pretty too. Thai Iced Tea, a wonderful version Virgin Ma ka Ri ta, a superb creation Lobster Satay Toast, excellent. Crispy Pork/ Moo Tod Kluk Fhun, amazing, this one we had to order a second. Papaya Salad/ Som Tam Thai, great spices, fresh greens. Thai Dumplings, we are not typically fans of dumplings but these were awesome. Tom Kha Hed, most likely the best I've ever had. Be sure to order this no matter what. Yellow Chicken Curry/ Gaeng Ka-Ti, oh this is so good... Pad Thai Shrimp, wow, I loved this dish. Spicy Beef Pad Ka-Prow, this was a real winner, the short ribs are cooked perfectly. Thai Tea Popsicle, very nice. Coconut Ice Cream, perfectly tempered artisan treat. Mango Sticky Rice, I loved the ample mango slices that had been soaking in a very flavorful light syrup of some sort. Fried Bananas w/ Sesame Ice Cream , flavor infusion! Birthday Surprice, a white chocolate covered cake, applause all around. We attended the last weekend before the chef returns to his restaurant in Mexico. I am looking forward to being here next year!

I'm not sure if it was because it was deep-fried or if it had skin on it, but either way I do not like deep fried or skin on chicken. I feel like the last time I had it with chicken, it was neither deep-fried or skin on. My preference is just chunks of chicken no skin.
