Steamed pork ribs - I was surprised by this because there was a lot of meat on the ribs, where in other dim sum places, I can't say that. Green beans - Now I know why they are a best seller. DELISH with a nice crunch. Beef noodle soup - YUM. Not oily at all. Very flavorful and nice fatty cuts of beef. Fried sticky rice dumpling with ground pork - MY FAVE. I wanted to order more! Tasted fine but lack the balance between the dumpling skin and the rest of the items. Shumai had a specific flaw. One of the pieces had a hard tendon that was inedible. What a find for South OC. Huge variety of dishes with generous portions and affordable prices. It's a big restaurant with tons of seating and I'd be surprised if there is ever a long wait. They give you paper menus and have an easy to use QR code setup to order (we did see a couple tables ordering from a waitress). The cucumber salad was much larger than we expected and was a nice balance of sweet and salty, we will definitely be getting this dish again. The hot and sour soup was quite sour and once again was a huge serving. The scallion pancake was crispy and flavorful. What we ordered: House Special Onion Pancake - 8/10 Crispy, flavorful, and came out quickly. My coworker especially loved this. Black Truffle XLB - 6/10 I love truffle, but this one didn't quite live up to my expectations. It wasn't bad, just not as flavorful as I had hoped. Spicy Wontons - 8/10 Great flavor with a nice kick. Steaming hot, juicy and very flavorful. 2) Fish roe shrimp & pork shumai $8.77 - 5/5. Plump and delicious. 3) wonton soup (pork) $12.77 - 3/5. The wontons were good and we really enjoyed this, however, the broth was unfortunately bland. 4) Green bean with garlic $15.77 - 5/5. Well seasoned and perfectly cooked. There were a couple longer pieces where I wish they would've ripped the seam of the green beans off because it got stuck when I tried to swallow it...twice. 5) Pork & shrimp dumplings (pan-fried) $13.77 extra &1 for pan-fry - 5/5. Got food poisoning here possibly due to raw pork dumplings. My friend and I went and got a few dishes, most of which tasted pretty good. However the low rating is due to being served raw pork dumplings twice. First time my friend noticed that 2 of the pan fried dumplings were stuck together and the dough was still raw, so we let the waiters know and they were apologetic about it (based off their behavior it seemed like this happens semi-frequently) and sent it back into the kitchen so we could get a new batch. Second batch came through and the pork filling was pink. Although the place was nice and food tasted alright, I just think you can't fail to cook your signature item twice in a row and have it be roughly $30 per person. Soup, ALL dumplings, spring rolls, and tea, were all delicious! Tea was refreshing, and dumplings were succulent and juicy! The chicken fried rice was mediocre, at best! The soup was flavorful. In fact, AVOID the chicken fried rice, it was way too moist. When I arrived yesterday, it wasn't super crowded. The service was poor and fell short. I felt ignored and unvalued. No real communication. I had to yell for my certain things, after politely waving them to come to my table for to-go boxes and check. They didn't check in to see how I was doing or if I liked anything else. The service was so disappointing. As delicious as the food is, I'm saddened to say that I won't be returning. I immediately noticed almost all items ended with 77, e.g., 5.77, 9.77, 13.77, etc. Seaweed salad was decent but the portion is on the small side.
