This place was highly recommended by our tour guide and thus we gave it a try. It's close to the Vatican City. The place is cozy and the waiters are attentive. If you want to try a restaurant that the locals love, this is one of them. Definitely deserves the 5 star rating. The only thing that I recommend is to check the bill carefully because they tend to add the cost of pane/bread even though they never gave us. It's only a € anyway. read more

Great seafood restaurant. The menu is not huge but all spot on! Take grill of the day - for 15 euro or do you have 3 types of seafood and really good. Deserts are dreamy and as always in Italy wine is very affordable. I also like the Rosso beer (7.3%). Very good. read more

Impeccable food. We wandered in off the streets of Prati with no real plan, and found this wonderful, unassuming hole in the wall. In fact, the place is quite large. It was relatively empty when we walked in. And yet, by the time we had finished our appetizer, the place was entirely packed. We hadn't noticed, we were so enthralled with the food. The tris di tartare was great, as was the full-bodied cacio e pepe di mare, and the yellow tuna was delectable and dissolved beautifully with each bite. This has been the best meal we've had in Rome this trip round (3 days so far, and new restaurants and dishes at every opportunity), and we are most certainly planning to return to more thoroughly explore the menu. read more

My friend and I thought this was the best restaurant we went to in Rome. Their calamari is delicious and their pasta (carbonara) is as well. Their prices are reasonable AND they have a buffet during the earlier hours for ONLY 9 euros. The buffet had an array of pasta, pizza, sides etc. Porto gets really busy, so if you are going for dinner try to get there before 8:30pm. read more

Great food and beautiful atmosphere!! Only complaint was they forgot one of our plates so by the time the other one came everyone was almost done with their dinner! But they did compensate us for the inconvenience by knocking a few euro off of our bill!! When my family and I come back we will be eating here because the calamari is Amazing!!! read more

I stayed right by Porto during my trip to Rome. They were reasonable a little pricey for a fish&chips restaurant. It seemed like this was a really popular spot for the locals as there are not to many tourists in this part of town. The service was good they do have some English menus and overall were pretty helpful in trying to explain what everything was on the menu. Their fish & chips are very delicious and all the ingredients are very fresh. We ordered again from here to take away and it was fast and efficient. Also, they are combined with Quarto next door so you can have burgers and seafood during lunch hours. Overall, it was a good spot for lunch something different from the traditional pasta and pizza every day. I wouldn't say this was the best place to eat, but worth a visit. read more

Close to the Vatican. The place looks like a hipster pub you would run into when Im Seattle. You know it's got to be decent when a lot of locals are around. The waiters are super friendly and an English menu is available. For buffet lunch it is 9 euro including water. We opted for the menu options. We had the sesame encrusted yellow tuna, shrimp/arugula/Apple/carry salad, and a seafood (clam/mussel) pasta. The yellowfin tuna wasn't out of the ordinary, the salad had small size shrimp but was very refreshing, the seafood pasta had a delicious orange zest to it and didn't feel too heavy. I'm sitting in the restaurant as I write this - such a nice little place! I saw lots of reviews about lunch but I am here for dinner. Meals range from 8 - 13 euro which is SO cheap compared to what I've been to. I got a large beer for 5 euro. I had the fish and chips which was just as good as what I had in London, and cheaper, at 10 euro. Water at dinner was 2 euro. The service was great, the guys were really friendly and my waiter even spoke some English which was great! Worth a stop if you're hungry and don't want to spend 30 euro at some tourist trap restaurant. read more
