This restaurant is perfect for all those who want to enjoy American bar food, a strong mix drink, or a cold beer. It's a great place to enjoy watching your favorite sport on one of their many televisions, that are strategically placed everywhere for your viewing pleasure. They even have off track betting. We started with an appetizer, the buffalo chicken eggrolls, then 2 burgers for our meal which came with fries. The food was average. The burgers could've been seasoned a little bit more and the fries were over salted. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere. If you're a sports fanatic, this is the place for you.

We stoped in on Valentine's Day for dinner. Suprise! No waiting... Had a decent size crowd there with a lot of constant chatter but we had no problem with it. I ordered the Wednesday special...the $5.00 build your own Burger with Chips or Fries (I opted to upcharge to tator tots) It was hot and jucy with crispy tator tots. My friend had the Smoked BBQ Brisket Bowl... We love coming here and look forward to our next visit!

Met my girlfriend after work for a yummy drink and dinner for the first time and everything was so yummy. We both ordered the frozen margarita with lime and shared their loaded pretzel with cheese and mustard dipping sauce. I had the smokehouse burger with sourdough bread, apple wood bacon, Gouda cheese, garlic aioli and grilled onions with this fried onion string. And I ended the night with Coors light on draft and it was so good! Everything was good. Typical bar atmosphere with some slot machines and service was decent. I would most definitely go again for their other food.

I absolutely love this place. I work right near it and I must say the food and service here are top notch. They have a very balanced menu and I would say 90% of everything on it is delicious. The staff here are extremely friendly which adds another dimension to coming here. On this visit my husband and I split a couple apps. The buffalo shrimp and the cheese curds. They were out of this world. You should definitely treat yourself and stop by.

Good food. Friendly service. A little loud at times. But a good place to gather with friends for drinks and good food. Casual.

The interior is very inviting, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's a versatile space that works well for a romantic dinner, a casual date night, or even an evening out with family. We were promptly greeted by the hostess and seated at a table near the front window. Our server, Naomi, welcomed us right away and immediately made us feel comfortable with her friendly and engaging personality. She brought water to the table, took our drink orders, and returned quickly with our beverages before checking if we were ready to order. After answering a few questions, we decided on the fresh oysters, four-cheese flatbread, and pork belly tacos. The oysters were served first, and Naomi took the time to explain their region and variety, which added a nice touch to the experience. They were fresh, clean, and nicely briny. The four-cheese flatbread was rich and flavorful, made with fresh ingredients that really stood out. We also enjoyed the house-cured pork belly tacos--the meat was tender and well-prepared. I requested the toppings on the side, which was accommodated without issue. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The service, atmosphere, and food all came together nicely, and we'll definitely be returning again soon.

I was left wanting more,…read morebut the food is delicious and the manger came through for us when we were about to walk out disappointed. We wanted something other than just burgers again, so I proposed seafood. There didn't seem to be a lot of options in this area, but Dancing Marlin seemed to fit the bill and was pretty close. Before going, we looked at the menu, and there really wasn't anything my little one was going to want on the kids menu - there was no seafood for the kids, not even a basic fish and chips. He saw the lobster rolls appetizer though, and that sold him, so we got in the car and headed down. When we went to order, the waiter told us the only thing they were out of was the lobster rolls, but when we asked about the lobster gnocchi that my other son was about to order, they said they could do that, so I asked to speak with the manager. She explained that they only liked to use big whole pieces of lobster for the lobster rolls, and that is what they were out of, but had the smaller pieces they normally used in the gnocchi dish. I asked if she could do the lobster rolls with the smaller pieces, and she confirmed with the chef so we were back in business. The food was all excellent. I had the seared ahi and it was delicious, but was just a small portion for my liking. The scallops my wife had were delicious, but for $38 it was only 4 scallops. Maybe kids who live around here don't want fish when their parents do, but you should at least have a kids portion of fish and chips, or some fried shrimp on the menu for them. I'm not going to order a $27 fish and chips portion for a little kid, but he also didn't come to just eat chicken nuggets or buttered noodles.

I had to add salt, pepper and msg to their clam chowder for flavor and the clams were too finely minced. And finally the house special seasoning for their seafood boil could have much more flavor (old bay, lemon juice, more garlic, etc), the potatoes would have been better if sliced in half, sausage had quite a bit of cartilage,, and I had intact shells still on my headless shrimp which was a bit of a pain. but the broccoli was great because it absorbed a lot of the butter sauce.

There are two reasons why I gave this establishment a two star review. I ordered a make your own boil bag. It comes with potato, corn and broccoli. I added head on shrimp, green muscles and sausage. A person in my group ordered the todays special. When the bill came it was over charged. They did rectify it immediately and removed the "today special sign" from the front door as they indicated it was wrong. So unfortunately anyone who came in after us were not able to order that particular special.

My wife had the lobster and filet mignon (medium) - the filet could be cut with a fork. The lobster tail was fresh, cooked perfectly, and outstanding. My Delmonico - a cut that you don't see too often, so I ordered it thinking they must really specialize in it - was over done (I ordered medium rare, it came out medium) and a little tough. Mr. Benny's is an "old school" place - and while restaurants like to claim that quaint charm, it could use some updating. What it really means is they don't want to spend money removing the million faux crystal lights, mirrors, and brass-everything, and change out the dingy carpet. It feels trapped in time, but not the right time; like desperately in need of fresh paint and new carpet 1987, not 1967 when it opened. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Notably, this place is in MOKENA. It would stand on its own and do well in downtown Chicago, and you will not find a better steakhouse in the southwest suburbs. Not Jack Gibbons Gardens, Cut 158 in Joliet is its equal but much nicer inside (albeit pricier), it's similar to Al's in Joliet, and better than Primal Cut in Tinley. I have been several times and plan to return (next time I'll get the lobster too!)

It's just a matter of bourbon vs gin. Both are refreshing cocktails made with honey and lemon. We shared the Spanish octopus to begin, a perfectly grilled octopus tentacle in a romesco sauce topped with pico de gallo and toasted almonds. We thoroughly enjoyed it. A generous portion and so tender. Hubby had the Saturday night special, the smoked prime rib. It came with grilled vegetables and truffle fries. He had this speciality last time. This time it was so fatty (see photo). I had the grouper puttanesca with couscous. I love grouper but I felt it was salty. With capers and anchovy, the fish didn't need salt as these things bring salt to the dish. However, our entrees were generous in size and tasty. We definitely like this restaurant. They have a loyalty program, plenty of seating inside and out, a nice bar area and a Vegas-style gaming room. Phoenix Kitchen even nixed using seed oil at their restaurant.
