Went here for the first time was not disappointed at all waitstaff very attentive. The food came out at a reasonable time which was pretty fast and very tasty. I will definitely return.

Food was excellent, the country potatoes were phenomenal!! The service could've been a little bit quicker, but our waitress was very friendly and efficient.

Awesome country skillet with country potatoes, eggs over easy with wheat toast. Great service even though they were swamped on Mother's Day. Food quality that is very hard to beat at reasonable prices. What's not to like? 5 stars all the way around. Best breakfast in the area.

The food was good and the portions were nice size but I asked for ham off the bone and received can ham. Disappointed

Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and seated. They have a nice menu and when you're hungry, everything looks scrumptious. I had the corn beef hash skillet and hubby had the country skillet. Breakfast was filling. Portions are huge with reasonable prices.

I ordered the Sofia plate, the potatoes were drowned in grease, another plate we ordered were the fresh strawberries crepes also were soaked in grease, the hamburger fries where over cooked

Goodmorning YELP community I'm Here at Peachtree Cafe in Matteson IL for breakfast. It's very quiet now and was very quiet throughout my meal! Our food was good! My server Ricky was friendly and cracked a couple jokes! It was very serene and peaceful at this place. I drive down Lincoln Highway all the time and never stopped in. There's plenty of free parking in the front and back of the restaurant. It was good! I definitely recommend.

What a pleasant surprise! After picking up pet supplies, we decided to grab a bite here after reading the Yelp reviews. The restaurant is located in what used to be Denny's back in the day. Believe me, the food is nothing like Denny's; it's much better in my opinion. I ordered country potatoes with eggs and blueberry pancakes and a cup of coffee. First, here is what I did not like: the coffee. It was very weak. If you're a true coffee drinker like me, pass on it. You will be disappointed. A good cup of coffee with breakfast is a must- have for me, hence the 4-star review. The good news is the delicious food made up for it! It was like having a homemade country breakfast at a family restaurant. The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxing. I enjoyed the experience and look forward to returning real soon.

We were welcomed into the restaurant and our server, Juanita, was very nice and attentive. With the couple of issues we had, she resolved them quickly. I must admit, I am not a huge breakfast person in the first place, but this was pretty good. The portions were very large and no one finished their meal. The pancakes were thick and fluffy and warm-- however, some could've been cooked a little more in the center due to the thickness. The omelettes all came out warm and buttery. Unfortunately, the whole grain toast came covered in a butter that was more like lard. In all, it was definitely breakfast that filled me up. The environment is mostly clean, but the carpet looked a little dirty. I personally think carpet in a restaurant is a no-go. Overall, it seems like a homier IHOP, with slightly better quality.

Average run-of-the-meal family style diner. It kinda reminded me of Denny's.. It was decent, but nothing spectacular. The menu is expansive so if you've got a hankering for something chances are good that they might have it. I kept it simple with a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. It was served with lemon chicken rice soup. I didn't care for the fries, but the sandwich was fine. It's kinda hard to screw up grilled cheese! I love lemon chicken rice soup and their version was okay. It was a bit too tart if that makes sense, but it was hot and seemed to be made fresh. The crackers were stale though. My sister had the turkey club sandwich. She didn't care for it. She said the turkey tasted weird. She ate a few bites and pushed it aside. My mom had the french toast with eggs and sausage. She thought her food was just okay. Our waitress was affable though and attentive. The restaurant was quiet, clean and management were conscious of Covid protocols. I doubt I'll visit Peachtree again anytime soon, but I wouldn't rule it out entirely.

I visited during a Saturday afternoon and was surprised with how empty it was. It was one other family that were in the middle of their meal so I was a little nervous. Luckily, the emptiness wasn't related to the quality of the food because it was good. The crawfish etouffee was well seasoned and had a bit of a kick to it if you enjoy spice. They do have a full service bar with cocktails; I ordered a mixed drink and while it tasted fine, I could hardly taste any alcohol in it. The service was also a bit slower than I'd imagine considering that it was empty when I dined. Despite those minor shortcomings, I enjoyed my dining and would keep it on my list of places to consider in the future.

They enjoyed the poboys and thought the fried green tomato on it was an interesting touch. I ordered the vegetarian jambalaya, fried green tomatoes, and fried buffalo mushroom. Overall, I feel like everything, I ordered, was lacking in seasoning. The fried green tomatoes were good with dipping sauce. The batter on the mushrooms were on the soggy side; they might do better to cut the mushrooms instead of serving them whole. The jambalaya was too soupy. Traditional jambalaya doesn't have a liquid/soup to it. The jambalaya was more like a veggie étouffée. I would visit again to try the vegetarian jambalaya and, maybe, have the fried green tomatoes again.

