    Mapo tofu (rice not included)

I was in the area and craving some Asian food. This place is a considerable option to curb the craving. It's spacious and clean inside, and the staff was friendly. Located in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. We ordered the pork SLB, which had a thin wrapper and filled with flavorful, hot broth. Don't forget to dip it in the black vinegar and ginger. The mapo tofu portion was large, and they definitely do not skimp out on the soft silken tofu. The flavor is ok, a little bland. But it made me feel healthy, so that's okay haha. I did enjoy the beef noodle soup. It wasn't a stand-out, but it's still good! It's very comforting, and has a good amount of fixings in it, so I'd say it's still worth it.

After my daughter's basketball game, we were all ready for dinner--and LOC Noodle & Dumpling Bar was just an 8-minute drive away. The restaurant is clean and family-friendly. We had five people at our table and ordered the following: * Signature Juicy Pork Xiao Long Bao(招牌鮮肉小籠包)- $13.75 * Signature Pan-Fried Xiao Long Bao(招牌生煎包)-$14.5 * Spicy Wontons(紅油抄手)- $13.75 * Beef Roll(牛肉捲餅)- $12.99 * Beef Noodle Soup(清湯牛肉麵)- $14.75 * Beef Fried Noodle(牛肉炒麵)- $14.75 My son especially liked the beef noodle soup, and the spicy wontons weren't spicy--so everyone could enjoy them. Other food items were just fine. Just give it a try if you're nearby.

    Pineapple chicken fried rice

A group of six of us went for lunch on Saturday around noon. We had never been here before but heard it was very good. Well, it is and definitely a great price. We all decided to share. We had sautéed green beans which were outstanding. We ordered two fried rices, but only should've ordered one because it was plenty. I personally like the pineapple chicken fried rice better than the vegetable. I've never heard of Dandan noodles, but they were very good with a beef sauce and a little kick. We also tried boiled pork dumplings, and pan fried shrimp dumplings. But the best was the fried beef with scallions! Unbelievable, unbelievable! So tasty and good. It was fun to watch them cooking our meal, fresh and to order. Ema as an amazing server and helped us out with choices. She as very attentive.

I wanted to try something new this weekend, so we decided to give this place a go. We were initially put off by their price, but finding good Asian food in this area can be tricky. You gotta pay with your wallet or your taste buds, but we hit the double whammy...not in a good way. We arrived as they opened, so the dining room was super empty. You scan the QR code to place your order, so interaction with staff is super minimal. There are squeeze bottles for sauces on the table for soy sauce, black vinegar or chili oil. Tip: Gently squeeze the sauce bottles without opening the cap since there's a hole on the cap for a steady, controlled stream. Apparently, I didn't listen very well and opened the cap to dispense the soy sauce. It splashed everywhere on the table. We ordered a few things to share: - Beef Noodle Soup: I think we assumed it would be like a Taiwanese beef noodle soup, so we were pretty disappointed that it lacked flavor. Broth was very light and the noodles were a bit thicker with that chewy/bouncy mouthfeel. Toppings were decent with sliced beef, steamed bok choy and a fried egg. Overall, it was alright, but didn't feel like something we'd order again. - Pork Xiao Long Bao: Juicy, but the skins were so delicate. When it first came out hot, the first two I picked up ripped and the broth inside just poured out. The dumpling themselves were okay. - Popcorn Chicken: These were pretty juicy, but husband prefers them to be crispier. The sizes varied with big chunks and small bite-sized pieces. Overall, everything was just okay. Our lunch bill rounded out to about $45, which felt a bit hefty for an average meal. At least we gave it a shot.

It's nice to have a restaurant like this in the area. I've liked everything I've tried with the exception of the soup which was a bit of a let down for me as the broth was quite bland. My favorite is the Mapo tofu which is semi soft tofu is a spicy Schwan sauce with ground meat. Make sure to order some white rice to soak up the sauce. The eggplant with garlic sauce was soooo good. The skin of the eggplant is crispy while the inside is soft and buttery. The sauce is the definition of tasty umami. I would return just for that! You order by scanning a QR code posted in a sticker at the table. The problem is that reception is not great for everyone at this location. I was able to view the menu and order while my husband could do neither. Once you are done you can't pay with the app and must call the waiter over to pay. Feels a little convoluted. Service is efficient but not quite friendly. This doesn't bother me as long as the food is good, which has been the case every time I've visited. Definitely worth trying.

