Aloha Stacks is one of the regular places my Coffee Group likes to visit. This was my first time getting the chance to try it and I was pleasantly satisfied. A very nice place to start your day. My girlfriend and I arrived during a good time window to where they were busy, but tables were still available. My girlfriend ordered the pancake breakfast with sausage & bacon, while I had the mushroom, spinach & cheese omelet. Enjoyed the fact that they had two people working the table areas, keeping them clean, affording a good turnover rate as well as helping me with getting a carafe of water and a to go box for my girlfriend's unfinished breakfast, for which she enjoyed later that day. Even though it can get crowded on a Sunday morning, there appears to be ample tables and a good turnover rate to meet the demand. Went to this venue on Labor Day and it was extremely busy! You have to order your food at the counter then they find your party a table. It works out well and when your food is ready, they bring it to your table. The service was exceptional. I had the Ice Tea and Breakfast Burrito. Way more food than I could consume and they brought a container so I could bring it home. The food was great except my beans were a little cold, but the burrito was warm and delicious. The restaurant was clean and there were tables outside also. Quite frankly, I was impressed with service and how quickly tables were cleaned for the next customer. Inside is lined with booths and plenty of seating, and an A-frame menu advertising their specials. The system here is order at the counter and you are given a number, then you find a seat and they bring your order to you. Service was prompt and friendly! I ordered the "breakfast taco" with bacon. On the menu it is singular, says "taco", not "tacos" so I had no idea what I was actually getting myself into! When my food came, I was shocked to see 3 very generously filled tacos adoring my plate. I generally have a small appetite so I was only able to finish one taco before realizing I needed to take the rest to go. The tacos were good, and the tiny salsa they came with was delicious. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito with kalua pork, and he also got a coconut coffee. The coffee was served with some cute latte art and had a nice balance between the coffee flavor and the flavored syrup. It was just the right amount of sweetness. The burrito was delicious, and the pork was so flavorful! We were both very happy with our meals and are excited to come back for breakfast again. This place is always great but especially today I felt the need to give them a rating. My husband I went early in the morning and it was fantastic. It was crowded inside so we opted to sit outside. The food came out legit within 5-7 minutes and was absolutely delicious. The server who brought our food out was kind enough to turn on the outside heating for us as it was chilly and there was a multiple servers stopping by to check on us every 10 minutes or less. She recommended the crepes, so you can bet I'll be back to try those next time. I went with spam in my burrito, which I probably wouldn't do again, but I'm excited to try a different meat next time. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into their food. There's a good amount of seating at the restaurant. Moco Loco! Moco Loco! Moco Loco! ...and Gluten Free Pancakes! This was our third time at this location (having already become a fan on the one in Irvine) and the service was once again stellar. While I prefer the Moco Loco with a Hamburger Patty or Chicken Katsu, this time I had it with Portuguese Sausage just to mix it up. Good though not as good as the others. The Medium Poached Eggs were perfect, as always. My wife and daughter both had basic pancakes, eggs, and bacon (the kids meal at just $8 is the perfect amount of food). And the GF version was indistinguishable from the regular. Good Coffee and excellent Orange Juice too, btw. One note for those conscientious or sensitive to sweet things; They put powdered sugar on top of many items by default. One more shout out to the quality of the employees. I think I prefer this style restaurant setup, because it's so much more efficient, and you're not stuck waiting forever for your server to come back to give you your check. There was a decently long line out the door, but it moved pretty quickly, I would say it took about 10 minutes. It was also super easy to find seating; they have indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Kahlua pork Benedict which was recommended by the staff, and my mom ordered the strawberry waffle. I'm a big Benedict fan, so I was excited to try their signature Hawaiian shredded pork twist. It was very tasteful, juicy, and well-balanced with the hollandaise sause. My eggs were poached to perfection! My dish also came with a side of potatoes, I was so full I couldn't even get through all of it! Highly recommend this spot for brunch. Popular brunch spot in Mission Viejo. Came here with a friend on a weekend, and there was a line, though probably only waited about 10-15 minutes. You order at the counter, and they bring your order to you. I got the following: - Hawaiian Latte (1/5): Would not order this again... very milky and barely any coffee taste. Also, they gave me a stirring stick? Definitely not worth the price. - Ube Waffles (3.75/5): Probably the redeeming factor of this visit, though not by much. Quite heavy with the whipping cream on top. Definitely heavy on the sugar: would love less sugar and more ube flavor instead. Taste does get a bit boring after a while though. My friend got the ube coconut pancakes, which were similar to the waffle. Overall, I don't think I'll be ordering a drink here again. Food was okay, and it wouldn't be my top choice for a brunch spot, but Mission Viejo is a bit scarce on the brunch scene. read more

If you want to try Aloha Stacks, I highly recommend a different location because this one is absolutely terrible. TL;DR: They overcook eggs for eggs benedict and try to pass off incorrect dishes as the correct ones by being silent when they hand you dishes. Food: My group ordered 4 egg dishes with eggs that had runny yolks (eggs benedict, sunny side up, and over easy). 3 of 4 egg dishes were overcooked. I don't know about y'all but when I order an eggs benedict, I expect poached eggs. Not hardboiled eggs in the shape of a poached egg. The over easy eggs looked like someone tried to scramble the eggs in the pan halfway through cooking and then gave up. The sunny side up eggs were perfect though. One person in my group sent the 3 egg dishes back because it really sucked to eat an eggs benedict with a hard boiled yolk. Macnut Banana pancakes tasted fine but texturally could not hold their own. Everything kept falling apart and it didn't seem to be just because of the macadamia nuts. The pancake crumbled and had layers. I will say though that the amount of macadamia nuts was quite generous. Service: The server was silent...it was odd. She put our dishes on the table without a word and placed them in front of whoever she felt like. It was up to us to figure out which dish was what. When we asked if we could get replacement eggs for the overcooked ones (I have never sent back food but I don't regret sending these ones back because eggs are so simple and we didn't ask for a whole new plate, just new eggs), she took all of the plates. When she came back, again no words, didn't try to ask who ordered what. To make it better, one of the dishes was wrong and she acted offended when we pointed it out. Eventually she did take it back and brought out the correct item. There was a lot of empty table full of dirty dishes. It seemed like there were a lot of staff just standing around. One of the ladies was doing all the work. She bussing tables and saw the nearby table spilled a whole cup of juice on the floor and it flowed under a couple of chair from our table and cleaned it up for us. (we had put down some napkins and called it a day before she offered to clean it.) I didn't get the lady's name but she is the best part of the whole experience. read more