A couple people I know had been Red Star before and were less than enthusiastic about their experiences. One said the drinks weren't good, and another said it was "ratchet." She also said the service was terrible. They both said they visited once and never returned. Despite what others said, we decided to keep an open mind. We arrived after 5 pm, and the hostess greeted us warmly. We found our party easily in the rear of the establishment and were greeted by a tall, handsome gentleman who was doubling as a waiter and bartender. The space is large and cozy... the vibe is lively yet chill and inviting. There were a lot of regulars there, and the staff was very friendly with them. A little too friendly, whereas many of them were too busy socializing to be concerned about the patrons. Our waiter took our drink order and then came back to take our food order. After that he never checked on us. I watched as he hugged other customers while laughing and talking all night. I ordered the catfish nuggets and wanted some hot sauce but could never flag anyone down to ask for it. So, I just went without it. There also weren't enough napkins in the area where I sat, and I had to flag the waiter down to have the water carafe refilled. There appeared to be a manager there as well, wearing a suit coat and Jordans. He kinda reminded me of Daymond John from Shark Tank. He appeared to be helping out at the bar, but he also socialized with regular customers, so it's obvious the the restaurant culture is fostered from the top down. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but when the clientele is neglected, the business suffers. Poor customer service is what can stop someone from being a repeat customer. It's fine to be social, but the customers should always come first. The catfish nuggets and chicken wings were decent. The skin was crispy and flavorful, but the meat itself was bland. The food was edible, but it's certainly not spectacular. Go for the vibes, not the food. The drinks were also just okay. I had a couple of frozen margaritas that were much too sweet. My sister had the Froze, which was also very sweet. Honestly, the drinks tasted like juice. They weren't very strong either. The bartender clearly isn't giving out generous pours of alcohol. One of my sister's coworkers picked up the entire tab for everyone so I don't even know how much the bill cost. She's a regular customer and loves the restaurant. All of us celebrating there was her idea. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. They have multiple televisions if you want to watch a game & there are also slot machines in the front of the restaurant. The bathroom was well-kept and clean too. I'd return to Red Star because of the vibes... not necessarily for the food or drinks. I didn't think the environment was ratchet at all. There was a DJ spinning all night, and the music was a bit too loud, but other than that it was fine. The music is so loud that you can't hear the person next to you. I had never met my sister's coworkers and couldn't really get to know them because we could barely hear each other. The staff should definitely reconsider the volume level as it relates to the music. It's a restaurant, not a club. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, though. People were simply out enjoying themselves. There was no negativity or uncouth behavior.

It's in Flossmoor, IL. I'm so happy to do this review on them. We went on a Tuesday and although I had in mind what I wanted to order from the regular menu, we arrived while their Happy Hour was still going on so we decided to take advantage of their tacos for Taco Tuesday and their guacamole. The guac and chips came out first. It looked so fresh and when I tasted it, the angels were singing! Delicious. Then came the tacos - I was surprised how big they were, filled up with good stuff. I had the steak and the chicken. Both were good but I liked the steak best. I had had a challenging workday so I treated myself to the Lemondrop Flight as I love lemondrop martinis. You can pick three from the flavors of original, passion fruit, watermelon, mango and strawberry. The presentation is beautiful in what they bring it in. Toya, one of the owners made it herself and she is definitely a good at making drinks. I enjoyed them immensely. This place is a total VIBE - small, intimate and cozy. They play R&B that takes you back to the 80s and 90s - we were thoroughly enjoying it. Many come in and sit at the bar where there are two large screen TVs. They also have a small outdoor seating when the weather is nice. We were really enjoying our time there. We had the best wait staff - Chris was super cool, engaging and just plain nice. He was informing us of all the events they have there which piqued my interest. Toya also came over and talked with us and I complimented her on the restaurant and promised her that I would definitely be back and would bring others. I have already posted about them on social media and many of my friends are planning on seeing what they offer. For dessert, I ordered the Turtle Cheesecake. I'm kind of a cheesecake snob because my late Mother made the best cheesecake. The presentation of their cheesecake was gorgeous. The caramel drizzle and nuts on it was inviting. One bite and I was SOLD! I was too full to eat the entire big slice they gave me so I worked on it some more when I got home. This place opened in 2023. I wish them the best because they definitely have something there. I can't wait to come back there, it's a place to come, relax, eat good food and enjoy the positive environment that there. Check out their weekly events, brunch and live entertainment on Saturdays. Thank you Poppin' Corks, A+!!

She recommended Poppin Corks Bistro. I passed by several time, and being solo, I was looking to get a seat at the bar rather than in the main dining area. There has never been a time that I passed that there was a seat open at the bar, so I sat in the main dining area this one time. I ordered blackened catfish with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. This was a hit. It was full of flavor without going overboard with seasoning. And I appreciate that it was cooked to order. It made up for the cranberry juice being water with a "hint" of cranberry juice, an indication that it probably came from a tap. Service was top and one of the owners made rounds to check on customers. I may stop by again at some point in the future. It would certainly be a welcomed break when I am taking respite from cooking at home.
