    Pineapple fried rice
    Lisa T.

Ordered delivery from here twice. We loved the pineapple fried rice. The crab fried rice was a bit bland in my opinion. The pad thai was good, but only had the tiniest sliver of lime. The pad thai is not orange because they don't use ketchup like a lot of places do to accommodate 'American tastes'. A solid place for Thai food.

As a native Thai visiting Laguna beach I'm pretty surprised that I can find authentic Thai food in this area. I've been here twice already and the food is really great. They use great beef quality. They put a lot of Thai ingredients that you may not be able to find at other Thai restaurants here. Their dishes are really great qualities. I love their beef salad, Thai fried rice, drunken noodles, beef pad kaprao, and if they have mango sticky rice definitely try it! I just took my family there the other day and my family was happy with the food. Usually my dad is pretty picky with food and he only loves Thai food. Definitely come check out this place if you are in the area and crave for Thai food.

Pad Thai, so bland.... No flavor at all.

Not sure why there is such a high rating for this place. Not only was the food below subpar and bland especially for Thai cuisine, but their customer service wasn't great either. We felt we were shown some attitude when asking for certain things by both the servers. I hate to leave bad reviews but I wish I saw one like this before coming.

The place had no AC on and just one fan when I told her if she could please turn on the other she said ok but 25 mins later still nothing. Not to mention no sticky rice which is the quickest thing to make from our meals we ordered. There is like 20+ people in here and needs better climate control. It doesn't help we are by the beach as well. The ambience is loud and the music is ok. I really did enjoy the food but not a place I think I'll be back for a dine in probably just take out is best.

Love their food !!! My favorite Thai place to eat - & I go to many Thai restaurants ! Highly recommend especially as a vegetarian

This is hands down the best Thai food we've had in SoCal--and we've tried a lot of places! Everything was super authentic, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. We ordered Pad Thai, Crying Tiger, Papaya Salad, Green Curry, Khao Soi, and Krapow. Every dish was packed with flavor and had a unique, authentic taste. What stood out was how perfectly balanced everything was--not overly oily or over-seasoned like many other spots. Our absolute favorite was the Pad Thai. At first glance, it looked "plain" compared to the reddish versions you see elsewhere, but don't be fooled--it was incredibly tasty. The manager explained that they don't use ketchup for color like other restaurants, which makes it look lighter but taste way better. The Thai Tea was another highlight--the best I've had, even better than Cha Tra Mue! It was creamy, not overly sweet, and reminded me of the Thai tea I had in Bangkok. I enjoyed one at the restaurant and even ordered more to go. On top of the amazing food, the service was warm and friendly, the restaurant itself is cute and clean, and portions are generous. If you're looking for truly authentic Thai food in Orange County, this is the place. Highly recommend!

My best friend and I enjoyed takeout Crab Fried Rice: fried rice cooked with egg, onion, snow pea, tomato and crab meat (we asked for no tomatoes, no cucumbers--which come with rice dishes and extra egg made gluten-free). This crab fried rice is delicious!!! Highly recommend! The atmosphere makes you feel as if you have time traveled to Thailand. The service has always been friendly and knowledgeable. I haven't tried anything else (yet) on the menu, however other food orders looked delicious. Thai Bros also became busy as we were waiting for our to-go order--clearly this is a hot spot.

The best Thai food I've had in Orange County! It's a very small restaurant, with limited seating. We went on a weekend and it was rather busy but we were able to get seated quickly at the bar along the window. Service was excellent! Super friendly and attentive staff. The spring rolls were the best I've ever had in my life! Sooooo good! I feel like most places the insides are soggy and these were crispy and the insides were the perfect texture! The sauce was also delicious. We also got Pad See Ew and Pad Thai- both chicken. Really REALLY good & large portions which I was so excited about - because LEFT OVERS! I can't wait to go back and try other things! 10/10 recommend

I have only ever gotten take out from here but the ambiance looks nice. All the interactions with the workers have been positive. I ordered the drunken noodles a few times and love them. A bit expensive

I thought this was a really good experience. I had to eat solo, which I'm not super used to, but the servers were really nice and gave good suggestions. The restaurant was comfortable but small and the food was good. I got the green curry and Tom ka soup. Both were better than average tasting and if I was in the area I'd definitely have it again.

