Decent food..... Stopped on way to Davenport. When you enter you order at the registers then sit down (we were confused at first).... You get a good amount of food for the price. Some food was good, some was average. My husband and I got a BBQ sampler, soup, and a steak sandwich to share. Their BBQ sauce is pretty good, but a little too much was put on the sampler. I think the soup was canned and not fresh. The ribs were excellent as well as the steak sandwich. The chicken, pulled pork, and fries were average. I loved the corn bread. In my opinion: I love there ribs. It is so good. I keep coming back here for take out ribs on their rib days special I don't tend to eat inside here, even though they have plenty of seating. This is due to a not so professional staff. But what do you expect when you pay minimum wage to high school staff. Go for the sandwiches for a good lunch or dinner food. So good. I took my mom here yesterday, ignoring the "it's okay" reviews. My mom ordered a cheeseburger, and I ordered an Italian sausage sandwich. We both agreed that they were okay, but nothing amazing or even delicious. However, both my mom and I love coleslaw. SAVE YOURSELF!!! Do NOT order the coleslaw. Yuck... The fries are great, though. Crispy and delicious. We probably will not be returning here. I'm sure they offer delicious food, but just not the burger or Italian sausage sandwich, and definitely not the coleslaw. P.S. I stopped by this place on a Saturday night, about 7:00, The place was packed, so I thought the food must be outstanding, and they have a drive up, you can't beat that. So I pull in, even with the big crowd you moved along pretty quickly, it only took a few minutes to order, I got a full slab of ribs, a baked potato, cole slaw, and a piece of french bread, $19.00 and some change. The ribs were OK, not hot, but with so many orders I'm sure they were cooked long before I got there, the potato was hard it needed about ten more minutes of cooking time, the slaw was good, and the bread was, well bread. I believe the best reviews are an average of several repeat visits. I have dined at Mind's on multiple occasions for lunch & dinner. They are consistent in their food & service although one of them is not good. Service is the loser or should I say the customer is the loser here. You can expect sticky tables and some unwashed. The food is decent but a bit overpriced for the area. On my lunch visit today I had a "Grilled Veggie Sandwich ($4.75) that was very good and priced fair. This contradicts with what I said previously but it is a very large menu and not all is overpriced. My co worker had a BBQ pulled Pork with Fries ($5.95). The bun was large but they really skimped on the Pork. He said said the pork was good but just needed more meat & BBQ. Took advantage of a Groupon Now deal. $10 for $6. Ordered the Cajun Salad ($6.95) and a Mindy Jr Burger ($3.95). Both the portions were decent. The burger was in a bun that was way to big though! Everything was packaged up nicely and came out quickly. It all tasted fresh. The fries were pretty yummy. I thought the decor was cute, it was very western-y. Never again will I visit this establishment. My husband, 4 year old daughter, and I ordered and picked up food from here last weekend. Thankfully my daughter didn't want any so we bought her food from somewhere else. I ordered the boneless rib sandwich. It tasted mediocre. It was apparently undercooked because later that evening I became violently ill with vomiting and diarrhea. It was horrible! I don't have a sensitive stomach. Last night we ordered from Mindy's through GrubHub. I ordered a meatball sandwich which I assumed would come with at least a little red sauce on it. GrubHub did not have the option of adding any. The meatballs seemed to be tasty but I couldn't tell. There was so much salt on the sandwich that it burned my mouth. It was inedible, so I threw the entire sandwich away. The salt was in the meatballs as well as on the meatballs. Had there been red sauce, it may have helped at least a tiny bit to hide the onslaught of salt that battered my entire mouth. I took a few bites to be sure and the overdose of salt was consistent. My girlfriend thought I was exaggerating...until she took a bite. Needless to say I am extremely unhappy with Mindy's and none too pleased with GrubHub. To be fair,all I'm saying is that my experience was bad. GrubHub needs to add options to selections and Mindy's needs to throw away the salt shaker. I am dead serious about the amount of salt on my sandwich. Maybe the lid from the salt shaker came off when salt was added to my sandwich. That's a possibility. I'm giving Mindy's the benefit of the doubt. It should have been thrown away and another one made if that was the case. If I do even decide to try Mindy's again, I'll have to go there in person. A meatball sandwich should always have red sauce. I usually get the bbq pig sandwich-truthfully the name rather grosses me out but this time I got the bbq chicken salad, which was not worth the money. There is a fair amount of chicken in it, but it's mostly a ton of iceberg lettuce.At the bottom of my container was a puddle of water which was pretty gross and there are a few cucumbers, some cheese, some red onion but all in all it's really kind of the equivalent of a McDonalds caliber salad for twice the price. And they are so slow here. So after waiting 10 minutes in line, when you get to the window and they ask you to pull over and they'll bring it out to you, is a bit of a head scratcher--not like they're picking the lettuce to put in there. read more

Well, I have eaten at this place many times over the years that it's been here. I really liked the Orland location better. But, it closed, and this one was closer to me anyway. So, let's start with the food. It's average really for a backyard bbq style chain in the Chicago area. Some people really like the ribs, but I think there is better not far away from here personally. The burgers and hot dogs are so-so. The fries are so-so also. The pasta here is surprisingly good though... much better than expected. The service is ok. The prices are... ok. It's similar to the Patio in Orland Hills. You place your order at the counter and take a seat. You get your own drinks. They'll bring your food to you. I don't believe you are expected to leave tip. The reason it only gets one star from me though is about the last time that I went there. Me and my co-worker were ordering and looking at the menu up behind the registers there. I noticed a very large thing moving around on the wall. It was a roach! A big roach! The lady working the drive through noticed it too and didn't do a thing about it. Probably to your discuss, my friend and I still ordered and finished our food there. We survived without getting sick or anything. I ordered the full slab, corn bread, slaw, cold pasta salad and soup. Ribs were very bland, edible but bland. You can tell they were frozen before hand.
