Bucatini alla Americana- recommended by the server and it was fantastic
    Kristen M.

Really enjoyed this place. It had a short line of 10 pp deep when we arrived at 7:45 pm. They have tables inside and outside. We were tucked into a cozy corner of the basement which had air conditioning. Service was superb. She was pleasant, offered good food suggestions and attentive. All salads are entrees, so we shared it. It was so fresh and delicious with olive oil and balsamic. The focaccia was good, but not the best I've had. I had bucatini alla Americana which was recommended by the server. So delicious. A hollow spaghetti noodle with red sauce, bacon and Parmesan cheese. Very tasty. The basement was cozy and tucked away from all the noise and activity. They bring limoncello with the bill. On our way out, the bartender gave us a second shot. Really enjoyable staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Seeing as this place has 5 stars on Yelp and Trip Advisor with thousands of reviews, I had high hopes for our dinner here. The restaurant itself is very cute and it's in a great location. The food wasn't bad, it was just pretty average and I'm not sure I understand the hype. I ordered the carbonara after reading positive Yelp reviews about it and I really wasn't impressed. The bacon was the most flavorful part, but otherwise, the dish's flavors sort of fell flat. That said, we ordered the focaccia and the caprese salad as appetizers and I have to admit that it was (by far) the best focaccia we had during our trip to Italy. I had a limoncello spritz to drink, which was tasty and not something I saw on a lot of other restaurant menus while in Rome. Maybe we just caught Mimi e Coco on a bad day, but I wasn't super impressed overall.

    Carbonara - delicious!

First Impressions: arrived at 7:30pm after some apertivos (but starving as we landed late afternoon and missed lunch hours) and was surprised to find a queue of people waiting to be seated, as dinner is usually served late (typically 9pm-11pm) in Italy. Loved the ambiance and outdoor seating, but as the heat and humidity hadn't dissipated even at 7:30pm with the sun having gone down, we opted for indoor seating. We were seated in the lower floors, which had AC (main dining floors has fan/AC but it was open to the street so was a bit warmer mixing with outdoor air). I usually like outdoor seating in Europe, but as we were still jet lagged and hungry, being seated in the lower (cellar?) floors we were able to enjoy our food within a pleasant air conditioned room with other diners and not compete with outside street noises. The Noms: seriously, delicious. Was hard to top out first meal in Rome... it was so good. I had the carbonara, which they are known for: creamy and rich and the guanciale was so crisp and succulent and lent a fatty richness to the meal. Think bacon but leveled up to 10000x. The portion was perfect and even though I was full, I wished for a second stomach so I could relive that meal. My husband had the lasagne (which they are also known for)... I've never been a big lasagna person, but HELLO this is the best lasagna I've ever had. Ever! It was so creamy and melt in your mouth, the sauce is robust and flavorful, but the pasta remained Al dente... like, HOW? Usually lasagna pasta is a mushy and over cooked in the baking process but holy eff this was AMAZING. I think I ate a full third of my husband's meal. We also had a focaccia bread with mozzarella and mortadella to add to the meal and it was good. Bread was thin and crispy yet chewy. I enjoyed it. In Conclusion: Yes, yes, YES! Go here! So delicious! Keep in mind there's also a location in Rome's city center but I loved the ambiance of Trastevere. Wish I could have gone back for another meal!

Probably one of our favorite meals of a week and a half in Rome the pasta was amazing. The carbonara was probably one of the best I ever had try the lasagna and of course they had different types of spritz amazing on a hot day or a good way to end a trip they had the best of everything for your last meal.

We stopped here on a whim & are so glad we did! The staff is friendly, the drinks were superb & the vibes are exactly what we needed on this HOT August afternoon. We absolutely recommend if you're in the Trastevere area!

Very good pasta!!! Better than any pasta in the us but not the best in Italy. I would definitely go here again the service is relaxed.

The bread was so freaking good!!! Lasagna was excellent too.

Finally!!!! Food inside downtown Rome is awful. This place is worth the cab ride. It was so delicious from start to finish. The vibe of the place is excellent and they have really yummy, strong drinks! Highly recommend giving them a try.

Good casual food, reasonable drink list, convenient location with lots of shops within walking distance, and great service.

This was my first restaurant experience straight off the plane in Rome & it was lovely. Found this place based off a blog and it was such a great spot. The servers were so kind and welcoming to me and my sister & the ambience was so beautiful. Great spot to walk around, people watch, get a drink, and enjoy Trastevere! Laura was SO kind and she brought us limoncello and biscotti to enjoy since we had told her this was our first time ever in Rome. This place is a gem and will be dreaming of returning here forever.

This place was recommended by our AirBnB host. When we got there at 7pm, almost everyone were having aperitivo. We opted to have the Caprese salad followed by Ravioli and Cacio e Pepe. Nicol and Eva were so attentive at taking care of us. This was service at its best! We really appreciated the limoncello shots after dinner. The Caprese salad was fresh and a great prelude to our meals. I have been craving for Cacio e Pepe and this didn't disappoint! There were lines of patrons waiting to sit down. This location at Trastevere was really quaint and romantic!