I saw that Loc opened a few months ago so I decided to go here with my daughter for our monthly "noodle date." The menu had a great selection of appetizers, noodles, entrees, and dumplings. We ordered the chicken fried noodles and juicy pork dumplings. It was our first time trying juicy dumplings, and they did not disappoint. The food was fresh and flavorful. I'm planning on returning with my whole family soon so we can try the rest of their dishes and dumplings.

Everything we ordered was so good that we were literally shocked that we were in ladera ranch rather than Irvine!! We ordered the pork XLB. It's no DTF, but still very flavorful and thin wrapping that it was a winner! Next we got the beef roll! This comes with 4 big slices, so it's great to share! The scallion roll was flakey and yummy while the beef and veg inside were juicy and spot on!! We also got the popcorn chicken because I dream of popcorn chicken and boba on the regular. And this legit made me smile.... Because I no longer need to drive to Irvine to get my popcorn chicken fix!!!! This place was legit, although I wish we could ask to make it spicer. The spicy wontons was the BIG TIME winner as it was flavorful and perfection, very similar to the one at DTF!! Lastly we got the Dan Dan noodles. These coulda def been more peanuty and spicy... but overall delish!! We would hands down order everything again and actually can't wait to go back... and order everything and maybe some new items as well! I will say service was really nice and fast. The restaurant is very clean and new and prices were great! I hope this place stays around for awhile! I know a lot of Asian families who have been waiting for a restaurant like this in the area!!!

The service was good and I liked the online service of ordering on your phone. This allowed us to take our time and it was an easy way of placing our order. -Pineapple chicken ($15.99): This was my least favorite dish. I did not like that they used canned pineapple and the chicken was not appealing. For the price I would think they would use better ingredients. I do not recommend this. 1/10 -Signature juicy pork xlb ($13.75): This was really good and the soup inside the xlb was tasty. 8/10 -Wonton in spicy chili sauce ($13.76): I definitely recommend this item because it was extremely flavorful and it's not spicy. 8.5/10 -Chocolate dumplings ($8.99): This came a close second to being last place. We requested to have this dish brought out last and we were really excited for it but it wasn't what we expected. The texture of the bun was too thick and dry. The chocolate inside all of the balls contained a Hersheys Kiss that was not melted properly. Very disappointing. 2/10 (not pictured) Overall I think this place has room for improvement to make it a great restaurant.

Ambience-nice enough Service-nice enough Food-we only liked one dish- the beef and noodles Price-they are charging the going rate. But Sunny dumplings is cheaper and tastes way better. Repeat? No we will not come again. We ordered the signature pork XLB, chicken fried rice, beef and fried noodles Chicken tried rice had no flavor. I doused it with soy sauce and chili oil. The signature pork XLB was not good. It tasted like it was stuffed with sausage that didn't taste good. The beef fried noodles tasted good. You scan the QR code to get the menu and order but the cell service was super, super slow that we just had to order directly to the waitress.

Yes, I really like this place. The food is exceptionally good and authentic. Pretty addicting I would say. The service was quick and polite. I like the restaurant layout, with plenty of seating. Comfortable and quiet at times. I'll be going again to try the spicy fried chicken. The dumplings are very very good, but if you would like something else, they have plenty to choose from.

Custard bun- filling was broken and gelatinous- not great

Our server was very kind, he seemed really new and timid but he was very attentive. We ordered a couple bowls of ramen, a bento box, and a sushi roll. After a couple minutes the server returns and tells us that the sushi rice isn't quite ready so it'll be a couple minutes, no problem for us. After a couple more minutes he comes back and seems really hesitant to say what he wants to say but finally comes out with "I'm really sorry but I won't be able to serve the sushi roll or the sushi with that comes with the bento box, I don't think the chef wants to make it." Given the restaurant opens at 11:30 and we were the only customers there with an arrival time of 12:45 I expected 1. The sushi rice would be ready because it was over an hour after opening 2. For the chef to make whatever is available on the menu. My family isn't one to make a scene so we let the server know that it was fine and we would order something else. The restaurant is small enough that you hear every exchange and when our server went back to give our order the two chefs spoke to each other in Spanish and then to the server in english. My family and I are filipino but unfortunately for the chefs in the back I do understand Spanish and all I will say is that they were definitely giving our server a hard time. I try my best to be very gracious because you never know what someone is going through but I will stay true to my experience and what I witnessed. I personally do not condone any bullying and so I really did not appreciate the way they were treating our server or the effect it had on our dining experience. Won't be returning to this location.

