It took me a while to get this to Shawn/Mini Storage of Wheels as it's been on my mind since the container left our driveway and our move is done. Prior to our move we had to use mini storage to hold our most important items off site while we redo our kitchen and living room prior to our big move. Let me tell you, Shawn was amazing from start to finish.... worked with us on a price and it was MUCH cheaper than PODS and other vendors in the Bay Area. Shawn gives that extra touch and he's local. We sold our home in Petaluma much quicker than anticipated and had to find a storage solution for all of our belongings while we searched for our new home. I did A LOT of research into the various big name pod companies (PODS, Uhaul, etc). All of them had horrible reviews and many of the customers had their belongings completely ruined! I don't even know how, but I (thankfully) stumbled upon Mini Storage On Wheels on Yelp. The reviews were glowing but there weren't many. I decided to take a gamble anyways because I like supporting small local businesses whenever I can and typically they are better than the large businesses anyways. I called the 888 number listed and I was shocked when Shawn, the owner, picked up. Shawn was very nice and helpful. I booked a pod right then and there. Delivery of the pod was a breeze and efficient. The pod itself was immaculate. It looked very well maintained (I later found out it was brand new), had ventilation, appeared to prevent water from intruding, and appeared to be secure from rodents. We packed the pod ahead of schedule and I called Shawn to let him know that it was available earlier than planned. He immediately came to pick up the pod. I was blown away. Fast forward to finding our new home in Novato; I called Shawn last minute and asked if it was possible for the pod to deliver in three days (lack of planning on my part). We found a date that worked for both of us and it ended up working better than the date I had initially planned. The delivery again was a breeze (even on a super steep driveway). All of our furniture and belongings were in the same condition as when they were put in. Shawn even picked up the same day once it was empty! After it was all said and done, we had inadvertently overpaid one month (my husband paid by check and did not realize I had already paid by card). The billing lady (I can't remember her name) called and let us know we overpaid one month and used that payment towards the delivery and pickup of the pod to make everything even out. I hope this review clearly expresses how positive my experience was with Mini Storage on Wheels. I would definitely use them again if I ever have a storage need and I would use them over ANY other storage company. Not only are their prices extremely fair, but their customer service is amazing! Yes, as good as it gets ... or better! Shawn delivers. He shows up when he says he will, can back those pods up into even the smallest of places and is very accommodating. He even directed me to some amazing movers who could put everything in my house into the pods in a jigsaw like manner. Although I was in the middle of a nightmare move, Shawn made it so much better. Shawn the owner worked his butt off to help the tenants of Napa Self Storage retrieve our belongs from the building that got damaged in the 2014 earthquake. Shawn brought his mobile storage units onsite, had his crew unload our storage units, and then loaded up the mobile storage and in my case he delivered the storage unit to my driveway at my home. All of my belongings were intact and I was amazed at how well the crew packed the storage unit. I cannot say enough good things about Mini-Storage on Wheels!
