Breakfast burrito with hashbrowns added inside

Came here for a breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. For the price of only $10, I got a burrito big enough to share with another person. It was soooo big and hot right off the grill. Comes with a side of potato's or hashbrowns. I asked for them to be put inside the burrito. Such an amazing addition. Only critique is the hashbrowns weren't very crispy at all. As a whole it was a wonderful burrito in a small restaurant. Definitely recommend coming to support the people here! With a great price and portion to the food this well worth a try.

Lansing Road Omelette w hash browns.

My breakfast was; a Lansing Road Omelette I got it because it's unique to Dion's about the road this place is on. It was done nicely, presented nicely and tasted really good. I added a half order of Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, it was also really nice, thinner slices of biscuits maybe 4/4th inch by three inches round, and a good portion of gravy. My breakfast came with choices.. I chose hash browns instead of the hunk/cube variety and pancakes instead of toast. The omelette had chopped breakfast sausage, spinach and something else.. I forgot . The pancakes were about 5 inches wide and three stacked, with butter and warmed syrup. Everything was cooked very nicely and tasted really good. The portions were sort of large. Everything is getting 5 stars because Dion's is trying and succeeding to do things the right way. The service, server and seating/hostess staff were all professional giving the customer smiles and any help in menu questions. The cooks know how to cook a nice breakfast all around. Dion's is well kept and clean. The one and only nitpick would be the sound from other diners might get a little loud as there's a lot of hard surfaces but no sound proofing for that single dining room. That's an easy fix should Dion's choose to do so. The staff and quality food and menu make up for it.

Great place to come for breakfast. Came on a Saturday around 11:30am and they weren't too busy. We were greeted and sat in booth right away. The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. When you sit down they bring water (and coffee) to the table right away. I stuck with the water and my mom got an iced tea. For breakfast I ordered the 2x2x2 with scrambled eggs and cinnamon apple french toast. I don't eat meat but there are no substitutions so I just gave the bacon to my mom. (Note: they don't have Turkey bacon just regular.) In the future it would be nice to have the option to sub meat for fruit or grits or something. There was a $2.99 up charge for the speciality French toast but it was worth it. The apples were warm, fresh and skinless. The French toast was thick and fluffy. Delicious. My mom wanted to build her own omelette and she was able to customize something she liked. She ordered it with diced potatoes and wheat toast. She really enjoyed it and the portion size was filling. The decor is cute on the inside. The single bathroom was clean and had a changing table for the babies. Our bill was $26. We had a great breakfast here and I will definitely be coming back. The restaurant is open daily from 6am-3pm.

I was pleasantly surprised at this breakfast cafe. Took my two granddaughters to have a late breakfast. The reviews about this cafe were excellent on yelp so we decided to check it out. We were greeted right away and the ambiance was okay a little small and quaint. We ordered Chicken and waffles, Denver omelette, and a Belgian waffle. There was a little wait for the food, but it was well worth it. My granddaughter said the chicken and waffles were delicious! The Belgian waffle was nice and crisp. My Denver omelette was perfect and the cheddar cheese was included. The fresh fruit was delicious. The prices were reasonable, and I promised my grandkids we would come back again!

I ordered the corned beef hash skillet, and it did not disappoint. I always appreciate when a restaurant makes their corned beef hash in-house--it makes a difference--and this one was full of flavor and served piping hot. It also came with a side of pancakes, which were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. One small touch I really appreciated was the variety of flavored coffee creamers available at the table. It's nice to have options beyond the usual half-and-half. A fun surprise: my food was delivered by a robot! I'd heard about this but had never experienced it in person--definitely a cool and memorable touch. Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. If you're in or near Homewood and looking for a solid breakfast spot, this place is absolutely worth checking out. #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad

My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

My last visit was when they were still on Old Western Ave in Blue Island--way overdue for a return. Let's start with the food--absolutely delicious. For mains, we went with the Pitmaster's N'awlins Gumbo, Hickory Buttered BBQ Shrimp, and Burnt Ends. Every dish was spot on--flavorful, well-executed, and clearly made with care. The restaurant itself is pristine--clean, polished, and classy without feeling stuffy. Service was just as strong. Our server, Nick, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Safe to say, it will NOT be another 30 years before my next visit. Highly recommend.

They have a few parking spaces in the front of the building with a larger lot in the rear. It was not too crowded and we were seated immediately. Our server Michaela was very friendly and suggested a few food items for my wife which were GF. I started with the House Old Fashion and my wife had the Bee's Knees. Both were very good and cost 10.00 each. For lunch I tried their Pecan Whiskey BBQ wings. 5 wings cost 10.00. They were good size and very tasty but I didn't taste any of the Pecan Whiskey flavor. My wife had the Barbacoa Tacos which were filled with braised beef. She could only eat 2 of them so I had the third taco. Flavorful but I would have preferred more salsa or a dipping sauce. I wanted to try their Drop Dead Bourbon separately so I had a small tasting. I loved it so much I bought a bottle to bring home. Cost was 60.00. The history of this distillery dates back to 1857 and is one of Illinois' oldest standing distillerys and was once Al Capones largest bootlegging facility during prohibition.
