The food in this restaurant are amazing! The truffle bruchetta is the bomb. The bread complimentary is great. The restaurant is tiny but fine. I like all the food that we ordered. But the service is not good at all. When i got there, i was not sure because the place was empty. But i trusted the great review. Few minutes later, it was full house. But we waited for 1 hour for our food, i saw the table behind us, left and right got their food first before us and.. they ordered same food like ours. We had lunch here today. We are tourists and amateur foodies and wary of trying places that have a "touristy" vibe. Our lunch did not disappoint. Our server Anna was wonderful. She was very pleasant and helpful and spoke perfect English. She recommended a lobster and pasta dish that 3 of the 4 of us had. We all loved it! Definitely not a 5 . I will give a 4. Food is solid . The people next to me got some sort of fish in a plastic bag. It was presented strangely. I guess the restaurant didn't get the memo that you can't heat up plastic because it seeps into the food . Anyway the only real complaint I had was this gal who worked there . She was just very green and said no to whatever I asked for . She said they had no hot pepper but when I asked the capable guy , I got it immediately. Get some training girl . read more

Their pastas were al dente style which I do not like but the flavor was really delicious -- fresh seafood with a light sauce that was really a great pairing! My only lunch in Rome after a whirlwind trip from north to south. Service was the only issue - it was admittedly slow, and we ended up pore paying the meal and wolfing down our main course as it took so long to come. The food was pretty good. No complaints about quality or quantity. My favorite was the pumpkin risotto, but sadly had to wolf that down in under 4 minutes. Overall I'd recommend but just beware the service is slow due to staffing shortages. Pack your patience, and don't come if you have a tight schedule. read more

I'm giving this place a 3 star because the food is very yummy, but the service is terrible. The servers are trying their best and keep apologizing about the slow services and missing items, so I feel bad slamming them. But oh man, it's like eating in place where the servers are all in training. They gave us someone else's food, and then forgot half of our orders. I practically have to serve myself at one point. But I can see that they are really doing their best as they are very short staff in the kitchen and in the restaurant. When the restaurant did not have a simple Italian Lemon Soda on hand, this exceptional man went beyond the norm and sent a colleague out to buy some for us. A ceremonious ritual that took maybe a good 15 minutes. That alone merits 5 stars in my mind. The entree was a bit too much for 2 people. I'd say ideally it's perfect for a party of 3 or 4. That's with appetizers, of course. Another shining feature was the house-made dessert. Do not skip dessert. The location is in a really nice area. I came here based on the recommendations I had seen on Yelp. Unfortunately, everyone's reviews made this place sound incredible and like it would be an amazing experience. And maybe it was because of my high expectations going in but ultimately this restaurant was fine. I don't think there was anything particularly unique or amazing that would make this restaurant standout to me, especially compared to all the other restaurants in the area. I felt like the Yelp reviews were also a little misleading because I saw that it was priced at a slightly lower level than the area restaurants, which was a reason for me to visit this place; however, the price was pretty consistent with everywhere else in the area. I'm not saying not to come to this restaurant, and I'm not saying it's bad... I just didn't have as amazing of an experience and it definitely did not merit five stars for me. read more

