Min's Dumpling is delicious casual eatery on busy Avenida Del Mar in San Clemente where you must order the dumplings! Not only are they beautiful but they are packed with flavor. The orange chicken was perfectly prepared and I could taste the freshness that was oh so good. The staff is welcoming and attentive providing a great dining experience. Anytime you're in San Clemente, treat yourself to beautiful freshness at Min's Dumpling.

Pork pot stickers
Quinn N.

Min's dumpling is on a very cute street, if you're in the area, I would highly recommend to check out and have some light bites. Everything was decent. We had cucumber, xiaolong bao/dumplings, pot stickers and sweet piggy buns. The pot stickers are the best among them, the cover is thin, fried to perfection. Service was a little slow and they forgot 1 of my order so it took additional time for us to wait. It gives a fast casual dining vibe, but sit down wait time.

Taro smoothie boba

Never tried this place before, I'm sure it's good I didn't order anything else except the Taro Smoothie Boba in the photo. It came and the boba was undercooked, which honestly I wouldn't have minded given that i did order it 23 minutes before closing, but the drink was somehow worse. The milk or whatever dairy they put in it tasted sour and spoiled. I asked other people to try and give their opinion, and we all agreed that the milk had most likely been spoiled. It's either that or you guys have to improve the taro recipe because there was something sour and unpleasant in it. Willing to give this place another chance and change my review though.

Had a great experience here. The kitchen was bustling, and the main worker (possibly owner?) was working her butt off. She served our food and was very kind. I really enjoyed the dumplings, both the xiao long bao and the pan friend were tasty and my favorites of all the dishes. The dry string bean and orange chicken were very good as well. The inside was very clean and felt comfortable. No complaints here! Looking forward to returning when I'm in the area again :)

C5. Shrimp Potstickers (8pcs).
Laura S.

We haven't been here in a while and Min's is as delicious as ever! Being creatures of habit, we ordered the shrimp potstickers. There are eight to an order. How Min's differs from everywhere else I've ever been, each potsticker contains a full shrimp. Most places give you minced shrimp and, half the time, you can't find it. Because Min's uses whole shrimp, it insures you get shrimp in every potsticker bite. Min's has a sauce bar, which is exactly what it sounds like. There's vinegar, soy sauce, chili oil, Sriracha, and little containers in which to mix. You are the Boss! Use as much sauce and mix it as you wish. They have various soup dumplings, appetizers, potstickers, many entrées and other offerings. Everyone can find something. If you can't, you're not trying! The restaurant is clean and bright. There are tables inside plus a small covered patio area outside.. We are so glad we had the opportunity to have lunch in San Clemente. Always Min's Dumplings!

so yummy! Staff was very accommodating and friendly, food came out fast and amazing. Would definitely come again!! (*´`*)

To start the Service was amazing, I was greeted and seated with a warm welcome smile. Let's talk about Chinese Cuisine; they offer a great variety in their menu from cucumber salad, egg rolls, classic dumplings in different protein options such as pork, chicken, shrimp. My personal favorite is their pork wonton with chili sauce. They also have things like orange chicken, Mongolian beef and sweet piggy buns as main entrees and specialty drinks! Last time I was here I got the mango burst smoothie and this time w got the bursting berry mango boba chiller :) Everything disappeared on my plate! This place is a must try! This is a place where you can unwind for a bit and get authentic Chinese food with the ambiance is calm and peaceful. Every thing is clean and organized. I am impressed with Helen, she cook, takes orders, greets and seats customers, answers phone orders and has an amazing personality, full of joy and enthusiasm for the food she loves to cook. I am grateful to have found this gem!

Everything was amazing! Food is absolutely delicious and perfect! The service was 10/10 she was so nice and friendly and literally gave my son and I water right away as we were ordering, the wait was very swift and overall great environment. Absolutely going back. I ordered the veggie fried rice & added chicken & then also got the cream cheese rangoon's and omgggg sooooo goooooooood! Some OF THE BEST FRIED RICE IVE EVER EATEN. 10/10 also the restaurant was impeccable.!

Tasty Pork Wonton with Chili Sauce

One of the joys about eating small plates of food is how much time and attention it brings into a satisfying meal. Definitely at Min's Dumplings is one spot for mouthwatering dumplings! The Classic Pork Soup Dumplings came hot and flavorful. The Steamed Vegan Dumplings were prepared just the right texture stuffed with abundant fresh ingredients. And last but not least the Pork Wonton with Chili Sauce shouldn't be missed! Delectable wontons in a delicate chili sauce. The menu has many items to be enjoyed too besides dumplings. Service was warm and friendly. Will definitely come back again!

