Nothing destroys a decent meal more than slow, rude, belligerent service. Interesting to see the theme cropping up on the low rated reviews permeating yelp scores for diho Rude is repeating as the new normal here. Something changed with this place. Portions less. Service less. What's going on here ?? To lose a regular guest is a serious problem. Cause you get a lot of passes for a while but no longer Rude doesn't make guest happy it seems Meals pretty good. Problem seems to keep happening where table gets served here and there to the point where guest one is almost done before guest three even gets food. Pretty screwed up kitchen. Server snidely said "why don't you come cook the the kitchen if you want everyone served ?" Seems the Togo orders take priority over the in dining guests Makes decent food dining experience as poor as you can find at any dive. Sadly won't be coming back. It's just not worth the chaos or the strange approach to what dining for a nice place out really should be and other Thai places just make the whole experience great. Note to Owner -- door dash doesn't provide the profit "eating in " restaurant does. This doesn't bode well if others have the same too often disappointment here. read more

Usually my favorite place to order from but tonight the pad Thai is so bland. I do like their soup! I ordered the tom yum hotpot and the tom kha hotpot which smell promising I don't know how to give pad Thai more flavor but they should! The chicken sate looks good. Why didn't they give me any utensils? That's one of my pet peeves! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but I've been here twice and it's great quality, delicious food. You can tell that they use real ingredients and cook everything perfectly without too much oil. My husband and I eat here at least once a week. The food is so good and I love that they customize according to our preferences. I get the gluten free option and even ask for lower salt and try eh happily oblige me with the mixed veggies and shrimp dish I love. Let's talk about the to-go wait. We ordered 4 dishes and they gave us an ETA of 45 min. We get there a little early and they told us it would be ready by 6:31pm. That's fine, we wait in the car. Now it's already 6:58pm and they finally get our order done. Honestly, if we knew it would be significantly longer than what was promised to us, then we wouldn't have come. Even if you dine-in, you wouldn't wait over an hour for food right? As for the food, it wasn't bad! Hence the 3 star rating. Diho Siam has a good variety of Thai and Chinese cuisine, something to pacify hankerings of both Asian cuisine. I've said it before, the more authentic Asian restaurants are further north (Westminster/Garden Grove) however add some fish sauce and Thai chili and you can elevate the flavors even more so. I took my friend who doesn't frequent Asian restaurants so I chose to come here as a safe introduction-not like your Sam Woo with BBQ ducks on hooks hanging in the window. Pros: -service was attentive and quick -food served just as I expected the dishes to taste a tad bit on the bland side but not bad -order the Papaya salad (shredded savory refreshing salad with a kick of heat) perfect accompaniment to the entrees coming out (kind of eaten like kimchi is to Koreans) Ordered: -pad see ewe -green curry We had plenty of food to eat and even to take home and make another small meal! read more

Ordered the Yellow Curry with brown rice on the side. I'm a vegetarian, so opted for tofu instead of meat. I think the lady might have been confused, because there were hardly any vegetables in it, just a few small chunks of potato and onion. Small portion sizes (6-8 ounces) in the to-go containers, and 30 minutes of waiting for the food, which was mostly just liquid/sauce. Still, it was reasonably tasty and flavorful. I only ever order Pad Thai at Thai restaurants, and this is one of the best I've had in a long time. Perfect flavors. And FINALLY! An appropriate amount of dressing for my salad. I feel like I always have to ask for extra Peanut Sauce every Thai place I go and they charge me extra, so that made me really happy to see they did it automatically. I will never eat here again. This has been my favorite place in Ladera Ranch but I changed my mind. If there is a negative score, I would choose it. Food is good as well as the ambiance except for their service. My friend and I were enjoying eating yesterday while eating, and then suddenly they put the to go container and bill. Food is really good but ever since Covid they been cutting corners and changing chefs. Been coming here for six years and do take out at least once every two months. I noticed when the very cordial man (manager or owner) is there the chef does a good job but when he's not it's often a miss. I'm beyond appalled by the treatment my wife and I received at this Thai restaurant, especially from the owner. After deciding to dine in instead of taking our food to go, the owner flat-out refused to put my wife's meal on a lunch plate. His attitude was nothing short of disgusting--rude, condescending, and downright nasty. Despite being loyal customers who have eaten here countless times, this man was a complete and utter jerk. His behavior was unprofessional and insulting. We ended up paying for our meal and leaving, but we will never set foot in this place again. One of the best Thai/Chinese food in South Orange County. I've been all over So Cal and this is consistently one out the best Thai restaurants. Our family does take out and we sit down. The service is good! The atmosphere in the dining area is pleasant, comfortable, well lit and great for a families/ groups of four. The food is delicious. We've covered the menu and have been very pleased with the dishes. They are very careful to prepare gluten free meals too (we have an allergy in the family). 7-2-2020 because the food tastes amazing but restaurant needs to package food more responsibly! Sadly they package their scolding hot soup in flimsy Togo containers. The container gets so hot you can't even hold it in your hands. I highly advise leaving the soup at the restaurant to cool for 30-50 minutes maybe longer before taking it home. I opened the lid and it felt like the plastic container was melting to my hand so I began fumbling the container, the Tom Yum soup started sloshing around burning my hand then immediately spilled on my leg. I'm grateful it was me not my kids. This is my burn over the last 4 days. Breaks my heart to leave this kind of review because I love their food. But the public must be aware. Package better. Don't send soup with customer scolding. Warn customers that it's dangerously hot. read more

Great place for families. Large portions, the food was good and the prices are affordable. We had to asked twice if the portions we got were the lunch specials because they were more than generous. Service was excellent, they made my kids feel special. And I can say that it was cheaper than McDonalds, I am not kidding. We had plenty of food to take home. Diho Siam is one of our favorites and we've been coming here for so many years now. The food is always delicious and the employees are always so kind no matter how busy they are. My favorites are the Fresh Spring Rolls with shrimp with added peanut sauce. Delicious! The pad Thai is always on our order and is loved by all. We love to always start with the coconut soup with shrimp which is a favorite, but this time we did the soup with glass noodles and now that one is our favorite too. The Crying Tiger is delicious too, but I do wish the meat was cut as thin slices making it easier to eat and to absorb all the dressing.
