Had an amazing experience at 433 Restaurant in Rome. The atmosphere was incredible. Classic Roman streets, beautiful outdoor seating, and such a lively energy at night. The pasta was fresh and full of flavor, and the service made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. It's the perfect place to enjoy dinner while taking in the authentic charm of Rome. Definitely one of my favorite dining experiences during the trip and a spot I would absolutely return to. read more

It has been a long day for me, Ricky Sausage, and my sister, Sally Sausage. We have scoured the Vatican looking for clues to where the Declaration of Independence is hidden. We both believe the film "National Treasure" is a prophecy but all of the clues actually reside in the Vatican. Do you believe that too? After collecting sufficient evidence and finding the next clue for the location of the artifact, we were hungry! What better place to eat than 433? We arrived around 9 and the outside patio was packed. An amplified violin player wandered the tables. We didn't mind sitting inside, so we were seated immediately. Less immediate was actually getting service, which took around 15 minutes. Which is fine! Lest we be the Americans in a Rush. As we waited, our eyes scanned the restaurant for additional clues to the whereabouts of historic artifacts. Sally scanned the walls in a trance. Among the art, she appreciates "...the naked butt and Walter White and the queer table. From far away, it looks like the logo says 'a**'." Our waiter takes our order and returns with our drinks, lickety split. Sally remarks on her Prosecco, "tastes like 'a**'. I can't say I know what that tastes like, but I can 'a**'-ume. The bubbles are full of 'a**'." I ordered the Negroni. It was standard fare. The only unique element was that it came with a lot of ice. I enjoyed it! The food comes out equally quick. We begin with the Caesar salad. Sally munches and crunches and says, "Dare I say the best I've ever had..? A lady finger crouton tastes like a lady. The finger! In circle form..." The dressing on the salad is a delight, light and flavorful. Next up is the beef fillet. Sally chews and says, "Blood in my mouth... So good, so blood... Feels like I'm eating red 'a**'." I agree! Finally, we have the Tonnarelli Con Pomodorini, Basilico E Scaglie Di Parmigiano. Sally notes, "Very thick hot noodles... Tastes fresh like the pope on a Tuesday - red-hot like pizza supper! The noodles are thicc but it matches the theme of the restaurant. Feels like I'm eating 'a**'!" We round out our meal by enjoying a glass of the house red. "Tastes like swirly 'a**'. I thought it was blood from the steak... TURNS OUT, It was from a grape. And you know what kind of grape? The 'a**' grape..... Grape from an 'a**'..... Which is? A grape." We were stuffed to the gills with delicious food and drink. Our bloodhound-like noses were re-energized for clues and now we have a fresh scent for 'a**.' Who knows where that scent will lead us! Walking through the streets of Rome towards the end of our two-week vacation, soaking up the culture, history, sounds, smells and sights, and my husband tells me he's hungry. I wasn't ready for lunch at that point, but he needed food, so we went searching for a spot open and ready to serve (as Americans, we eat earlier than the locals, so that's always a consideration). Ristorante 433 was situated next to another restaurant, both looked to be doing good business and had intriguing menus. This place won out, though, because the staff was friendly and accommodating, without being too "salesman" and trying to usher us inside. We chose a table on the patio under an open umbrella. We had just settled in and were contemplating the menu when one of the waitresses came by and told us that the sun would be shifting soon, meaning we'd lose the umbrella's protection if we didn't move. She offered us another table under the canopy, which we accepted. To start, we ordered the Pinsetta con la Concia (a flatbread with marinated zucchini) for €14. For my main, and because I wasn't all that hungry, I ordered the Caprese salad (€10). My husband went with the Diavolo pizza (€13). The zucchini flatbread was surprisingly delicious. The bread was crunchy and chewy, and the flavor of the zucchini - not my husband's first choice of vegetable - was savory and herby. And I will say that the Caprese salad was exactly what I needed in that moment. Not just the fresh green vegetables, but something lighter than the carb-heavy pastas and breads I'd been living on the entirety of our trip. My husband really enjoyed his pizza, mostly because of the meat and mozzarella. I know he could have polished off one more of the pizzas and been a happy camper, but he left satiated. This place is a nice little corner spot. The ambiance was great. We were quickly seated for a party of 6. The server came got our drink order and brought them quickly. They took our order and the food was out right away. Everything was delicious and very flavorful. They made no fuss about splitting our bills and we quickly paid. The gentleman server was extremely helpful. Guided me to the taxis and made sure we found our way. Nice little spot to try. read more

Had dinner here about 7pm in early April. The 5-stars are for the outstanding "beef filet with rocket" and the so-delicious grilled artichoke in the 'potato & artichoke' side dish. The filet was a steak, grilled perfectly for my liking (not charred on the outside, lean but not dry, juicy, medium rare, quite thick) and a large portion. It was perfect imo. As was the grilled artichoke - flavorful! The house wine was actually quite good. The staff and atmosphere were fine. Hubby thought his saltimbocca was too greasy and salty. I had steak two other times in Italy and none were as good as this one. I would go back every week just for the beef filet and grilled artichoke if I could. In regards to the review from Oct 2025 - most restaurants in Rome charge for water which is served in a glass bottle but you are not supposed to take the bottle with you. So this restaurant is no different in that regard to any other Roman (and maybe Italian) restaurant. read more