The Dan Dan noodles are my husband's favorite, and I really like that they can make them non-spicy, which is a great option for my daughter. For soup, we prefer the big wonton soup over the small wonton soup because it comes with seaweed. The broccoli, however, could definitely be cooked a little longer--it's too hard for our liking. The service is basically nonexistent. You're expected to order from your phone and pay upfront, so don't come expecting much table service. One thing that really bothers me is the water service and sanitation. Instead of emptying and properly cleaning the water jars, they appear to simply refill them with more water and give them to the next customer. Knowing how messy kids' hands can get, this just doesn't sit well with me. I think the sanitation could definitely be improved. Overall, the food has several things we really enjoy, especially the green onion pancake, Xiao Long Bao, and Dan Dan noodles. My job is to help you avoid the tragic first‑date mistakes I've already made, like the overpriced spots, the bland dishes, the "why is this chair attacking my spine?" seating. I've wasted the time, energy and money on the other loser spots so you don't have to. But when I find a place that's clean, visually appealing, thoughtfully designed, and serving food that's actually seasoned, cooked well, and plated with pride? Oh, I'm shouting it from the rooftops. So let me put you on to my latest discovery: DIHO SIAM, right in the heart of Ladera Ranch. If you've followed me on Yelp for a while, you already know I'm a lifelong Thai‑food fanatic. I've been loyal to Thai cuisine longer than some people stay loyal in relationships. Since I wasn't trying to overeat, I ordered an appetizer, and let me tell you, this "appetizer" came out looking like a BIG FULL-GROWN lunch. I'm not a big white‑meat gal, so I asked if they had anything with dark meat. I ended up with chicken wings and drumsticks in a sweet‑and‑sour sauce. The moment I cut into that chicken? I ascended. The breading had that perfect balance...not too salty, not too bland...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I'm not saying I had a foodie‑induced spiritual experience, but if I did, nobody needed to know. One look at the rest of the menu and I knew I'd be back. Yes, I will absolutely make the 45‑minute drive to try their lunch dishes. It's worth it. And the prices? Shockingly reasonable considering the economy is basically held together with duct tape and vibes. Now, my one note for the owners: please, for the love of all things holy and iced... offer a dairy‑free Thai iced tea option. It was 94° today, and I was ready to down two giant glasses, but they only use half‑and‑half. This is California. We are oat‑milk, soy‑milk, almond‑milk, "I'm‑on‑Ozempic‑don't‑judge‑me" people. Give the people what they want. Add oat milk to the menu, put a cute little 4x5 flyer in a clear acrylic stand on each table announcing your new dairy‑free Thai iced tea, and watch customers flock to it. And just to close this out on a high note: I'm 100% coming back to Diho Siam. There are way too many dishes on that menu calling my name, and I fully intend to answer. Consider this my official teaser...I'll be updating my Yelp Elite Squad review after my next visit, and trust me, people wait for those updates like they wait for a second date after a great first one. I might even give you an extra star and make it a Five-Star review! Wink! wink! Stay tuned, because this place has officially earned a spot on my "must‑return" list. And don't forget to give me a thumbs up or a heart if you like my reviews and follow me!

We started with the glass noodle soup, which was like slightly flavored water. Barely even a broth. We couldn't finish it. We ordered the appetizer platter that has a bunch of fun fried things. The samosa type thing was so hard that I had to spit it out. The rest was just ok. We ordered our favorite dishes, crying tiger and pad see ew (combo meat & shrimp). We couldn't even eat the crying tiger, it was the worst quality meat and seasoned poorly. I'd rather eat a bag of beef jerky from the gas station for dinner than this. The pad see ew was oddly chewy. The meat was very cheap and unseasoned as well. I ended up primarily eating the white rice which was also overly mushy, but at least edible. If we ate in I would've complained & most likely walked out (which I literally have never done), but, alas, we did takeout. Never again. My newborn who eats straight up baby food mush eats better cuisine than this. There is better Thai food around here, this was a HUGE disappointment.
