We got in before the church crowd. We were seated immediately and the waitress was excellent. She brought us coffee and coke and took our order. I got the Denver omelette and potatoes with pancakes. My wife got the Steak Quesadilla. They were delivered hot. The potatoes were also done like the omelette. With green peppers and onions. The waitress was quick with refills. The restaurant was an old Denny's. Great breakfast. Clean bathroom. Clean restaurant. read more

VERY fast service! Our waitress was SO sweet and FAST (I don't recall her name but she had glasses and an anti-eyebrow piercing). Although it seemed they didn't have much staff they did amazing! The host was also very kind. The food was great and inexpensive, all together we spent around $30 for what is shown and coffee. It was very clean and homely. Highly recommend this place for a quick breakfast on a budget. read more

The best part of my experience was the staff. Granted I ordered carry out, but they were friendly over the phone as well as when I picked my food up. The food was ready when they said it would be and the price was very reasonable. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. This looked like it was originally a Dennys that went out of business. Darker inside: Trying to look homey but ending up looking dingy/ divey. The food was the worst part of the experience. I ordered the lumberjack scramble which read like a farmer's skillet from other restaurants. I.e. with sausage gravy on top. I'm not one for sauces too much but it read well so I thought I'd try it. What a disgusting mess greeted me when I opened the lid. The gravy was darker brown than usual and tiny specs of "sausage " throughout. I tried scraping it off but what was underneath was equally unappealing. It was seemingly 95% potato and egg. I had to struggle to spot a bit of green pepper here and there but as for the onion and the meats? You'd need a magnifying glass to find them. Soggy, probably store bought gravy, tasteless mush. DISAPPOINTED. I feel bad for the wait staff. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Don't every eat at this Restaurant, this was the nastiest breakfast food I have ever Brought, the eggs were watery and slightly brown the hash Browns were burnt and the green peppers was slimy as well as the onions, I think these were leftovers from the day before. I asked for croissant which was slightly burnt and it was stale. I have never in my life seen Breakfast Food like this. Please I'm begging customers not to eat at this Restaurant It will be a list of your money read more

Good place to go for breakfast. I ordered a carry out. Got a typical sampler. Service was good. I recommend going if you are near.

Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and seated. They have a nice menu and when you're hungry, everything looks scrumptious. I had the corn beef hash skillet and hubby had the country skillet. Breakfast was filling. Portions are huge with reasonable prices. read more

Goodmorning YELP community I'm Here at Peachtree Cafe in Matteson IL for breakfast. It's very quiet now and was very quiet throughout my meal! Our food was good! My server Ricky was friendly and cracked a couple jokes! It was very serene and peaceful at this place. I drive down Lincoln Highway all the time and never stopped in. There's plenty of free parking in the front and back of the restaurant. It was good! I definitely recommend. read more

What a pleasant surprise! After picking up pet supplies, we decided to grab a bite here after reading the Yelp reviews. The restaurant is located in what used to be Denny's back in the day. Believe me, the food is nothing like Denny's; it's much better in my opinion. I ordered country potatoes with eggs and blueberry pancakes and a cup of coffee. First, here is what I did not like: the coffee. It was very weak. If you're a true coffee drinker like me, pass on it. You will be disappointed. A good cup of coffee with breakfast is a must- have for me, hence the 4-star review. The good news is the delicious food made up for it! It was like having a homemade country breakfast at a family restaurant. The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxing. I enjoyed the experience and look forward to returning real soon. read more

We were welcomed into the restaurant and our server, Juanita, was very nice and attentive. With the couple of issues we had, she resolved them quickly. I must admit, I am not a huge breakfast person in the first place, but this was pretty good. The portions were very large and no one finished their meal. The pancakes were thick and fluffy and warm-- however, some could've been cooked a little more in the center due to the thickness. The omelettes all came out warm and buttery. Unfortunately, the whole grain toast came covered in a butter that was more like lard. In all, it was definitely breakfast that filled me up. The environment is mostly clean, but the carpet looked a little dirty. I personally think carpet in a restaurant is a no-go. Overall, it seems like a homier IHOP, with slightly better quality. read more

This was a wonderful surprise out here on US 30. We were out shopping across the street at the Pete's Fresh and as we were leaving decided to stop for breakfast somewhere in the neighborhood. Located through YELP, we could barely see this place across the street since it was below the level of US 30. Made our way over there anyway and had a great breakfast. Now I'll be the first to say most breakfasts are pretty much the same ... but the food here was fresh, hot, and out of the kitchen quickly. I always try the pancakes as my benchmark for breakfast places, and they were 4 star good here - perfectly done with a soft center. The eggs all around were very nice, not overdone. We'll be back soon ... read more

Average run-of-the-meal family style diner. It kinda reminded me of Denny's.. It was decent, but nothing spectacular. The menu is expansive so if you've got a hankering for something chances are good that they might have it. I kept it simple with a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. It was served with lemon chicken rice soup. I didn't care for the fries, but the sandwich was fine. It's kinda hard to screw up grilled cheese! I love lemon chicken rice soup and their version was okay. It was a bit too tart if that makes sense, but it was hot and seemed to be made fresh. The crackers were stale though. My sister had the turkey club sandwich. She didn't care for it. She said the turkey tasted weird. She ate a few bites and pushed it aside. My mom had the french toast with eggs and sausage. She thought her food was just okay. Our waitress was affable though and attentive. The restaurant was quiet, clean and management were conscious of Covid protocols. I doubt I'll visit Peachtree again anytime soon, but I wouldn't rule it out entirely. read more

I recently moved to the area and decided to try this place out. Our waitress was friendly and prompt. The Mexican skillet was delicious!

