    Peach cobbler crepe
    Michaela S.

Loved the peach cobbler crepe with a peach cobbler cider. It hit the spot for the perfect fall vibes. Enjoyed some smores outside with a fire, but the graham crackers were super soggy. But they were free! Lots of seating and space, even on a Friday night. Love this place!

Came here to attend the Twin Cities Pitch-A-Friend event and was star struck by the facility. Massive building with so much to offer! They obviously specialize in cider drinks (which I'm personally not a huge fan of) but I was impressed with the two drinks I had. They serve food too, but didn't get a chance to explore that. What makes this place special is that you can play pickleball (with a paid reservation), they have ping pong tables, board games, and an amazing event space for social gatherings

We came for the pickleball and stayed for the cider bar, and it was a lovely time. This is a spacious brewery bar with lots of seating (indoors and out), some areas selling merch, take-home drinks, and THC products, and four indoor pickleball courts. We had a great time playing on the courts, and really enjoyed the bar experience. They have sweet and savory crepes, and I ordered one of each and they were really good! The savory crepe I chose was a Reuben which was very flavorful, and used a unique buckwheat flour for the crepe that was cool. My dessert one had bananas and salted caramel and I loved that. I asked for "light coconut" on it, and the cook, who I learned is the owner, served it to me and sincerely asked if that coconut amount was what I had in mind (it was). Super nice people there; very friendly neighborhood vibes. It is a pricier rate for the courts than others we've used but we still like it and will probably be back to play. Oh, and the cider! It's good! I got the N/A cider which truly distinguishes itself from just something store-bought. It didn't compensate for the lack of alcohol with cheap tartness. I liked it. And my friends LOVED the Blueberry Borealis hard cider, and it looks like they have multiple truly intriguing options. I really like this place!

This is such a cool space! I stopped in for an event and I'd never been here before but they have a cool back room and pickleball courts. Lots of different types of seating and outdoor space. I got a thc seltzer and the bread basket, both were delicious. The herb butter with the bread was so good and there are some other things on the menu I would like to try!

Great cider, fun crepes, huge seating area, outside patio, plenty of parking (go around back)! I enjoyed the cider flights with recommendations from the bartenders! A great place for a casual hang or a larger party! Looking forward to visiting again in the summer to take advantage of the outdoors space.

Went to play pickleball and have a cider. Blueberry was the crowd favorite with our group. We rented our paddles, they provided balls. Since we're new to this, we really liked that it was a single court so we didn't have to worry about hitting into a different court. The space is light and bright, plenty of seating options. Had a cocktail (old fashion and a berry something) for the road, they were fine.

Club sandwich ($15). Turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a baguette, with side salad and kettle chips.