It was good but they ripped me off with the water charge. Cost me 3euro and it was clearly a bottle they filled with tap water since it wasn't sealed. I thought fine, I'll take it for my walk. When I asked just to make sure he said no I couldn't take it. I said, well I paid for it and it's from the sink isn't it? He said it wasn't, I said, well why was it open already? He didn't have an answer and said he would ask his boss if I could take it. I just refused and left. read more

One of the BEST pasta I've ever tasted! The service however, was extremely slow. We waited 20 minutes to get the menu and another 20 mins to get our food but it was worth it! I had the Arrabbiata E Pecorino with Rigatoni and my partner had the Arrabbiata E Pecorino with Tonnarelli, and both were 10/10. Our last day in Rome and we headed to Piazza Navona. Wow what a neighborhood of restaurants and shops. Quite different from the restaurants and shops at Piazza Spagna. After walking the neighborhood for a while, it started to sprinkle so we headed to Ristorante 433 for lunch. Lucky for me they had pizza Mariana on the menu. We both ordered it. Oh my! One of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust was thin and crispy. The tomato sauce with garlic and oregano was flavorful. Hit the spot! For dessert, I ordered the sorbetto. It was delicious. After eating at this restaurant, I received the wise advice that you should never eat at a restaurant in Rome where people are beckoning you in. I wish I got that advice better I came here. The food wasn't terrible, nor were the prices, but when you are in Rome your pasta should be knocking your socks off. It that didn't happen here. The portions and quality were fine, but just not great. The service was alright, but not fantastic. The place was filled with tourists (because they were beckoned in by people on the street). This was the best pasta I had in Rome - hands down. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauces were flavorful and unique. My group shared a marinara pizza as an apporixer which was delicious and featured their delicious red sauce and delicious fresh garlic and herbs. Then we shared three different pasta dishes - puntenesca, arribiata, and their Roman pasta. All three were absolutely delicious. If I had to choose just one, the arribiata was a stand out but that is a very very hard choice to make as all were delicious! In addition, the drinks were delicious as well. Super cute outdoor seating area. Perfect place to eat, drink, and people watch. My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place while exploring the city and decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs were melt in your mouth good. My boyfriend had the pizza with prosciutto and enjoyed his meal. Portion sizes are fairly big with reasonable prices. The aperol spritz were refreshing. Dude, that was some of the best pasta I have ever had. I inhaled it all in minutes and sipped my sprite in satisfaction. Here I am two nights later in need of good pasta; I looked on the map and made my way back here. I ordered the same pasta and it took my breath away all the same. Our server was pleasant and helped my wife with her order. I went with their Carbonara, made with short noodles. I've had carbonara a couple of times since we arrived in Italy for a holiday, and what I had today was the best. It was moist and plentiful, and the taste was great. I was going to give it 4 stars because our male server was rude, but the lady who ended up helping us was so kind and the food was phenomenal. Don't get the steak thinking it's going to be like an American steak. The seasoning is different. There is very little. Did I say VERY little? lol That being said, their Carbonara was my favorite that I've had in Rome and you must get the double butter and cheese pasta. Both are ridiculously good! It's hard NOT to find good food while in Rome, however, 433's dishes are not only exceptional but a fantastic value. Their fresh pasta with bacon & truffles were delicious! Best meal we ate in Europe. Order fresh pasta - doesn't matter what, so long as it's fresh. We had the minced lamb and fettuccini pasta dish - probably the best part. The fillet with bacon truffle was amazing, also. Cooked perfectly (rare - there's only one way to eat an amazing steak!). Our dishes were so good we ordered another round of pasta - the Ristorante 433 dish - it was a little too salty but otherwise delicious. After two weeks in Europe, this restaurant beat a wonderful meal in Venice (separate review coming) and a Michelin star restaurant in Paris (separate review also coming). Only recommend it for drink and little antipasti. Was very dissapointed with beef carpaccio... it was not fresh and seems like cheif was trying to hide its bad freshness with huge amount of lemon juice poored onto it. Flew all the way to Rome to try some pasta in its motherland. Tried the mixed bruschetta, cherry tomato and basil pasta, and lasagna. We'll start with the cherry tomato and basil pasta. Cooked to al dente perfection and amazing flavor. The mixed bruschetta was a total miss. It's bread was so stale it might have been as old as from when the Pantheon was first built. The tomato bruschetta had no flavor, and olive bruschetta tasted so salty you might as well wash it down with some sea water straight from the ocean. The lasagna was nothing special. The wife was quoted as saying Costco lasagna is better. Pricing was reasonable. For being in a touristy section of Rome each plate was about 10 Euros. We had an app, two dishes and a decent bottle of wine for 42 Euros. read more
