I don't usually leave reviews but this place is 10/10 they do a great job getting people seated quick

I wanted to try this location out and was lucky to get parking in the lot behind it. I got there early enough that I didn't have to wait. However, they put me in a small room to the left of the entrance all by myself with kitchen doors instead of the main room. The back servers/bussers are on it. Quick with water and coffee and very helpful. Servers were friendly but no one came to me, besides the bussers, for almost 15. I got up to get someone and someone saw me and came. Food came out quickly. Food was yummy! The biscuit was so good! Though I wish hash browns were available all week long. It started filling up and by the time I was done the place had no empty seat. Tables are close together. I did notice another table next to me had only sat for maybe a minute or two and multiple servers came by trying to get their order after they just told the other they were looking at the menu. It was one extreme (me waiting) to another. I get it's a busy place during peak times but sesh. Either way, overall was great and I definitely prefer this location than sunset for the parking and the ability to use waitlist. read more

We came here for brunch on a Saturday and it was very busy! The place gets packed and a little rowdy. Even though they were very busy, service was really quick and helpful! Food came in quickly as well! We got the Eleanore r. Special and the blue berry French toast! I'm biased but the French toast was amazingly good! Would totally come here again just for that! Millie's Café is always busy, so we joined the Yelp waitlist around 11am while driving over and were seated by about 11:45am. One of the highlights is that they offer a full vegan menu, which makes it easy if you are dining with different dietary preferences. My partner got the breakfast burrito with tater tots, eggs, avocado, and a sausage link. I ordered the Vegan Usual which comes with blueberry pancakes, vegan eggs, potatoes, and one vegan sausage link. The food came out very quickly and everything tasted great. We sat outside and the area is nice, but the street is on a hill so the tables are slightly slanted. One utensil set had some leftover sauce on it, but the staff replaced it right away. The service can feel a little pushy since there is always a wait, but they keep things moving. Street parking was not too hard to find and overall we had a great meal with plenty of choices. Millie's Cafe is a local breakfast spot with locations in Pasadena and Silverlake. This location in Pasadena has parking in the rear. We stopped by on a Monday morning with a party of six and were seated immediately. There were already a good amount of people eating right after opening. I ordered the famous breakfast burrito ($18) which had everything that I liked and none of the filler stuff I didn't like. It had eggs, avocado, tater tots, cheese, and my choice of meat. The tater tots were crispy and there were good portions of the meat. I liked drenching the salsa on top of the burrito; it was really satisfying and hit the spot after a good workout. I also ordered the iced coffee which was standard. I was also told that their chilaquiles were really good so I'll have to try those next time. Millie's Cafe is a staple brunch place that can be relied on for their many options and fast service. On weekends, there could be a wait so I recommend getting there early. They have outdoor seating but it's on the sidewalk. Depending on where you sit, the sun might be directly on your face. Whenever my girlfirends and I go, we always ask to be seated inside and it's worth waiting longer to be seated inside most of the time. Our favorite food items to get are the pancakes. The Monkey Banana Pancake is our top choice, followed by the Lemon Ricotta pancakes. When I am craving protein, I get the chilaquiles. The portions are generous and they only do hashbrowns on weekends. Only some menu items come with the potatoes. I am not a fan of their fries - the fries are always too soft for my liking. The coffee, while unlimited, tends to be watered down. If you want to get stronger coffee, I would recommend getting one of their signature lattes. The environment could get loud because the room echoes. There are only two bathrooms in the back. Street parking so expect to park a little further down the residential areas but it's never too bad. read more