I drive past this Peachtree all the time, so I'm not sure why this is my first time visiting this place. The building was a Dennys Restaurant for at least 25 years, until about 7 years ago when Peachtree came in.... Honestly, it still looks like Dennys from the outside AND inside. It doesn't look like they've made any improvements in decor. For that, there isn't anything attractive about the place-- pretty basic paint/wallpaper, standard booths and tables, stock lighting, and unremarkable wall hangings Nevertheless, the restaurant was clean, the hostess was quick to seat me, and the waitress was friendly. The menu options consist of traditional breakfast/lunch items. I selected Fresh Country Scrambled Eggs, Country Potatoes, English Muffin, and Ham Off the Bone. Nothing fancy, right???? Well, let me say my food was scrumptious!!!! My Fresh Country Scrambled Eggs seem like a simple menu item. But, I often have difficulty at various breakfast spots, because so many restaurants bring them out to me: baked, fluffed, blended, or even have added pancake batter to them! I was pleasantly surprised when my eggs came out just right! Additionally, my Ham Off The Bone was perfect-- not dried out or salty, like I have received at other restaurants. And, finally, the Country Potatoes are "to-die-for." The potatoes were perfectly browned, with green pepper and onions! 4 Stars based upon the food! Needless to say, I will no longer drive past Peachtree! Peachtree is now on my list of rehular breakfast options! read more

The service was 4 stars! However, my husband and I both ordered the stuffed pepper soup and a BLT and that's 0 stars!! The taste was ok and it was our only meal of the day. But we both ended up with GI issues which included diarrhea! This gave me great concern regarding sanitation! So, although I loved our server, I love my health more and won't be returning. read more

Food is decent. Customer service is superb in my opinion. Waiters were not rude and will get you coffee, napkins, or whatever you need. I ordered an open faced beef sandwich which was good, italian style wedding soup, and a cup of fruit. The fruit wasn't fresh, so I didn't eat it. Other than that I also got coffee which was good, and I loved that the waiter came back to refill my cup. Great for brunch or lunch if you're looking for classic homestyle food. read more

There are a number of places like this in the South suburbs, that give you a hearty breakfast and good service, and this place is one of them, doing good work and bringing people together in an area that just doesn't have enough going on. As a Marian Catholic alum I saw first hand how business dried up in this area, and places where people could go as their neighborhood diners left as well. Peach tree cafe may not give you a 'curated artisanal experience' mediated by tattooed & mustachioed renegade cooks, but they will make you happy while you're there. read more

We loved this place- it was delicious. The rest of my family got breakfast, and they enjoyed it. Well, well, well... This USED to be my favorite place to have breakfast until today. I found a thick black short pice of hair that looked like it could've fell out of someone's beard... They just took my plate and rushed it off... I had to walk up to the counter to find out what they were going to do about it and they said "We're dicing you another one now." I said... So that's it? You aren't going to find out how that hair got into my food?? Do you all wear bonnets back there? They replied yes-- it just happens some times... WOW. I never got to even eat.. because the first thing I went for was the eggs--which is where I saw the hair. Didn't even offer me a "come back coupon/discount/on us" type of thing just "Meh-- You found some hair in your food-- too bad; it could've been worse... You don't want us to fix it again ok then b" read more

I will make this easy. You could tell a lot of love went into the cooking. The translation is delicious food! The food was fresh and seasoned well. We ordered pancakes, chocolate chips, strawberry and maple banana and it was everything my daughters could have hoped for. I had the Denver omelette with potatoes and that did not disappoint. Their coffee was robust, fresh and brewed to perfection and that says a lot coming from me because I'm a coffee connoisseur. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was reasonably priced. Peachtree Cafe is right down the road from my hotel and since my morning wasn't filled with work, I decided to give it a try. It is located in an area where business has suffered and many businesses have closed up but don't let that deter you from coming here. Peachtree Cafe is stuck in the 80's decor wise but is clean and the staff friendly. They have the usual choices for breakfast and some innovative twists. I ordered the Country Skillet which has what they say is two eggs served in a bed of ham, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. I say two eggs because that is what the menu says, but in the reality the skillet is topped with four eggs. It also comes with Swiss and American cheese but I substituted that for Jack and Cheddar. (I don't really care for Swiss cheese) It came out of the kitchen hot and prepared exactly how I asked. It was delicious and cost $8.99. I've read many of the derogatory reviews and have to take them with a grain of salt. They seem to be people bitching and not providing constructive feedback. I find it hard to believe that a manager would refuse to give someone a refund when a customer found a hair in their meal. Most of he reviews for Peachtree are overwhelmingly positive and rightly so. This is a nice, comfortable and friendly place to enjoy a well prepared and good meal. I highly recommend it. read more

Don't get to go out and do Saturday morning breakfast since my guy works so many Saturdays, but he was off yesterday so we went for breakfast. We had a great time. Our server was Juanita. She was so happy and nice and just had a great attitude about her, it just really made your day start off right. You can tell she cares to do her job well. The place was clean and well maintained.
