When we walked in, the smells alone told me we were going to have a delicious meal. We carried out a couple gyro wraps and split an order of fries. The lettuce, tomato and onion in the gyro was super fresh, the pita was warm and soft, and the tzatziki sauce was on point. The portion sizes were great too, the meat and veggies literally spilling out of the pita while I was eating it. Cute little casual fast Mediterranean food restaurant in a strip in Blue Ash. Went there on a whim today for lunch. My husband wanted a gyro. It's a small restaurant that seemed to do a lot of carry out business. The dining room is on the small side but it's comfortable. Looked like a fair amount of lunch time diners. There was a cooler with bottled soda or we opted for the fountain drinks. The gyro wrap platter received a thumbs up from the husband. The lunch special included 2 sides and honestly took 2 plates to serve it. He had French fries and a Greek salad and had a lot left over! I ordered the falafel platter. The falafel was great. My sides were hummus with pita, and rice. Everything was very tasty and came served on paper plates with plastic utensils. It's counter service. It's not close to our home but worth the drive!! Customer service was great....food was great... We went on a rainy day and arrived just before the lunch rush. We were amazed how many people kept coming in. The customers were lined up all the way to the door several times....the food is just that good!!! My husband got a Gyro Wrap ($5.99). I got the Chicken Shawarma over Rice and a Greek Side Salad (7.99). We also got a Hummus Appetizer with Pita Bread ($5.99). Everything was absolutely delicious! I was volunteering in the AM so by lunch was famished and wanted something quick. It has been a bit since I had a gyro so off to Yelp to find Milya Cafe was only a few min away. Decided to check them out. Walked right in and the inside isn't huge but it's a good size with a good amount of tables. There are also two tables outside. You order directly at the counter. I had one lady in front of me but ordering was quick and easy. Got a gyro platter for $10.99 which came with two sides (I chose salad and rice). Note, meals are served on paper plates and they just put the sides on the plate then gyro meat on top. I'm totally fine with that (I mix up my food anyway) but I wish I would have realized so I could have asked for the salad on the side. It's a generous portion of food so I'd planned to take some home but salad doesn't store well. Once the food is ready they call your dish and you go up and grab it. Food came out super well. I don't think their ethnic heritage is Lebanese (I didn't ask) but didn't see any toum on the menu. With that being said the salad was super fresh and dressing was tasty. Salad was the typical Greek salad - lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, black olives and feta. Rice was yellow rice and cooked well. Nice flavor tasted like lemon was used on it. Gyro meat I prefer a bit more of the char on the outside but I came at the end of lunch rush so it was all cut off. Still super tender with good flavor. Tzatziki sauce wasn't a strong flavor but complimented the rest well. From order to eating took maybe 5 min. I got a water so with a tip ended up right around $14 and some change. Quality food, portion and price. If I lived closer I'd make this a stop for sure. Food was more 4 star but price/value and speed bumped it up to a 5. read more

This place is awesome! Even pulling up and parking is fun! I got out of my car and BAM, I am greeted by an adorable parrot. It belongs to Milya, don't touch him, just admire his beauty! Bro is just chilling out front guarding his palace. It's so cool! Inside is decorated and simple. You don't have the traditional fast food or chain restaurant decor, which is worth 20 stars right there. The employees are super friendly, the food is fast, hot and honestly... pretty freakin' good! Went here over the weekend. It is a little family owned shop, but it was a little depressing and drab on the inside. Due to this we opted for takeout instead. We ordered and waited around for a while for the food which is expected. FYI the falafel is all made fresh (what we were waiting for). A work colleague and I were trying to find somewhere to go to lunch, and since I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food, I found and suggested this place. The first thing I noticed was that the price was very low; I mean $5-7 for a meal. Some other Mediterranean restaurants I've been to have similarly low prices, so it wasn't a huge shock, but a pleasant surprise. I ordered the gyro platter with rice, and my colleague ordered the chicken platter with rice. We sat and talked, and our food came out probably ten minutes later, which was a great wait time. The platter was a sizable mound of food--definitely a great price for what ended up filling me entirely (I often eat a large portion, and I was also particularly hungry, so this was impressive). My main complaint, which was small, was that the dish itself consisted of lamb, cucumber sauce, and rice. I would have enjoyed some lettuce, tomato, onion, or other conventional Middle Eastern ingredients. That said, it was rather tasty. I'm a sucker for lamb, and I thought it was succulent, and the creamy cucumber sauce was also quite good. Neither were the best I've ever had, but certainly decent. The rice was standard. But both of us men ate our fill and got bottles of water for $15. The bottles were $1 each, but everything else was so cheap, I didn't have an issue with it. Went with a friend to try out this little Mediterranean cafe. I checked out their menu & was happy to see their prices were reasonable. My friend has never had Mediterranean so she opted for the cheeseburger - a choice she regretted because it was not that great. I ordered the gyro platter ($7.99) which came with fries & a Greek salad. My plate came out loaded with food & was delicious. I gave my friend some of my gyro meat and fries & she really liked it. She also liked the baklava ($2.50) & said it was some of the best she's ever had. The only negative was the owner's 3 year old daughter screamed & cried in the dining room for most of the hour we were there. Not exactly the way I wanted to spend my evening! This a hidden gem right off Reed Hartman between Cornell and Creek. I got this tip from a coworker and I am glad I got it. I got he gyro wrap platter (came with a Greek salad and fries...almost too much to eat...oink...but I did it). The gyro was almost as big as Chipotle burrito and weighed just as much. The gyro was a bit sloppy, but the taste was fantastic. The dressing on the salad was light and not overbearing and the fries were crispy and good. Well I'm happy that I ordered food today, because this has been the best gyro I've tasted in Ohio (so far). The meat was decent quality, nicely seasoned and cooked well. I ordered the gyro platter (you get A LOT of food (enough for two meals) for a decent price and as I am writing this I am still STUFFED, because I ate everything haha). With the platter, in addition to the gyro, you also get hot fries or rice and a delicious salad. This place met my expectations-- typically when I go into a restaurant I want a pleasant staff, cleanliness and fresh ingredients. I will definitely go back for lunch again to order the platter again or maybe something new. The menu wasn't that large, but it seemed to have a nice variety. Been open for 2 years since this posting. My buddy recommended the gyro and shawarma. I went with the Shawarma because that was what he initially recommended when he spoke of this restaurant. Very tasty and flavorful! Parts were a little dry but mostly tender and juicy. Astounding portions of meat!!! Prices absolutely reasonable. Food was fantastic! Place is fantastic. Best gyro I've had in town and at a great value too The portions are absolutely huge. Under ten bucks for a giant plate of food that tastes incredible. If you come during peak the seating can be somewhat limited and the parking lot tends to fill up quickly, but it's never been a huge issue.
