Since I wasn't trying to overeat, I ordered an appetizer, and let me tell you, this "appetizer" came out looking like a BIG FULL-GROWN lunch. I'm not a big white‑meat gal, so I asked if they had anything with dark meat. I ended up with chicken wings and drumsticks in a sweet‑and‑sour sauce. The moment I cut into that chicken? I ascended. The breading had that perfect balance...not too salty, not too bland...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I'm not saying I had a foodie‑induced spiritual experience, but if I did, nobody needed to know. One look at the rest of the menu and I knew I'd be back. Yes, I will absolutely make the 45‑minute drive to try their lunch dishes. It's worth it. And the prices? Shockingly reasonable considering the economy is basically held together with duct tape and vibes. Now, my one note for the owners: please, for the love of all things holy and iced... offer a dairy‑free Thai iced tea option. It was 94° today, and I was ready to down two giant glasses, but they only use half‑and‑half. This is California. We are oat‑milk, soy‑milk, almond‑milk, "I'm‑on‑Ozempic‑don't‑judge‑me" people. Give the people what they want. Add oat milk to the menu, put a cute little 4x5 flyer in a clear acrylic stand on each table announcing your new dairy‑free Thai iced tea, and watch customers flock to it. And just to close this out on a high note: I'm 100% coming back to Diho Siam. There are way too many dishes on that menu calling my name, and I fully intend to answer. This is one of the first times other Yelp reviews have truly done me dirty. My family ordered takeout because of all the rave reviews, and we were all so disappointed! We started with the glass noodle soup, which was like slightly flavored water. Barely even a broth. We couldn't finish it. We ordered the appetizer platter that has a bunch of fun fried things. The samosa type thing was so hard that I had to spit it out. The rest was just ok. We ordered our favorite dishes, crying tiger and pad see ew (combo meat & shrimp). We couldn't even eat the crying tiger, it was the worst quality meat and seasoned poorly. I'd rather eat a bag of beef jerky from the gas station for dinner than this. The pad see ew was oddly chewy. The meat was very cheap and unseasoned as well. I ended up primarily eating the white rice which was also overly mushy, but at least edible. If we ate in I would've complained & most likely walked out (which I literally have never done), but, alas, we did takeout. Never again. My newborn who eats straight up baby food mush eats better cuisine than this. There is better Thai food around here, this was a HUGE disappointment. read more

I have been a fan of Diho-Siam for years however I had never been to this Ladera location. I will only come to this one going forward. It is clean, the staff is so friendly, they are efficient and the food was so good and fresh. Parking was easy and it was easy to find in the center. Yellow Curry, Eggrolls, Vegetable Tempura are all amazing! Order the salad that comes with the lunch with peanut sauce. YUM! read more

First time here and I was already drawn in by the lunch specials. Unbelievably generous sizes for the lunch price - and the taste was great as well. I prefer more of the savory notes over sweet. I visited on a rainy weekday, so there were not many people and our meals came out quickly. Our server also checked in on us frequently. The green curry hits with the perfect balance of flavor and spice, and the pad see ew is always cooked just right with that delicious smoky wok taste. Honestly every item we've tried has been amazing. Service is consistently great. The staff is warm, fast and remembers regulars which makes the experience even better. Dhio Siam was such a disappointment. I do not know how they were even given five stars. We ordered Mongolian beef and Mu Shu pork with brown rice for take out. We cannot comment on the service or ambiance. All three items were tasteless. The shells of the Mu Shu were dry and the quality of the ingredients were poor. The Mongolian beef was inedible! We threw it out. The beef was chewy and it had bamboo shoots in it and only one green onion. We paid $2.50 additional for the brown rice and the container was only partially filled. Shame on me for not reviewing Diho years ago. I love this place, and you will also. Joe and the team are always friendly and welcoming. Our favorites: - cashew chicken - spicy noodles - pad se iw - Thai iced tea - brown rice Here's the thing. My family have been eating here for years, and the food always hits. It's consistent and fantastic. Just the right amount of flavor / sauce / accoutrements. I literally cannot think of a bad dish or bad piece of meat ever. We really enjoy coming here and it's been a consistent rotation at least every other week. It's in between a Starbucks and a pizza shop in the same plaza as the Albertsons off of Crown Valley Parkway and Cecil Pasture Road. And you can dine in or order online for pickup. I think they are available through DoorDash too, so plenty of options to try them out! They have other locations in Mission Viejo and Lake Forest, but we've only been to this one. We usually arrive at lunch to a spacious dining room and the servers are super attentive with drinks and service. Their menu contains both Thai and Chinese cuisine, but we've mostly ordered off their Thai menu and everything we've had so far has been top notch. We come through for their lunch specials, which is available on weekends and includes a salad with your meal. Items I've had have been the pad see ew, green curry with tofu and pad Thai. And what I like is that they provide 4 different types of chilis - chili paste, chili flakes, pickled chilis and Thai bird chilis in fish sauce. Their portions for their entrees are pretty generous as well. We've had the sweet and sour crispy fish filet, dinner portion of pad Thai and Som Tum Salad (papaya salad). This is a great place that we've been to many times. My husband loves Thai and I love Chinese, so it makes us both happy. Their egg flower soup is absolutely delicious and the chicken lo mein is also a favorite of mine. I had to take down 1 star, based on our last visit though. Lunch menu says it is daily and comes with entree, rice, and soup. However, on the weekend, lunch specials don't include soup and I didn't get rice, so basically ordered an entree, which still tasted good but wasn't exactly what I was looking forward to. Our driver has been there for 2 hours and they keep saying 10 more minutes we are now at over 3 hours and still not delivered.