Had dinner here about 7pm in early April. The 5-stars are for the outstanding "beef filet with…read morerocket" and the so-delicious grilled artichoke in the 'potato & artichoke' side dish. The filet was a steak, grilled perfectly for my liking (not charred on the outside, lean but not dry, juicy, medium rare, quite thick) and a large portion. It was perfect imo. As was the grilled artichoke - flavorful! The house wine was actually quite good. The staff and atmosphere were fine. Hubby thought his saltimbocca was too greasy and salty. I had steak two other times in Italy and none were as good as this one. I would go back every week just for the beef filet and grilled artichoke if I could. In regards to the review from Oct 2025 - most restaurants in Rome charge for water which is served in a glass bottle but you are not supposed to take the bottle with you. So this restaurant is no different in that regard to any other Roman (and maybe Italian) restaurant.

It has been a long day for me, Ricky Sausage, and my sister, Sally Sausage. We have scoured the…read moreVatican looking for clues to where the Declaration of Independence is hidden. We both believe the film "National Treasure" is a prophecy but all of the clues actually reside in the Vatican. Do you believe that too? After collecting sufficient evidence and finding the next clue for the location of the artifact, we were hungry! What better place to eat than 433? We arrived around 9 and the outside patio was packed. An amplified violin player wandered the tables. We didn't mind sitting inside, so we were seated immediately. Less immediate was actually getting service, which took around 15 minutes. Which is fine! Lest we be the Americans in a Rush. As we waited, our eyes scanned the restaurant for additional clues to the whereabouts of historic artifacts. Sally scanned the walls in a trance. Among the art, she appreciates "...the naked butt and Walter White and the queer table. From far away, it looks like the logo says 'a**'." Our waiter takes our order and returns with our drinks, lickety split. Sally remarks on her Prosecco, "tastes like 'a**'. I can't say I know what that tastes like, but I can 'a**'-ume. The bubbles are full of 'a**'." I ordered the Negroni. It was standard fare. The only unique element was that it came with a lot of ice. I enjoyed it! The food comes out equally quick. We begin with the Caesar salad. Sally munches and crunches and says, "Dare I say the best I've ever had..? A lady finger crouton tastes like a lady. The finger! In circle form..." The dressing on the salad is a delight, light and flavorful. Next up is the beef fillet. Sally chews and says, "Blood in my mouth... So good, so blood... Feels like I'm eating red 'a**'." I agree! Finally, we have the Tonnarelli Con Pomodorini, Basilico E Scaglie Di Parmigiano. Sally notes, "Very thick hot noodles... Tastes fresh like the pope on a Tuesday - red-hot like pizza supper! The noodles are thicc but it matches the theme of the restaurant. Feels like I'm eating 'a**'!" We round out our meal by enjoying a glass of the house red. "Tastes like swirly 'a**'. I thought it was blood from the steak... TURNS OUT, It was from a grape. And you know what kind of grape? The 'a**' grape..... Grape from an 'a**'..... Which is? A grape." We were stuffed to the gills with delicious food and drink. Our bloodhound-like noses were re-energized for clues and now we have a fresh scent for 'a**.' Who knows where that scent will lead us! Thank you, 433333!

We were told we could sit outside. Another person in our party asked for inside seating but we were told outside only. No biggie. Our server was ok. He seemed to be irritated in general. He presented the chalkboard and went over the specials but we had already chosen our entrees from the standard menu. Two of the ladies wanted to split an appetizer but the waiter kept insisting that it was intended for one person and that ordering just one wouldn't be enough to share. They went ahead with the single order and it was plentiful. Water was 3 euro per vase and the spritz was 15 euro. For entrees we got two orders of the Linguine and two orders of the spaghetti. Prior to the food coming out they brought out a complimentary bread basket. It had 5 slices of bread and then some smaller round breadsticks. The pastas came out shortly after. Presentation was beautiful but the actual pasta dish (I had the lemon linguine) wasn't my favorite. The dish was cold and the noodles were overly hard. It was creamy but had hardly any lemon flavor. The table next to us, a larger group ordered several orders of the lemon linguine and the chef himself came out to greet them and then plated the pasta outside for everyone to see. They were a group of 6 vs our 4. He spoke to them and the table next to us but never acknowledged us. It felt kind of weird. At the end of our meal we asked for to go boxes and the check. We asked to pay separately and the server was visibly upset at our request. We ended out working the payment out amongst ourselves (Venmo-ing each other and such) to lesson the burden. Overall it was ok but not the 5 star, best meal in Italy experience other reviewers tend to mention.

We were fine but it was hilarious to see letting the men down as we went with the menu. There are more authentic places (next door) and this was fine... nothing earth shattering in a city with many good restaurants. The lemon plates are cool.
