Both were in Capitola, CA. The unit rented at 297.00 plus 15.00 insurance. The 2nd mo. it went up above 300 something, I'm not sure because my Daughter pd it also. The next month I paid it and it 406.00mo. the amount stayed there for 2 more months. That's when I looked into other storage places. I found one 2'x3' larger for 188.00. I went to let Star know I was planning on moving by the end of the month since I'm on a fixed income. The office personnel asked why if that was my only reason for leaving, which at that time it was. She said since I was an elder and took the contract over that she could call and get it reduced if I would stay. So I did. The next month it went down to the original rent. However before the next payment was due I got an email notifying me the rent would being going up. I paid 412.00 after a 43.00 dollar discount for being a senior. So now I'm going to have to find another unit that I can afford. Also the unit is open till nine or so pm but there is no electrical outlet in or near so I can't see after it gets past dusk. Also the only restroom on the property is in their main office. So if it wasn't open I had to put everything I had been putting outside the unit back in and leave to go use another restroom. By then when your working alone it doesn't even cross your mind to go back and start over!
