I got my nails and toes done here yesterday. Vi and Tina were both nice. However, I haven't had my nails done in over 5 years and so was kinda out of the game of knowing how long or short I wanted them. I told Tina I needed my full set to be short because I'm a nurse and what not. She cut them to where she thought was short, and I said I needed them shorter. She told me she thought it was already short and to come back if I wanted them shorter. I went back today after deciding I needed them shaved down and let me tell you, the girl who came to talk to me is lucky that I have anger control. Because boy was she asking for a fight. She mocked me, spoke to me sarcastically, rolled her eyes, gave me a death glare, and basically called me stupid. I got up and told her she was so f**ckin rude, and walked out before something bigger happened. All because I wanted my nails shaved down. Which by the way, I was absolutely overcharged for. Somehow, my mani pedi was $130. Anyways, the place appears clean at first glance but all Of their instruments are reused without washing or sanitizing and dirty. When they brush your nails off with the large kabuki brush, you can literally feel everyone else's nail dust on the brush. The tools used for the woman who had just left were put on a cart and rolled over to be used on me. Those sanitizing autoclaves are just for show. They're not actually on. Not a single tool was pulled out of a clean package. So if you want attitude, to be talked to like you're an idiot, and have dirty instruments used on you, this is the right place for you. read more

I wanna start up by saying my review is very valid for being a 3 1/2 year customer here. This review is based on multiple experiences throughout my time being a customer here. I wanna start off by saying if you want cleanliness do not come here . They reuse the same bits without cleaning in between clients or having back ups that are clean. When you are waxing, they also use the same stick from what I've noticed, and Mimi does not wash her hands before or after... After all the red flags, I've seen coming here for 3 1/2 years. I decided to stick with it because it was very affordable but after today my experience, I will no longer be coming here. Last week I come in for my valentines set. I got color 105 on my toes and wanted to do matching with my hands but then the nail tech goes. You don't wanna do something pretty for Valentines and I said okay fine give me a pink cat eye on my hands and she shows me a cat eye display and I chose a pink one! Mind you when I get my nails done I am trying to relax. I close my eyes and sit back while I'm getting massaged in the chair. And I had previously told the hand tech I'm looking for Tina because she always does my hands and I love how she does my hands since she's very considerate and hand files my hands because I'm very sensitive when they aggressively e-file. And she said you don't trust me to do it. And I gave her this face because she had once previously waxed me so bad and during that wax, she waxed me with an eyebrow stick going segment by segment . I was getting waxed for about an hour with this tech when I had asked for mimi but she was on vacation at the time and I said okay that's fine. I'll come back when she is here. She proceeded to tell me it's fine. I can do it and I said no it's okay. My fault for trusting this tech which is the same tech that did my hands this day my nails were not a pink cat eye. They were more copper with green and pink, which is not what I had in mind for Valentine's Day. It kinda looked like WICKED themed nails which isn't bad but if it was November, I would definitely do this and it's Valentines, which is why I didn't like it so I called Mimi telling her I'm going to come in for a polish change for the following week which is today and we did my nails while she was doing her nails and asked me what color did I wanna do and I said I want pink chrome or pink cat eye and she said NO cat eye anymore you waste money. Which brought me to surprise because out of all my experiences I have never once complained but today I thought she was very rude because I'm paying for my service. I don't understand why I was told no and I had to just get the same color that was all my toes from that day, which is fine but the fact that I was charged was ridiculous because I just wanted my nails fixed and she charged me $21 for a nail polish change when I called her the same day I originally got my nails done as soon as I got in the car because I did not want to embarrass anyone or make anyone feel offended. The point to my review is you get what you pay for . I just know that I will no longer be coming here. They are rude to you and they're not clean. I'm surprised the state hasn't came in to check. But if you do come here Tina is your girl she does beautiful nails. She's very careful and takes her time. read more