Very solid Thai food, nothing good or bad to say about it either though. Honestly a great option if you're looking for Thai near the area but I feel like Irvine would have better options. The place inside is relatively small and quaint has about 10 tables or so. I wish I could give this place 3.5 because 3 seems a little low. Overall service was ok as well. I do wish they had added a lot more curry to the curry dish though, a plate for a curry dish is not the best vehicle.

I try to make it once a year; I had to skip a year because I was a bit late trying to secure reservations last year. I've nothing but good things to report about this dining experience, it is indeed special. I came here with my wife for her birthday this year, accompanied by our two young sons. The setting is outside as well as a mini kitchen and bar. A cool breeze was blowing off the ocean and the ad airplanes were passing over trying to sell stuff to the throngs of beach goers below. It was peaceful and a bit romantic. There is an unspoken ( For the Most Part) camaraderie amongst the patrons, we all know this is a treat not often offered. My suggestions are few but perhaps helpful: Get a first sitting reservation. It's easier and you get a lot of attention from the wonderful waitstaff prior to them getting really busy. Be a party of at least four people, you will be able to sample many more dishes that way. Bring a light jacket just in case the ocean breeze becomes chilly. The cushions on the bench seats are really comfortable, a great feature. The food, as I have implied, is delicious. Some variations on traditional Thai, but all were exquisite. Here is what we tried: Watermelon Temptation, a thirst quenching, not too sweet delight. Pretty too. Thai Iced Tea, a wonderful version Virgin Ma ka Ri ta, a superb creation Lobster Satay Toast, excellent. Crispy Pork/ Moo Tod Kluk Fhun, amazing, this one we had to order a second. Papaya Salad/ Som Tam Thai, great spices, fresh greens. Thai Dumplings, we are not typically fans of dumplings but these were awesome. Tom Kha Hed, most likely the best I've ever had. Be sure to order this no matter what. Yellow Chicken Curry/ Gaeng Ka-Ti, oh this is so good... Pad Thai Shrimp, wow, I loved this dish. Spicy Beef Pad Ka-Prow, this was a real winner, the short ribs are cooked perfectly. Thai Tea Popsicle, very nice. Coconut Ice Cream, perfectly tempered artisan treat. Mango Sticky Rice, I loved the ample mango slices that had been soaking in a very flavorful light syrup of some sort. Fried Bananas w/ Sesame Ice Cream , flavor infusion! Birthday Surprice, a white chocolate covered cake, applause all around. We attended the last weekend before the chef returns to his restaurant in Mexico. I am looking forward to being here next year!

The Eggplant tasted like they had emptied an entire salt shaker into it and was inedible. Our server, for lack of a better word, Isabel, was extremely rude and inattentive the entire time. Isabel thought it would be a good idea to focus on the other tables while basically ignoring ours. The worst part was at the end of the meal after I had requested she take the charge off the bill for the horrible food. Isabel begrudgingly agreed to take it off with not as much as any type of apology. It then took her probably 10 minutes to return after gleefully chatting with other tables and walking by us maybe 4-5 times without making eye contact. Once Isabel produced her handheld POS terminal and asked me how I would be paying, I called her out on the lack of courtesy and basic manners. I asked her if she'd be apologizing for the lousy food and she literally said "No, it's not my fault." All the time she had this maniacal grin on her face that was not only out of place but a little on the psychotic side. Isabel kept glaring at me every time she walked by as if to say I don't owe you a thing and there's nothing you can do about it. After speaking with the manager (Shu) I understand how Isabel has this attitude. He was oblivious to the lack of decency and common sense displayed. He just kept repeating the fact that they had removed it from the bill without the least bit of remorse. All this time I was speaking with Shu, Isabel kept walking around with this crazed grin on her face to hear what we were discussing. I've honestly never experienced any server like her in my entire life. The best Shu could do was to tell me the next time I came in they'd seat me with another server. The next time? This speaks to the oblivious nature of the employees at China Moon. He actually thought that after that, I would be returning. Isabel was the weirdest server I've literally ever had in my life and it was clear at the end that Shu didn't have a clue about customer service or the dining experience. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like garbage by people that don't have any clue what service is.