OMG!!! Wow just wow. Fantastic venue. My wife and I had the scallop appetizer. Clearly the best prepared scallops of our lives... Caramelized, well sauced with crispy root veggies! Yummy. The roasted pork was sublime with a perfectly orchestrated salad of arugula and julianne apples. My wife was lucky that white truffles were in season and had linguine with cream and the gods blessed fruit. Wine was very nice and reasonable. And OMG the dessert! So hard to describe in a post... pistachio cream souffle on a bed of minced strawberries and cream with a caramel nest above all along with a magnificent tiramisu! The best Tiramisu I've had. The first bite had such big impact that I wanted to visit Rome again simply because of the Tiramisu. They use cheese and egg white and sugar to make the cream-like top on the cake, following the ancient way. Also the marrowbone with mash potatoes is good. First place we visited for dinner after arriving to Rome. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and friendly and the atmosphere was romantic. Francisco was our waiter and he was so patience and incredibly sweet and professional. I liked how he let me try the wine by pouring an bit in my glass. It was a red wine and it was of good quality. After swerving the glass to infused air into the wine, I found the red wine subtle and refreshing. We started with a tuna tartare that included fresh basil and grapefruit. Then we moved on to the pulpo (octupus) serve on sautéed spinach. It was fresh and tasted subtle. In the US they would have grilled it with balsamic vinaigrette or lemon. So eating it with the spinach sauce was a different treat to my palate. We finished the meal with a pasta carbonate. The spaghetti was perfectly ardente, thicker than I'm used to but exquisite. Perfect. My travel buddy left and I was bummed to be solo today. (I'm often a solo traveller and I'm over it.) This place is A+ for solo dining! No issue sitting at a 4-top, half bottles of wine on the menu (and by the glass), and they let me sit there for 4 hours enjoying their food and reading a book! The atmosphere is calming and happy from the heat of Rome. You can be in slacks or dressed up and feel comfortable. Food is delicious! Sergio couldn't have been a better server. We randomly stumbled across this charming little restaurant while we were walking around and decided to have lunch here. The server was very patient and helpful with the menu. He came by to check on us several times during the meal to make sure everything was ok which was very thoughtful. The prawn salad was very yummy as was our pastas. Everything was seasoned very well and the sauce on my amatriciana was delicious. My only complaint would be that my bucatini was a little too al dente for my personal preference but then again I'm American so who am I to judge on pasta cooking. We went to this place based upon location and fellow Yelp reviews. That you yelpers, this place was excellent. My husband had fried artichoke hearts with ricotta cheese. I had the shrimp raviolis with orange sauce. Both were soooooo good. My son, 15 yes old, had the steak tartar. They prepared it at the table with the chef suggested ingredients so you had a choice to omit one or not. It was fabulous!!!!! Main course, we had filet mignon in 4 pepper sauce and osso Buca. The steak was perfectly prepared. The veal, believe it or not was a little tough. Dessert, had the special of tha day, chocolate mousse sort of with raspberry sauce. Yummy. I read the great reviews, and it is literally 10 meters from my hotel, so I ate there my first, jet-lagged night in Rome. I was not disappointed. At 8:30pm the restaurant was not crowded, with only a few tables filled (seemed half tourists, half Italians). The server was very kind and spoke perfect English. She recommended a half bottle of white to pair with my fried artichokes & homemade gnocchi with scampi & zucchini. I love that they have half bottles, as I am flying solo. Her recommendation was excellent, & at 12 euros I couldn't have been more pleased. The food was wonderful. The deep fried artichokes served with ricotta and pomegranate seeds were to die for. The gnocchi was tender, the veggies very fresh and flavorful, served in a broth-like sauce that was perfect for the warm weather. Was not cheap, but reasonable for the quality. Absolutely love this place. It's an elegant little restaurant with kind wait staff, delicious food, and a relaxed, jazzy atmosphere. We started with a couple oysters that were super fresh. At first they looked so plain, served with nothing but a lemon slice but these guys were bomb! We followed with the shrimp and sea bass tartare. It was very light and creamy and not overly fishy. If I could redo this lunch, I'd opt for the bread basket that is made fresh in house and comes with a medley of focaccia and other delicious carbs. My friend got the seafood pasta with housemade pasta, sea bass and clams. But my favorite was the osso buco. It doesn't photograph well, but don't be deceived. It's actually a very tasty dish, served with diced vegetables and a potato purée that marry beautifully in your mouth. Don't forget the marrow-it's the best part! Finally, we got the chocolate soufflé to share and it was perfect: a warm, gooey dark chocolate center, chocolate and lemon sauce on either side, powdered sugar and berries on top. Wow... a wonderful hole in the wall place to enjoy a truly authentic Italian dinner in Rome. The salmon salad was out of this world.... my wife had the turbot first and she loves it....
