Great restaurant in the worst part of the worst city in all of Orange County but the food is amazing

Mine Eathai is a delicious Thai restaurant that is an absolute must-try. I've been on a yellow curry kick lately and have tried nearly every Thai restaurant in the area and this is hands down the best one I've had. They give you a very large portion so you can have leftovers which is ALWAYS a plus in my books! Something to be mindful of, they DO NOT accept cards for purchases under $15. There's an ATM at the liquor store next door so not a huge issue if you're in a pinch. The cashier ended up giving me a free Thai tea as an apology for the cash inconvenience and it was such a wonderful gesture. You can tell it's a family-owned business that has a passion for their customers so please do yourself a favor and check it out and show your support! Out with the old Thai place in with the new Thai place. Super busy on a Sunday night in a plaza with zero parking. I have been to this lot many times over the years and this is the first time I've had a problem. I have also never been here once it gets dark. The area has a lot of wanderers. It's between a liquor store and a laundry mat right where Stanton and Cypress intertwine. Don't let the area steer you away. Let me warn you. You don't come here for service. The poor counter guy had his hands full with phone orders, walk in to go orders and a completely full restaurant. There are only 7 tables. 4 tables for 4 and 3 tables for 3. Each of which was taken. Once everyone left he regained his smile and got back into his groove The menu here offers what you'd expect in Thai. Lots of curries, bbq chicken, stir fries fried rice, noodle dishes, etc. Main dishes do not come with rice. Luckily my rice cooker is usually on. The all day $7.95 meals are a steal with choice of main dish, rice, salad and pot stickers. Spicy Thai basil chicken was spicy. A mixture of veggies and chicken in a spicy basil and garlic sauce. It really cleared my sinus problem. My only issue, not enough meat. If your looking for meat stick with BBQ chicken or orange chicken. The dish of the night was the Pad Thai with chicken that was made to order with no sprouts. Super generous portion. Very good. They have a check in offer for a free iced Thai Tea. It was super good. (5 eater, total $76) Liked: all items were delicious. A very polite lady served us food. She gave us complimentary spring roll. The price is reasonable. Could be better: interior seating. Need to improve: No restroom for customers. Loud music from nearby bar didn't feel good. No child seat. Very good food authentic in orange county you don't have to drive all the way to Hollywood to get authentic Thai food this is one of the best location. food Are made to order and the taste is very very delicious this is definitely a keeper. Rotten, sour, rancid mango stick rice. 3rd time now. I don't usually complain, but it was disgusting. Owner gave me a hard time when I called. Only wanted to replace one of the two orders. Acted like he was doing me a favor. He wanted me to pay for other food, in order to replace 1 of the mango sticky rice orders. When I obviously didn't like the sound of that, he started to backtrack, but who wants to convince a business owner of a bad order of food? My wife and I come here often, usually ordering $40-$60 of food, sometimes $20, but unfortunately this is a continuous problem. (This isn't including the panang curry that was separated, coagulated, and tasted a couple days old and flavorless.) read more

The woman chef at this place is legendary. They have some of the most delicious Thai dishes I've tried in the last 20 years I've been eating Thai food. Ordered through Uber. Called restaurant prior and post order to insure request of oil free mixed vegetables would be honored. Also mentioned that we are vegetarians. Pumpkin curry had flavor of overpowering shrimp paste, and the mixed vegetables indeed had oil. Very disappointing experience and a waste of $$! read more

Delicious food. Tried the spicy fried rice, spicy beef salad, Thai fried rice, and mango sticky rice. All very good. Salad had great flavors but would've been nice to have more lettuce to soak the juices. My fav was the spicy fried rice. Great portion and fresh ingredients. read more

Delicious and flavorful. Went for the first time today and did a pick up order. Crab fried rice is the bomb. One of the best I've ever had. Seriously full of flavor and large pieces of crab. Portions are big and service was fast and efficient. I can't wait to go back and try everything. Don't let the parking lot deter you from coming. Not the best area but really proves you can't judge a book by its cover. I don't always write reviews but feel compelled when the food is this amazing read more

Got take out and the food was very good! 10/10 recommend the crying tiger steak!!! As for the mixed veggies, the veggies were very fresh and delicious, but we added crispy pork and because of the steam, it wasn't crispy. The service was also very nice and vibe of the restaurant was chill and peaceful. One thing to note is if you want condiments, let them know how many you want because I asked for some chili sauce and they gave me one :/ , with two sauce packets. read more

It's in a small spot and wouldn't think of going just driving by, but since I live so close and love Thai food I decided to stop by. Think you can say this is my favorite Thai restaurant. We moved to Buena Park in March (right before the shut down). We tried a few different Thai places in the area and this is by far our favorite one. We usually order: 1. Pad see ew beef 2. Panang beef (medium spice) 3. Yellow curry all day special (comes with rice and dumplings) 4. Chicken larb 5. Crab fried rice The pad see ew is my favorite. We asked for mild and it had a little bit of a kick still. But delicious. We ordered the panang beef medium spice and it's definitely spicy. We aren't disappointed by anything we ordered here. Contact free pickup! Not to mention the staff has always been very nice. Plus every once and a while I get something free with my order which I very much appreciate considering they could easily not do that. It always surprises me when it happens but it's a surprise I welcome! They have a decent pricing that's 100% worth it for me personally. Hands down!! My new favorite Thai food spot! The food was so delicious i wanted 2nds even though i was super stuffed. The staff was friendly and the food ordering and handling was efficient and moderate. I ordered the Drunken noodles (+basil) with shirmp, Egg rice ($4) and Glass noodles with seafood. Only concern was that the food seemed less in portion than most thai food place and was a dollar or two more expensive too. It is a family owned restaurant so I understand why it may not be all cheap, but it tasted delicious read more

Mine Eathai was the most conveniently located Thai place with the highest ratings, so we chose to pickup potstickers, Pad See Ew and yellow curry from here. It's toward the corner of the mini mall almost hidden by a giant white tent from the store next door. Its cute and small and clean. The lady who gave us our food was sweet and also gave us a free Thai iced tea for checking in. Thai iced teas always taste better free the potstickers, pad see ew and yellow curry were delicious. We don't normally order potstickers from a Thai place but they were crispy and delicious and came with sweet and sour sauce. The yellow curry doesn't come with rice, but you can order some on the side. It's not smooth and thick curry but rather thin and looks grainy but it doesn't have a grainy texture and it goes over rice just the same as other curries. The no-spice level still has a mild kick so if you can't do spicy but still like a kick, get no-spice and not mild because it's just enough. No-spice yellow curry could be thinner than spicy because they might add more coconut milk. Has the right amount of carrots and potatoes and onions and chicken. Definitely would come back read more

First time going to this place we went in kinda late 1hr till closing time. Usually I hate going to a place when it's close to closing time due to my fear of getting whatever food lol. But the ladies were so nice they took their time to explain some of the dishes. I ordered the mine fried rice with a medium spice level, If you are like me and love spicy food then I would suggest getting the highest spice they have because medium spice level wasn't even spicy at all to me personally. But nonetheless the food was bussin bussin I also got the crying tiger it was aright tbh. My sister got the seafood fried rice and bbq pork ribs she loved her food. My boyfriend and I come here all the time and the sweet lady in the front remembers us and our order no matter how long it's been- one week or 3 months, we're always greeted with so much kindness. The chef also goes out of her way to welcome us and thank us for our patronage with free goodies. My go to order is the yellow curry all day special with crispy pork. So much good food at a great price. 10/10 We've also had their spring rolls and chicken satay. Easy 10/10. Their peanut sauce is next level good. Thai tea 10/10.