Whenever I am craving pancakes Millie's is my go to! Being dairy free, but not vegan is made simple at Millie's because they allow me to mix and match vegan pancakes with the eggs and meat breakfast combos if I wish. Same thing with the chilaquiles, I can swap the dairy for vegan cheese and vegan sour cream but still have real eggs on them. It's the best of both worlds. Millie's does get very busy so I recommend getting there early. They have outdoor seating, but it's on the sidewalk. We had direct sunlight on us part of the time and the service was spotty. New favorite brunch spot!! We came in on a Tuesday morning and got seated right away. We ordered the Famous Breakfast Burrito, Chicken & Waffles Egg Benedict, Lemon Ricotta Pancake, and Strawberry Banana Nutella French Toast. The star of the show was the Chicken & Waffles Egg Benedict, which we give a 5/5. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the chicken was crispy and not too dry, and the waffle was soft and fluffy. The side of rosemary potatoes paired perfectly with the egg benedict. I added a drizzle of maple syrup on top of the chicken and waffles and that was the cherry on top. My second favorite item was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. They were light, fluffy, and moist, with just the perfect amount of lemon flavor. I didn't feel it needed any additional glaze as the maple syrup was just enough. I loved how unique the flavor of these pancakes were and would definitely order again. The breakfast burrito was really satisfying. I felt it tasted a little plain, so I wish they had more sauce choices. I was least impressed with the French Toast -- the bread was kind of doughy and it lacked the vanilla and cinnamon flavors of a French toast that I like. Not the worst French toast, I just wouldn't order it again. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend this spot to others. I'm usually picky with brunch spots as I feel a lot of brunch foods can taste the same, but Millie's was very memorable! The service was great, friendly, and very attentive. Ordered the World famous burrito, they should call it the world's blandest burrito costing $22.50, the Eleanor R special, the forage omelette each for around $19 each and an iced latte. Everything here is bland and over priced. I can't believe the amount of people that come here to eat. I thought at least the rosemary potatoes would have some kick but alas they were extra bland as well. The service was very fast and attentive. As for the Latte drink. It was the blandest worst Latte I've ever come across. I might have had some coffee in it but leaned more towards a milky flavor. I will not be back, ever. We've come here at least a couple of times now. I love how they have many vegan items (a separate vegan menu, actually). The most recent time I've gone, we ordered the V-Famous Breakfast Burrito (with the tater tots on the side instead of in the burrito, per my request) and V-Huevos a la Mexicana. I also got a fresh coconut water and I was able to scoop out the coconut meat afterwards too. Everything tasted great and even though the place was busy, like they usually are, the food came out at a good time. The service in general was great-very attentive, friendly, and efficient. We sat outside, which was nice, but another time we've gone, we sat inside. This place isn't the cheapest, but the prices aren't anything outrageous, especially considering how expensive everything is in general. This small spot looks unassuming, but it is a gem! Despite them being busy, my husband and I were able to get a seat right away. They have indoor and outdoor dining. We went for brunch Saturday and it was hopping. The menu is truly large with something for everyone including a great selection of vegan and non vegan options. Multiple non dairy and dairy milk was available as well as veggie patty "sausage" and sourdough. I had a pistachio iced latte with oat milk and half order of Nutella strawberry and banana French toast. My husband got California eggs Benedict. I can't believe I didn't hear of Millie's sooner. I grabbed brunch with my friends here and the entire experience couldn't have been better. It was packed with a 20 minute queue to be seated but once seated service was incredibly fast, starting from order through bill. I tried a buckwheat pancake and got the vegan BLT with sweet potato fries. The buckwheat pancake was amazing: light and not sweet at all. I'd never tried bacon tempeh but I'm a fan now. The sandwich spread was the perfect flavor combo to the tempeh/lettuce/tomato. With the fries as the perfect complement, the meal totally hit the spot. Staff were friendly and helpful. I really liked the cafe location and vibe as well. Prices were very fair for the portions served. And, it was amazing to have a separate vegan menu with enough options that it made choosing hard. I was visiting from out of town and Millie's was within walking distance from where I was staying. I looked up the menu before I went, which I highly recommend because their menu is extensive! The lemon ricotta pancakes caught my eye, and they were the star of my breakfast plate. I ordered the Usual Breakfast, which in itself was good meal, with the chicken apple sausage, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. Very large meal for me, but I ate most of it. The food was good enough that I'd go back... maybe even get those pancakes again! Even midweek, they were busy. Service was nothing spectacular, but it was efficient. It was very noisy indoors, so the outdoor seating on the street was good enough for me. It felt a little like being in a Parisian street café. I was craving a country fried chicken breakfast and a rainy day seem like the perfect day for it. The staff was very friendly and attentive and quick to take care of us. The menu said that the country fried chicken was "Texas sized". I'm not so sure about that claim, however, it doesn't take away from the fact that it was delicious.
