Thai Palace 3.5 stars I stopped in to get some Thai food to go and it's basically a takeout place. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp and chicken sate. He said 15 minutes. There's basically no ambience so I wouldn't recommend hanging out here for too long. I'll let you know how the Thai food is. Here is my update. I only got the tom yum soup and the pad Thai so so that's not really enough to give a glowing review, but it was good for what it was. We decided to try this spot and ordered the stuffed angel wings, pad Thai, and pad kee mow. Overall, everything was very flavorful and tasted good, but there were a few issues with the execution and portions. The pad kee mow had great flavor, but it was mostly veggies and barely had any noodles in it. We really wish it had a better balance because we were left wanting more noodles. The pad Thai was good, but the stuffed angel wings were a bit of a disappointment--the stuffing inside the wing turned out very dry. The seasoning and flavor profiles are definitely there, but the balance of the dishes could use some improvement. read more

It has been a long time that we have not eaten to this place... So here we go, First, the place was very messy! It could be a good spot if it wasn't as messy and they were hoarding boxes etc... Second, the food was good, the Pad see ew was good my kids loves it! The yellow curry was also good except the beef was tough but the sauce was great! No, on the vegetable spring rolls and no, on the tempura as well... I am a little disappointed as the food was so little but the price of it was so expensive! We only got one small cup of rice with all that we ordered and so we had to order another cup of rice which was ridiculously pricey.... The pictures here are all we ordered and it was overall $90! This is definitely my favorite Thai spot in all of San Clemente! The service is always quick and the food is always fresh and delicious. There is ample parking in this area so that is never an issue. While I love putting in a to go order to pick up and enjoy at home, I also love dining in with friends and family. My favorite dishes are the Massaman curry and the pad see ew with tofu but their mango sticky rice dessert is also a must have. read more

I love this place so much! I think I'm gonna go weekly. The mango sticky rice was amazing and the mangos were so rich I went back an hour later to have 2 more orders!! Thai Palace is the first place I've ever tried Thai food and it's where I found my love for Curry! I absolutely love their pineapple curry with chicken. It's my go to. It's the only thing I've ever gotten from here. Not sure on its authenticity or anything but I can say without a doubt this is my fav. Meh. This place has a Thai food monopoly in our neighborhood by sheer proximity which may have lulled them in to a weird sense of security. Last night I got 8 satay skewers and a large soup for $60. They charged me for a side of rice and the place is an absolute mess inside. Excellent food! Especially great for vegetarian ms. The veggie egg rolls are delicious, the garlic sautéed tofu was exceptional and the Thai salad with tofu and peanut dressing was light and well balanced. This was just from a take out order. Plus the people who work there are absolutely lovely. They are so kind and polite and they always get your order right and it comes out hot. Bringing it home we didn't even need to reheat it. We do take out for dinner here at least once a month and really like it. Recommend the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew with Tofu. Thai Ice Tea is great. The dine-in area is simple and okay for a quick lunch, but the vast majority of their business is take-out and great for those nights you don't feel like cooking. I wanted to like this place because the staff are very friendly but their food is mediocre. I ordered a lunch special with drunk noodles and a small Tom yum. The drunken noodles lacked so much flavor, no spice and was super greasy. The Tom yum was heavy on the salty side and to make it worse, the chicken tasted old and hard to chew. read more

It was delicious, fresh, hot (temperature-wise) (I personally would have preferred if it was a tiny bit less sweet) but still so goood that I finished the whole plate. The little side salad was crunchy and fresh and the side of rice was also a nice texture. For a little over $10, a quality meal like this has value!