Minneapolis Cider never doesn't knock it absolutely out of the park. Their ciders are delicious (I've been praying they'll bring back the Winter Chai Spiced Cider this winter...) and, in a way that is perhaps unusual for a taproom, their food is independently REALLY FREAKING GOOD. Like, most taprooms will have palatable food that's small-portioned and overpriced just to give you something to nosh on while you drink, but the Minneapolis Cider's kitchen (operated by Breizh Kitchen) actually makes some of my favorite stuff in the cities. I love their savory crepes (my favorite is the smoked salmon), but they also recently added sandwiches to the menu! I tried the club sandwich ($15) tonight--I was cautioned by the bartender that it was big, and naively thought, "sure, 'big' by bar food standards," but he was not lying! The club comes on 2/3 of a baguette and truly is a full meal, coming with kettle chips and a side salad. (Side note: I love the side salad here because it's just greens with a simple but INCREDIBLE balsamic dressing--full balsamic flavor without the acid of the vinegar OR the sicky sweetness of a balsamic glaze! I don't know how they do it!!) The sandwich, while containing all of the same basic ingredients I get on my sandwiches at chain sub places, is totally a cut above--the veggies are fresh, the bread is crisp, and the meats just feel soooo different from anything you'd get at an average sandwich shop. HOWEVER, for as much as I loved that sandwich, THE highlight of the evening for me was the crepe cake slice ($10). I managed to snag the last piece left tonight, and actively had people asking me where I got it from too, because of how amazing it looked. When it came out, I thought to myself that it was the most beautiful things I'd ever seen, and when I took a bite, I thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever tasted. The crepes are thin and coated with the whipped mascarpone without being soggy, and you can just tell that whipped filling is homemade. It's rich without being overpowering or too sweet, which gives the raspberry coulis time to shine. Oh goodness, am I going to be thinking about this cake for weeks. Even if you don't drink, there are plenty of great options to sip on, too. They stock Trail Magic THC seltzers and also have a couple of mocktails--but I always go with a glass of apple juice ($3)! I'm an apple juice fiend and would truthfully pay for it anywhere, but you just can't beat the fresh-pressed stuff they have here. Another neat thing about Minneapolis Cider is that while they do use disposable tableware for most of their food (which makes sense since they operate an independent kitchen), it's all compostable! That's always been something I've noted here that I really appreciate. It's a fun vibe for young hip folks--I tend to notice a lot of college kids when I'm there during the school year. The pickleball courts are a fun time, if that's your thing, and they've also got board games, ping pong, and on Tuesdays, trivia! Anyway, TL;DR, come here, hang out, get a slice of crepe cake. Too freaking good!!

Simple name! Wonderful place. This is an old steel factory converted into an inviting and open space environment. Loved the selection of ciders. Wasn't planning on eating there. I decided to get their crêpe This one was the turkey kind of Reuben. This was surprisingly good, not used to adding these type of things to crêpes, but this really turned up the creativity. There is a pickle court attached. I was hoping to have some TVs up behind the bar might be a good addition and draw some other customers. There is a seating area for outside. There was plenty of parking when we got there, not sure during rush-hour.

Love this place and wish I had more time to stay and chill. It's a huge place with plenty of seating, very hipster, and super random with pickle ball courts. They didn't have a ton of options for ciders but what they did have was really good! I liked how it didn't taste super hoppy and it was more like bubbly juice. Overall a great place to chill and grab a drink.

Loved this establishment. My wife stumbled upon it and wanted us to go. Very friendly staff with a very chill, laid-back atmosphere. Pricing for products is great. They had food, which we didn't get since we were already stuffed. I certainly recommend them and would love to come back if we ever return to Minneapolis

Tried MCC for the first time and it was great! Their strawberry lemonade was my favorite of the ciders. There is a small parking lot. I love the space and staff we great. Have to check out pickleball next!

    Anna H.

Wow this place is huge! I love how they have free parking on site and there's additional parking in the back. I tried the dockside cider and kombucha and both were very good! They have two indoor pickleball courts and I believe a little patio in the front/back with seating as well. You can bring your own pickleball paddles or rent them. Such a fun space for both large and small groups!

The space itself is beautiful with a really cozy ambiance, and the patio is a great option when the weather is nice. The drinks are absolutely the star of the show. You can tell there is so much intention behind both the flavors and the presentation. The cocktail menu is super creative, and the Old Fashioned menu alone is phenomenal with so many unique options. The Beorn Old Fashioned was my favorite. We also tried the Payanello (pineapple, lime, ginger, pickled jalapeño) and it was incredible. Food was fantastic as well. The brussels sprouts were so good and a must order. Service was amazing. Our server was so kind, helpful, and gave great recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. It is on the pricier side, especially for drinks, but honestly worth it for the quality and experience. Reservations are easy to make and I would definitely recommend booking ahead. Parking was manageable when we went, but I could see it getting tricky during busier times. Overall, such a beautiful, thoughtfully done space with incredible drinks, great food, and top tier service. A perfect spot for a night out or just grabbing a cocktail and soaking in the vibe.

