This is an update since my last updated review was back in 2019 when I was working nearby like one building over and now i'm a bit far away. Stop by next door to get my nails done for a wedding and decided I had some time to kill before my next meeting so I stop by. Keep in mind this was after the lunch rush so plenty of seating and no wait time i got in around 2;53pm and was pretty happy to be seated right away. I was hungry and I missed eating here, prices were still affordable and delicious. My meal came out to be less than $25 and yes, that is with tip. I ordered an appetizer of Shrimp and Vegetable tempura, coke and a shrimp & veggies tempura udon. Perfect combo on a gloomy day, and honestly, I need to head here more often. Always a great experience here. The sushi is fresh and delicious. Reasonably priced. Friendly fast service although during peak times please be patient because they are working very hard to take care of everybody. Plenty of parking out front but can get busy during medical business hours since there's a lot of businesses in the parking lot. The Crunchyroll and the tuna sushi was fantastic. I am updating my review because this has become my go-to absolute favorite sushi spot!! Everyone is so nice here, from the servers to the chefs. It's soo busy during dinner time, which I am very happy to see because I want this place to thrive, but the customer turnover rate is quick enough that the wait isn't terrible. I recommend the Sushi and Sashimi dinner and a Baked Scallop. The best dinner combo and very reasonably priced. Try it!! read more

This is a nice little sushi spot in San Juan Capistrano with a decent amount of parking out front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is a mom and pop vibe with some decorations like a few pieces of art and a large surfboard hanging on the back wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The spicy tuna cut roll was a notch spicier than I expected with a just a tad too much of a siracha taste but I still ate it all up and enjoyed my food a lot, especially paired with other rolls to counterbalance. The salmon and yellowtail were absolutely delicious and the fish really shined in those cut rolls! Prices were also very reasonable and I feel like I got to try a lot because the sizes weren't too big and the price point made it easy to get multiple rolls. Edamame was also a nice addition to the meal and definitely didn't break the bank. I'm always so happy when I feel like I can really get to know a sushi menu on my first visit, and then come back for more when I'm certain the quality is good. This place has straightforward sushi that will hit the craving just right. My group of 3 came around 6pm and waited close to 25 minutes for a table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It does feel a little cramped inside but they do their best to accommodate as many diners as they can.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The two servers were running around and being efficient and attentive as possible which I recognized and appreciated. Looking at the menu, they have a variety of sushi rolls and other non-fish options such as udon and teriyaki plates. Also, I felt like I was transported to pre-2010 days with the prices. Never seen a menu with prices under $15 for everything and $3.50 for a handroll? It's no wonder why this place is poppin. To be honest, while the fish quality is not stellar, it still tastes good and flavors are satisfying. Plus considering the price, you can't expect to have 5 star cuts. I would recommend the tataki special roll (spicy tuna with seared cajun tuna on top) and the baked salmon roll (CA roll with baked salmon eel sauce on top), these two were my favs. I would recommend! read more

I tried Full Moon Sushi for the first time and WOW... I'm obsessed. I ordered two spicy tuna rolls and they were absolutely amazing -- super fresh, perfect texture, and honestly some of the best I've had in SoCal. The seafood tasted incredibly clean and fresh, and even the salad (which didn't look like anything special at first) ended up being freaking amazing. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and has such a calming vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service could be a little more organized, but the food completely made up for it. Full Moon has been and continues to be a fave. Pricing is always lower than everywhere else. This translates to a smaller selection of offerings but that it allows for consistency across the menu. The food is always excellent with service from Yugi that was, as always, outstanding, even when slammed like last night. Ok I absolutely love this place!!! I got a sushi sashimi combo and it was delicious, the fish-especially the salmon was super fresh. My combo came with miso soup, salad and a small bowl of rice. The salad dressing was tasty and included sliced cucumbers, and the miso soup was so good that I had to order another one XD the service was a tad bit slow-but we went right at lunch time, the waiters were super nice read more

This is only our second visit here . We were very pleased with what we ordered . The tempura is done perfectly in our opinion. The miso soup is delicious. The rolls we had were delicious as well . The cost of the meals is surprisingly affordable. We only did takeout so I can't comment on the service , but the employees we encountered were very nice and polite. Don't really wanna blow up my local hole in the wall sushi spot but they deserve credit where credit is due.
