Let me begin by saying $8.99. $8.99 OH MY GOSH, $8.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to begin here, as my feelings were DEEPLY HURT, as the cost of a glass of orange juice that was MAYBE 12OZ was $8.99! Why!? Why!? Why!? This was discovered when it was time to pay the bill. I have been to MANY PLACES...MANY places for breakfast fare, and have had LARGER GLASSES of orange juice for less. I could not for the life me figure out how or why this was the price they decided on!!??! Was it freshly juiced orange juice? Sure. Was it enjoyed by my date? Yes. Was that itty bitty glass worth $8.99? NOPE,AND A BIG FAT NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It kinda ruined it for me. Because it didn't sense. *exhaling* I found this cute spot just by googling"pancakes near me". Lol I find fun things this way:) When I tell you it was everything I needed it to be (except for that orange juice price tag-yes, I am still reeling from that and its 10:38pm CST). It was small inside. It was cute. No Instagram frills. It reminded me of the 90's. The music playing was even befitting for a sweet, soft, enjoyable breakfast experience. No one was there when we arrived. Just the workers. Very attentive individuals. Not too big on smiles, but I was there for pancakes. The order: The pancake combo/breakfast came with 2 pancakes, I added fresh strawberries. Eggs cooked soft(2) sausage links(2). I had a cup of coffee with water. My date's order: Cinnamon Apple Pancakes Pancakes (2) eggs(2) and (2)bacon. Oh and that RIDICULOUSLY PRICED ORANGE JUICE.*sigh* *To our surprise, we recieved 3 pieces of breakfast meats apiece * The meal was perfection. It was what my belly and morning soul needed. Fresh, crispy, warm, and simply delightful. Coffee hot. Yes, please keep it coming! Lol I ate it slow. Each bite made me so happy I(again randomly selected a new spot to check out. Well, new to me. I asked how long this establishment has been open, the response, 14 years. 14 years!? And I never knew it was there. In a new plaza.... hmmm.. how did I miss that!? A few more people trinkled in as we ate. The noise level didnt really change. When I say it was so quiet in there. So peaceful. So calm. It was absolutely what my Saturday morning heart needed. Thank you. Though the orange juice price was BANANAS!!!!!! I will return. It was such a good time. Such a calming good time. And as always, you don't have to believe me... Go get you some! read more

Breakfast Nook is a great place for breakfast or Lunch. I have been going there for about 15 years. My whole family has in fact. My Grandson went with us for his 1 week birthday and repeat usually weekly or more since. 14 yrs ! The food is very good and they are very accomodating. They remember us and know the first question my daughter has when we go in is : Is the soup ready? when we go at 6-7 AM and most the time it is! I have never had a bad meal there, its just really good regular food. Although they do have some items I don't eat due to I don't like spicy but my daughter says the mexican omelet is great, and they both love the buffalo chicken wrap. The staff is so nice they chat with us and make sure we don't need anything else. Highly recommend. read more

Love the breakfast nook and food and service are both good. Their cream of chicken soup is the most delicious soup.

My advice are better off eating poisonous McDonald's for breakfast then going to this place, croissant, mozzarella, and bacon for my wife and a Greek toast, bacon and egg sandwich I requested for the hashbrowns to be crispy on both sides and I literally got a sandwich with bread a bacon bit with barely no egg. My wife got the croissant with cheese and bacon with half an egg and the hashbrowns were raw simple instructions and it wasn't even handled properly this place for $36 was a rip off and you got no food. I like the cozy atmosphere, the seating area is small. They have an inexpensive early bird menu that covers the basic morning start. I ordered the 3 cheese omelet. It is loaded with stretchy gooey white and yellow cheese. I think it's self seating, as I waited for a short time with no one at the front desk .When it was time to time to pay there was no one there as well. Just ring the bell. So I'm guessing the waitress was doing double duty. The food is satisfying and the service is pleasant. I would stop in again . read more

French toast smelled like a wet dog. It tasted like the cook used a mildewed rag to clean the stove and then cooked our French toast on top. We made a complaint, but according to the cook we weren't allowed a refund :/ Nonetheless, my hot chocolate was amazing and our waistress was very witty and should take up comedy! read more

Yum yum yum! We were traveling from one destination to another and needed a good breakfast. Found them on yelp so we stopped. I won't lie, we walked in and the place was empty...so I hesitated. We sat down and it was as if we brought the people with us. The food was amazing! I ordered a skillet with a side of pancakes, get the pancakes! My husband had an amazing omelette. Today I experienced something unfortunate because our family has ordered from here every weekend and the food is good but... When paying for my food at the drive up window, I looked into the kitchen to see one of the ladies open my food container, pick a piece of food out and eat it, wearing no mask. She then wrote on the container and packaged it up. The lady working the window who took my payment knew I saw this and went up to her and told her something. I saw her Oh no face and she immediately went outside to her car. The lady handed me my food and I said, next time make sure she keeps her hands out of my food and wears a mask and I drove off. But after thinking about it, with covid etc. that was unacceptable so I came back to the window. The lady who ate my food, greeted me. Picking up? No, I already did and you actually put your fingers in my food and ate a piece before packing it. She claimed she just adjusted the foil but would remake the steak skillet for me if that's how I felt and apologized for not wearing a mask. Um...How did you know it was the steak skillet? I never actually did get breakfast here... But I did have the avocado stuffed with chicken salad. Sliced tomatoes, cottage cheese, and I ordered a side of toast...it was delish. The portion size was HUGE. I had meals for two lunches from this puppy. The avocado was fresh and ripe. The chicken salad was really good. The presentation was great. I was defo impressed. The service was also excellent. My water was replenished regularly, and the server made sure to check on me often. I had intended to go back and try out breakfast, but I didn't get the chance. I have gone here for years and always loved it until today. Our waitress was rude from the beginning. She didn't even introduce herself when we sat down or anything, which is why I can't give you a name of this server. I ordered the same thing I get every time with my eggs over medium to over hard. Though when they came out they were completely runny. Since my waitress was no where to be seen I grabbed the other one, and she said they looked poached so I sent them back. My waitress proceeded to come back and say "those eggs were over medium, do you want them back". My jaw dropped. As someone who works in a restaurant I couldn't l believe she said this to me in such a rude manner. I later find out that the cook is her dad... of course she was "right". I ordered nothing else. I've never seen such an undercooked over hard egg in my life. But the egg wasn't the problem for me... it was the service. Though I did not pay I still left her a tip because I wasn't trying to cause any inconvenience, I just wanted to enjoy my breakfast. But instead all I got was attitude. read more

Wow! The food here is great, and generous helpings! I ordered the veggie skillet with diced potatoes + avocado. It was perfectly cooked, so delicious, and a huge serving. It came with 2 pancakes (or toast). The service here was very good, I was seated and had a glass of water in under a minute! The food is great. But... the reason for the poor rating is the ownership. I work down the street and come in for salads on lunch. I just ordered a salad for $9.99, paid for it on my debit card, and stepped out so they could make it. I came back in and the woman behind the desk told me that the price of the salad listed on the board was incorrect and it is $11.99 and the owner was very strict on the price and wasn't going to let it go. Instead of letting the $2.00 go and fixing the board, they made me go get my debit card again to charge me the difference! Nor did the owner come talk to me. It was very rude.