It's not often I treat myself to getting my nails done, so when I went in yesterday I chose to do gold glitter polish on my toes for something a little more fun. I then sat for a while till I could get my manicure which was fine because it allowed for my toes to fully dry. For my nails I asked for a classic white ombré French tip. I showed my tech exactly what I wanted shape and color wise over and over again, but she was to busy in her conversation to do what I asked. She ended up doing a silver glitter French tip and told me "next time, I'll do what you're asking for". That truly sucks, because I really hate my nails and the fact that not only do they clash color wise and are far from what I asked for, but she rushed through shaping them because she had other clients she would've rather been doing. My first experience at this salon was outstanding and this experience alone would make me never want to go back.the only reason this post even got two stars is because the woman that did my toes did a nice job. Asked her MANY times to please fix them to the almond shape like photo shows with brown colors, but got this terrible shape in all different lengths in pink! Then when I asked the final time for her to please fix the shape and make them all the same length, I was told, we don't do almond shape. WTF! Why was I told yes we can do when I showed them the picture and as soon as I sat down? I should have left when I heard the arguing from Mimi and customers. Do NOT go to this place!! I will share on social media and tell my mom and all our friends who have gone there recently to STOP unless they want to be disappointed and have to pay someone at a different shop to fix a mess. Wonderful service, friendly, very clean and comfortable. I've had my dip nails for two weeks now and they still look great. My pedicure looks as good as the day I got it. Dissapointed to say the least... went in for dip powder and sat down with a gal who I did not get her name. After picking the color and telling her I wanted a tip since my nails are short, she begins the service on my natural nails. I reminded her I asked for a tip and she called the owner over who tried to convince me to do a different service since I want a tip. I declined and told her I always so tip with my dip powder and they finally agreed to do the service, i also made the mistake of requesting almond shape. Well long story short- I was cut about 5 times, asked for almond and continually had to ask to shape better as they looked more round. I left very unhappy with the shape and gave up trying to ask her to fix. Icing on the cake- an lady was in there yelling and telling people in the back to shut the hell up and listen to her. Services like this are supposed to be relaxing- but mine was far from it. Oh yeah- they also charged me $8 more than the quote she had given me over the phone. I got a nail/finger infection from this place. I went to get my nails done before my engagement photos thinking the reviews were promising even though it's not where I usually go. I had no issues with anything really, even though the lack of color options was pretty sad. It wasn't until the following day that I had throbbing pain in my left middle finger that I attributed to just pressure from my nails. But it kept getting worse to the point where I couldn't move my finger properly because of the swelling and pain. By the following day, I was icing my finger all day to try to reduce pain until I realized that I had a red line going from my finger nail down through the right side of my finger. I knew what that meant so immediately went to the doctor and luckily got on antibiotics right away. I should have known since I hadn't seen the tech clean any of her tools and they came out of the box with nail dust all over them already. read more

Mimi gives great nails. Specifically, Mimi herself. Acrylic nails are an art form and the artist deserves respect. That being said, treating your customers with respect is the least one should deliver. I am done ignoring Mimi's blatant disrespect. Deriding and openly being disrespectful to me your customer, is unacceptable. Do you actually believe that because you are speaking Vietnamese that I don't understand you are ridiculing me. During my pedicure I had scheduled the repair of two broken nails which needed to be repaired. Regardless of who had done them, I fully expected to pay for the repairs as I was also having a pedicure in your salon. While you repaired my nails you had an openly (albeit in Vietnamese) derisive commentary on how "dare I ask you to repair someone else's work." I understand enough of your native language and your body language to get the gist of your disrespect. Needless to say I won't be back and neither should anyone else who respects their health. You are not taking the neessary precautions recommended by the CDC during Covid. NO shields for your workers or customers during pedicures. Shame on you for your incredibly RUDE Behavior. read more

If you like deep cuts and a rushed paint job, then this is the place for you. Although my nail tech was friendly, she performed a rushed paint job, leaving paint on the edges of my fingers, and left me with deep cuts on my skin after using a nail filer. She also wasn't very gentle when she was removing my previous gel nail polish. My nail polish was layered on thick and it didn't even last me a week before the gel started to lift off of one of my fingers. First and last time that I will be coming back here. read more

I have made 2 appointments at this salon with Mimi specifically and she has ran 30 minutes - 1 hour late. She makes no apologies about her tardiness, even though I have a scheduled appointment. My first time there it took 2 hours to get a fill and pedicure, even though I told her I needed to have them done together as I had another appointment after that one. What a disappointing visit today! I'm not from Upland but decided to stop by to get a fill and a cute Valentine's Day design. While getting my nails done my technician leaves and begins to do another clients nails.. Although this wasn't a big deal for me it definitely foreshadowed what was to come. While my nails were getting painted a cute pink shade I showed her an inspo photo (shown below) and the technician told me the total would be $43 WHICH INCLUDED the $5 design. I agreed that it was fine and she begins adding the red hearts. After a few attempts she told me it was too hard and could not do it so I no longer had a design on any nails. Fine no problem... I go to pay and they tell me my total is $43 still. Mind you, that was my total WITH a nail design. They were very persistent that now they were charging me for my nails being "too long" LOL EXCUSE ME?!? It's not about the money.. it's just about the fact that they tried to charge me for something I didn't receive. Safe to say I'll never come here again..
