My husband and I decided on Corky's for dinner tonight. After a long day at work for me and a long work out session for my husband we decided we deserved a treat. It always amazes me how utterly MASSIVE the portions are. I was glad I ordered the soup/salad/bread combo since my husband's plate of fried chicken was just BIG. It was half a chicken (leg, wing, breast and thigh) perfectly juicy and crispy, along with mashed potatoes and gravy with a side of jalapeño corn bread. Even with two people we still couldn't finish everything. They do not compromise on taste at all even with the portion size. Shout out to our server Alfredo for the fried chicken recommendation. He was right, it was well worth the calories for sure. He was super attentive and friendly when we were there, great guy to chat with. Take some time to check out this place, its well worth it. Came here for the first time the other day. I had just gotten home from a work trip and was in the mood for breakfast food even though it was well past 2pm. My fiancé had always mentioned this place but we never made the drive. Finally did and it was worth it. Loved the blueberry pancakes and the skillet. Pancakes were not only huge they tasted great. Ive been coming here for a long time since back from when it first opened and was a 24/7 diner. The quality has returned with great crispy fries. Delicious chicken fried steak and the biscuits and gravy are very flavorful. The gravy has chunks of fresh sausage in it and the biscuits go really well with this. Their tea is pretty good but their cookies are excellent and I haven't had their pies in awhile but im sure they are back to being great again too. The staff is really friendly and the service is attentive and accommodating. I continue to come here regularly because its a great location to visit with family and friends. If you want large portions of sub-par food with average service and a sometimes clean atmosphere... this is your spot! It's open a lot!

Good friends of ours suggested Corky's as a nice breakfast place as it's genuinely American and it reminds me quite a bit of the Cheesecake Factory or a Corner Bakery. We ordered a Reuben sandwich and the pumpkin pancakes as it's the season for those.... the former was very nice, good bread, meat and the fries were well done as we like them that way. The pancakes were fluffy but pumpkin flavor.... very faint which was a bit of a disappointment. Of course, restaurants now have to deal with increased cost of business which translates in cheaper ingredients of which oil is a big factor..... we can tell one day later ;-). Nevertheless, a good place to meet, unlimited (and drinkable) coffee and nice staff. read more

That's what you get in my home of Marin County. Corky's serves huge portions, fresh breakfast that is tasty, and the prices are fantastic. A 5 egg Denver omelette! This place delivers, the service was spot on, and your food comes out in a timely manner. I just don't get the low scores here. Come up to my area, 15 miles north of San Francisco, and experience a $55 breakfast with your significant other and leave feeling like you got ripped off. Corky's is very good. read more

We've lived in RSM for 5 years and never knew about this fantastic place in Ladera Ranch! But we just retired and fell upon it. Great breakfasts and then we came back for lunch. . . If you order your eggs scrambled soft or over medium that's how they will be prepared. Many of the breakfast omelets are huge and can be easily shared. The baked goods are delicious. We had the breakfast croissants. I've never in my life tasted cheese that was this abhorrent. I don't like American cheese anyway, but this tasted like something completely processed. It left a chemical taste in my mouth. My son and I were actually in denial about the taste while we were eating it. I can't even describe it. I suspect that it would be like margarine. You know how bugs don't eat it because it's processed. Same thing. Just horrible. I'm not complaining about the restaurant. I just don't understand what that stuff was. My husband & I went tonight for dinner. I haven't have the chicken pot pie in quite some time. I personally make pot pie at home but it so nice that someone else makes, an I just enjoy. I told my husband they changed the recipe! I love this pot pie the gravy inside was perfect. It's wasn't dry but prefect. This is how I make my pot pies. The veggies are not mushy, cubed prefect to that ratio of chicken and gravy. Try it it's delicious! My husband had Thanksgiving dinner, which is one of his faves on the menu. Have talked about the delicious potato skins at Corky's to my girlfriend, Marilyn, who was visiting me from Ocean Springs, MS. So Marilyn said let's go get some since they don't have a restaurant there that offer them. She was ecstatic over the portion size and the fantastic taste which was again delivered quickly and professionally by Jaclynn, who is definitely my favorite waitress from anywhere!