fried sesame balls - filled with red bean paste

Three letters. WOW. And no, not for World of Warcraft. What a hidden find, ESPECIALLY in San Clemente, you gotta drive to Irvine or Pasadena or even El Monte for this and now we finally have one here! Did I do my happy dance? Yes! Even though they were sold out of pork xiaolongbao, which is giving me another reason to come back. As you can see the pictures that is attached to this review, a must get is the pork and shrimp shu mai, the fried shrimp wrapped in potatoes strains, the fried mini buns with condensed milk and the fried sesame balls. The pork potstickers were alright, nothing to claim about. But everything else was amazing, can't find that around here unless ya'll come to my house LOL please don't, go here. Services was great, basically you head in to order with the cashier or the kiosk, dine in or take out but always ask if they have pork xiaolong bao, they sold out today and we got here at 1pm. If you're placing the order with the cashier or the kiosk, if you purchase a soda or teas, there is a fridge near by along the right side of the wall where you grab it after your purchase. Across is a station on where you can get some water, extra utensils and sauces. The have the hot chinese mustard, chili oil and soy sauce. I'm definitely going to bring my garlic chili oil next time since their chili oil isn't spicy at all. So my next visit, I'm calling ahead to make sure they have them in stock and head back. Place is small but cozy, great for profession yapper is what my bestie and I were doing and worth coming, the staff were friendly and got our food in a timely manners. Just come early, tables get filled up quickly. The four dishes I got where dim sum dishes (You can find them in Chinese Dim Sum places, like Seafood Cove #2,, The Dim Sum Co. in Orange Country, & Jing Fong Restaurant NYC, Chinatown, just to name a few) which are Pork & Shrimp shu mai and the potatoes strains wrapped around shrimp, fried seasame balls and fried mini buns (Which are rare to find in restaurants these days). The place is next to a french pastries shop, which you have to go and get some pastries after if you still have some room. I know parking can be stressful but my best friend found a good spot in the neighborhood, keep in mind we came here on a Sunday afternoon when the farmer's market was dying down. Min's Dumpling is a small restaurant, it has a patio seating area and on Del Mar, prime real estate since the beach and the pier is nearby.

Price- pretty reasonable and got reward points for discount on future meals!

Great service, welcoming and fast in getting food out with only one cook in the kitchen! Clean restaurant! Food is good. I wouid go back there for their dumplings.

Xiao long bao
Chelsea A.

The staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. I love the location and I'm always happy to see more Asian joints. However, it was very expensive especially if you're eating by yourself. I'm glad there was a 20% soft opening discount... but still. I ordered the pork XLB and chicken potstickers. I thought the potstickers would be more deep fried, which is why I ordered that and the soup dumplings for a contrast in texture. However, it was almost the same. Food is good and it will do if you're craving for dimsum. However, I wish they had more affordable options or combo meals for single diners like me.

Such is the cycle of life. I'll never forget the disappointment I'd felt when my family first tried the food under the new ownership. A grimace of sheer horror akin to a child finding out Santa isn't real. This restaurant was everything I could've ever asked for and more. Shane, if you are reading this, I wanted to thank you for contributing to so many happy memories in my life. Thank you for watching me grow up into the man I am today. I hope you enjoyed owning the restaurant just as much as I enjoyed going. Just as much as all of your loyal patrons did. Maybe in another life I'll be too short to reach the counter and ask you to fish out a purple jelly bean for me. Maybe I'll get to have my dad hold me up to the fish tank so I can find Nemo swimming around. Until then, I hope you read this and come to the realization of how many people's lives you've touched; myself included. Thank you for everything Shane, I'll never forget the expression of joy on your face when we'd walk in.

The sesame chicken was what I finally decided on, and it was so good! Slightly fried and perfectly sauced! I added a side of the pork fried rice and it was phenomenal! And at the end of the meal, you get a complimentary mini cup of Matcha ice cream to go with your fortune cookie. I really loved this place, and can't wait to go back to try everything else!

Some of my favorites have been every dumpling, egg rolls, the scallops, the filet mignon chow fun, and the pork fried rice. Meat is always tender. The Eggplant tasted like they had emptied an entire salt shaker into it and was inedible. Our server, for lack of a better word, Isabel, was extremely rude and inattentive the entire time. Isabel thought it would be a good idea to focus on the other tables while basically ignoring ours. The worst part was at the end of the meal after I had requested she take the charge off the bill for the horrible food. Isabel begrudgingly agreed to take it off with not as much as any type of apology. It then took her probably 10 minutes to return after gleefully chatting with other tables and walking by us maybe 4-5 times without making eye contact. Once Isabel produced her handheld POS terminal and asked me how I would be paying, I called her out on the lack of courtesy and basic manners. I asked her if she'd be apologizing for the lousy food and she literally said "No, it's not my fault." All the time she had this maniacal grin on her face that was not only out of place but a little on the psychotic side. Isabel kept glaring at me every time she walked by as if to say I don't owe you a thing and there's nothing you can do about it. After speaking with the manager (Shu) I understand how Isabel has this attitude. He was oblivious to the lack of decency and common sense displayed. He just kept repeating the fact that they had removed it from the bill without the least bit of remorse. All this time I was speaking with Shu, Isabel kept walking around with this crazed grin on her face to hear what we were discussing. I've honestly never experienced any server like her in my entire life. The best Shu could do was to tell me the next time I came in they'd seat me with another server. The next time? This speaks to the oblivious nature of the employees at China Moon. He actually thought that after that, I would be returning. Isabel was the weirdest server I've literally ever had in my life and it was clear at the end that Shu didn't have a clue about customer service or the dining experience. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like garbage by people that don't have any clue what service is.
