Green Salad

I have been a fan of Diho-Siam for years however I had never been to this Ladera location. I will only come to this one going forward. It is clean, the staff is so friendly, they are efficient and the food was so good and fresh. Parking was easy and it was easy to find in the center. Yellow Curry, Eggrolls, Vegetable Tempura are all amazing! Order the salad that comes with the lunch with peanut sauce. YUM!

ginger and mushroom satay, chicken pad thai, egg drop soup

First time here and I was already drawn in by the lunch specials. Unbelievably generous sizes for the lunch price - and the taste was great as well. I prefer more of the savory notes over sweet. I visited on a rainy weekday, so there were not many people and our meals came out quickly. Our server also checked in on us frequently. I know there are other branches of this restaurant, but after trying different ones, this one is still my favorite!

Raad Naa

The food was delish! The chicken was a perfect 5/5. Crispy and just the right amount of sauce. The catfish was very flavorful but had too much veggies. The fried rice was really good as well. The rad naa needed more noodles. Overall, the food was 4.5/5. The Thai iced tea needed to be a bit strong as it tasted diluted. The service was great! The place was clean and very inviting.

Green curry - delicious

Really enjoyed our meal here! Affordable, delicious! Good service, nice portions. Would definitely come here again! Delicious, easy parking, no wait! Our group ordered spring rolls (rice paper), pot stickers, beef satay, fried rice with triple protein, chicken pad thai, green curry, trout, ginger salmon. Everything was so good!

Drunken noodles with beef.

Ordered the drunken noodles with beef and it was delicious. Decent amount of beef that had a nice char, the veggies weren't over cooked and had a nice crunch to it, and the noodles were not mushy and over cooked. Best Thai food that I've had in a while.

Pad Thai

We really enjoy coming here and it's been a consistent rotation at least every other week. It's in between a Starbucks and a pizza shop in the same plaza as the Albertsons off of Crown Valley Parkway and Cecil Pasture Road. And you can dine in or order online for pickup. I think they are available through DoorDash too, so plenty of options to try them out! They have other locations in Mission Viejo and Lake Forest, but we've only been to this one. We usually arrive at lunch to a spacious dining room and the servers are super attentive with drinks and service. Their menu contains both Thai and Chinese cuisine, but we've mostly ordered off their Thai menu and everything we've had so far has been top notch. We come through for their lunch specials, which is available on weekends and includes a salad with your meal. Items I've had have been the pad see ew, green curry with tofu and pad Thai. And what I like is that they provide 4 different types of chilis - chili paste, chili flakes, pickled chilis and Thai bird chilis in fish sauce. Their portions for their entrees are pretty generous as well. We've had the sweet and sour crispy fish filet, dinner portion of pad Thai and Som Tum Salad (papaya salad). I would definitely order these again and will be back soon.

Beef Lo Mein

Nice neighborhood Thai spot for when you don't feel like going far. Best Pad See Iew I've had. Called in a to-go order and it was ready quickly. Ordered the tom kha soup, orange chicken, beef lo mein, and pad see iew. Delicious! I liked the pieces of water chestnut in the orange chicken, but it if you don't like them, I recommend you ask for them removed.

BBQ Chicken. Crispy skin, somewhat dry depending on the cut, & a little bland but the honey plum sauce helps.

The food was really good, the employees were incredibly friendly and the price was less than we expected. Would definitely go here again.

One of the best Asian cuisines in Orange county. Very generous portion served. You can go wrong with the pad thai! I opted for the chicken.

I ordered the popcorn chicken, eggplant, pork ribs, and beef roll. All I have to say is wow, what a difference from when we were dining in. The portion sizes are pretty much cut in half. The popcorn chicken... wow I mean there were MAYBE 10-15 pieces max and I'm talking small pieces. It was a tiny lil appetizer. It was definitely not enough food for 4 people unfortunately. And the garlic pork ribs were literally all bone. So bottom line, don't order take out. Dine in is the way to go

Everything came out piping hot and fresh with good flavors. Perfect spice level, just enough to be noticeable but not overpowering. We had the chashu buns, which were fluffy, soft, sweet, and steamy, exactly what you want to finish off a meal. The Dan Dan noodles were solid but not the best I've had, I preferred the homemade noodles with peanut sauce which were scrumptious. Soft chewy noodles with a light peanut sauce and crunchy cucumbers. The xiao long bao had perfect thin dough with a good pork flavor inside, I was very impressed and felt they could handle their own alongside din tai fung. I've had bad luck at other dumpling places around OC with the spicy chili wontons, but these were aMAZing and a little addicting. Perfect bite size and spice. We polished our plates and felt far too full but it was worth it, I highly recommend!

We were seated at a large round table for twelve. That expansion room is a bit smaller than the original and main dining area. Air conditioning was good given this was during the end of the mid October '26 heat wave. We ended up ordering multiple orders of the orange chicken, both fried and in a brown sauce tofu, green beans, noodle dishes, beef and broccoli, a chicken and veggie dish, fried rice, their eggplant in a sauce, and hot and sour soup. No one left hungry. :-) Tea was supplied throughout the meal. All the food was much better than I'd remembered on previous visits. We all enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and just being together. In that dining room, being smaller than the main room, we had near constant visits from the serving staff. Was this the best traditional Chinese restaurant I'd ever visited? Well, no. But given the food and service was certainly good, and no one was disappointed in any way, I'd easily recommend this restaurant for group get togethers.

I think some of the negative comments about Frank's BBQ come from different expectations of what…read moretraditional Chinese barbecue should be. In Chinese cuisine, some barbecue meats and cold dishes are prepared in advance and may be served at room temperature or reheated before serving. Using a microwave does not automatically mean the food is low quality or not fresh. It can simply be part of the serving process. Chicken and duck are also commonly chopped and served with the bones still inside. This is a very traditional way of preparing and serving these meats, although customers who are unfamiliar with this style may find it inconvenient. The food here tastes authentic, and in my opinion, Frank's BBQ is one of the best traditional Chinese barbecue restaurants in Orange County. It may not match everyone's personal preferences, but I think it is important to understand the culture and preparation style before unfairly criticizing the restaurant or calling the food bad.