It's a really cozy moody interior, with *no big lights* aka great low lighting and comfy seating options. When we went, there were just a few other parties there so pretty quiet. But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.

The restaurant does get busy at dinner, so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. They have many unique options for cocktails and mocktails. I opted for the Slaychel which is a non-alcoholic beverage that I think of as an elevated mimosa. It is fruity, slightly tart, and delicious! The service was great! Our water was frequently refilled and never got empty, and our server asked about any allergies and dietary restrictions before we ordered. They were able to modify menu items to fit the different dietary restrictions! Two people in our party (including myself) are vegetarians and one member is gluten-free and also doesn't consume much dairy or eggs. They were able to serve the patatas bravas with the egg on the side and the grilled asparagus with the egg and cheese on the side so we were able to all share the starters. The patatas bravas were wonderful! The potatoes are perfectly crispy but still fluffy. The tomato sauce was slightly smokey and had a very slight kick (think Minnesota spice) and it balanced out well with the creamy tomato. If you're only going to try one appetizer, this is the one to try! The asparagus was also nice. The salsa verde had a slight kick (a bit more than the tomato sauce from the patatas bravas, but not super spicy. Still Minnesota level of spice). The shallots also added a nice crispy texture to the dish! The egg really stood out in this dish, with its runny yolk and batter coating. There were a lot of nice elements and textures. As for pastas, I split the Spaghetti and Radiatore with a friend. The Radiatore was nutty and tangy, and the serving size was generous. I enjoyed it, but I would order the Spaghetti over it any day! I don't even know how to describe the Spaghetti and do it justice. It was creamy, cheesy, delicious. Our server said it was a staff favorite, and I understand why. If you're looking for a vegetarian option, go with this one!! Even if you aren't a vegetarian, give it a try. It's so classic, and it's done so well. For dessert: they give free churros when you're dining in! They are served warm with a chocolate drizzle. We also ordered the Honey Cake which we enjoyed a lot! The cake itself was light, like a mousse. There was some crunch from the hazelnut praline and honeycomb toffee pieces. It was nutty and sweet but not overly sweet. It was a perfect way to finish off the meal! Estelle was delicious and the service was great! I can't wait to come back!

THE FOOD Pierogis - 5/5 so pillowy Doused in a butter sauce, delicious potato goodness. A little steep for $19 for 4 pieces, but definitely a highlight of the night. Silesian pierogis - 5/5 the Parmesan leek sauce was a great compliment to the almost mochi, textured potato dumplings. Definitely different than the normal pierogies, but in my opinion, the sauce really stood out for this dish and was well balanced with the pickled cabbage. Pork dish 4/5 - the pork was cooked PERFECTLY, nice char on the outside with a juicy inside, not dry by any means. The sauerkraut plus the mustard sauce was a perfect bite. However, I do feel the mustard sauce is quite overpowering at times so if you don't like mustard do not get this. It does look like a large portion, but I did eat all of it with a little bit of help. I do wish there was some sort of starch on the plate, but better portioning the most pork chops restaurants that I have had. Flat iron steak 3/5 - I was most looking forward to this one after seeing it on Instagram however, the dish somewhat fell short for $40. The steak was cooked beautifully, and the potato pavee was exciting since this is quite rare where to find in the Twin Cities restaurant scene. There was not much sauce on this dish. The small bit of sauce provided, being quite buttery and did not add much to the flavor. The potato pavees were very crispy and a nice inside texture but for me a little bit oversalted, but there was just nowhere to go in the dish for sauce/punchy flavor. I wish there was an aioli/chimichurri to go with the potato pavee and some other type of seasoning like a Mexican seasoning on the potatoes. It's seems the entrees were not very vegetable forward however I feel like for $40 the pork and the steak could have used maybe a few pieces of brussels sprouts or asparagus to balance out their richness. Overall, a very lovely experience. I feel like anything on their menu is worth a try. The waitress mentioned that they do have rotating seasonal items. You won't be disappointed!
