I get it with their fried rice and a side of their spicy mayo trust me you cannot go around with that order they're gravy it's so perfected and just ties everything together. Another great plate from here is their spicy chicken waffle their waffle is nice and fluffy their chicken is nice and moist and again the spicy mayo is just the cherry on top. If you're looking for something sweet you cannot go wrong with the fruity pebbles French toast and their Ube pancakes. OK if you're a big pancake or French toast fan you may love this place... However they've gone all Ritz Carlton on us now. When you order and decide just a water( due to the $15.50 bacon , eggs , hash browns and get this toast an extra 4 dollars ( No BS ) so $ 20.50 ...they have it in a glass craft with ice that you pour at your table ...please ...the water/ice taste like it came out of a rotten garden hose...,so they now escort you to your table where there are no accouchements just a lovely fake flower. I figure this is so you're dependent on your server to bring you everything ketchup hot sauce etc. Now I don't want to dump on the staff as this is not their fault this is restaurant policy for sure . There was a line to order and we waited maybe 20min. There is limited seating and it's a tight space both inside and outside. They have a few dead tables by the line to order cause of the narrow entry way. The food was pretty good but the portions were small, especially for the price. The other stacks locations and Hawaiian brunch places have a lot bigger portions from what I remember. Not sure if they're related but the menus seem pretty similar. Really good, big portions, even when busy we got our food quite quickly. The portions you could probably share between a friend. They did mess up our order but it was very loud so I think he couldn't hear me that well and I'm honestly glad because it would've been too much. What a great little breakfast place! One of the best in Mission Viejo. We got their spam musubi and meat lovers omelette. Went to Stacks Pancake House for breakfast this morning and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Canadian Eggs Benedict and swapped the home-fried potatoes for tater tots -- great choice! The ordering system is a little different: you order and pay at the counter, they hand you a basket with napkins, utensils, and a table number stand, then you choose your own seat. I asked for water and they gave me a disposable cup along with an entire carafe of ice water. My only small gripe was that my table hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest, but when I flagged down a young employee, she was very kind and immediately wiped it down with a smile. I opted to sit indoors, but there's also outdoor seating with umbrellas available. (There's a restroom on-site too, though I didn't use it.) The food arrived quickly, looked beautiful, and tasted amazing! Everything was hot, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Stacks is one of the best if not the best breakfast spot in Mission Viejo. Everything I have tried has been amazing. The last time I went, I ordered the avocado omelette and the Hawaiian iced latte. The omelette is very yummy and they give you plenty of food. I was able to customize my omelette by requesting ham and no cheese. I love that they include plenty of avocado on top and I chose fruit on the side. Even better than the omelette was the Hawaiian iced latte. Wow! I was truly impressed by this latte. It has such delicious flavors such as macadamia nut but is not overly sweet. You can tell that they use quality coffee in their lattes. Stacks has both indoor and outdoor seating areas. I know this place can get pretty crowded, especially during the weekends. It was not as crowded when we went around 1 p.m. on a Sunday. I did feel that the cashier could have been friendlier as he was not the most welcoming, but our server was super sweet! I love that this place adds a Hawaiian twist to their menu options. I have visited various Stacks in the OC (RSM, Irvine, Dana Pt, MV), and service has been consistently wonderful. Wait staff are attentive, professional and stay busy. Portions are big. Menu is diverse, something for everyone. Family favorites are the MacNut french toast, Loco Moco, omelettes, breakfast burritos, guava juice, and the teriyaki and katsu lunch plates. Great tasting Hawaiian dishes that brought me back to the islands. As soon as you enter you can review the menu on the wall prior to ordering. We love the Newport Beach location however this one was simply awful. Service was TERRIBLE and cashier could not take orders correctly. On top of the terrible service, the food was barely edible. Order was messed up, the omelet was SEVERELY overcooked (I'm talking crispy and hard to chew its so cooked) and half the food was cold. For the price you pay, go to another one of their locations or just go somewhere else. read more

We go to Stacks most weekends. The kids love their pancakes and I'm a big fan of the Chilaquiles. They make the food quickly and there is always seating available. It may look busy but they have it down to a science. The island vibes are so great. They do a great job blending the typical breakfast foods we know with what those in Polynesia enjoy as well. read more

I went to this location this morning and it was horrible. It took along time for my friend to get her breakfast while I had mine already . I ordered eggs Benedict and the eggs were hard boiled sent it back, the next plate same thing (apparently they do not know how to cook poached eggs) so then I ordered the avocado omelette no mushrooms (got it with mushrooms) sent that back and finally got an ok omelette. The manager never offered to give a free coffee or at least a discount for the inconvenience and mistakes. Very poor customer service. read more

People in this area it seems dont have very high standards and rate this average place higher than it deserves. I had the chorizo scrambler and it was very average (seriously I have never had a scrambler without eggs), my friend has a breakfast burrito which he also found average and my other friend had the 2 egg breakfast, which he also found just okay. The pancakes, which is what they are supposed to be known for, were also nothing special. But what I really cant stand is when restaurants cant even provide decent beverage selections. $5.25 for a glass of carbon orange juice , or $7 for a smoothie that has strawberry SYRUP? After many years of eating at Stack's, I still think they are the best breakfast around. Right now I am eating I one of my fav dishes, Island Chilaquiles. The fried tortilla strips come out crunchy, unlike most restaurants that serve them soggy. The savory and spicy flavors of the sauce combined with the smokiness and mild sweetness of the kalua pork works great! The refried beans with queso fresco are tasty.
