We've been customers with Miller's since we bought our house in 2020 and just canceled our service contract with them today. Over the past several years the service techs have become increasingly uncaring and generally seem to have the goal just to push selling a new heating and air conditioning unit. Both our units are older but have never given us any issues, however a tech we had out last week spent very little time "servicing" them before letting us know they were in need of replacement. The most concerning thing was he stated the unit was leaking CO, however he couldn't give us details about where that issue might stem from. He stated a sales rep would call the same day but we still have not received a call. We decided to have another company come out for a 2nd opinion and to service our units and they spent 2 hours going over everything and in the end let us know everything is in working order and doesn't need replacement. The tech also did not find any signs of CO leakage. Since our units are close to 30 years old he did agree we should be saving for replacement in the future but it wasn't urgent. read more

Our unit installed on 12/08/2023 was repaired on 7/18/2024 after I posted several 1 star reviews and complaints on social media. Their new manager, Michael called that same day (7/11) with sincere apologies and the promise to fix the problem. He stayed in contact and even arranged a backup in case the first arrangement didn't work. There was never a public reply or any answer to the complaint filed with the BBB but we will continue to work with Miller's and hope that service going forward is as good as the service that lead us to hire them for this installation. read more

When I bought my house about 5,6 years ago. I was lied to about it having an air conditioner. Called Miller and the verified I did not have one.They reccomended a Amana heat pump to solve my problems. So I purchased the heat pump and all seem to go well. Next years summer came and all I got was warm air. Under warranty, they came out and fixed the problem citing thermostat, tio air flow. I'll try not to make this too long , so to sum it up. Now out of warranty, EVERY SUMMER the unit freezes, and I get warm air. I call them out. They hook up their meter reader. Spray water on the coils and say all is good. $150.00. 2 weeks later. SAME THING. the unit freezes. I go out and spray the coils and nothing happens. Clean filter, no filters. They can't blame air restriction. It's not until they come out again, that it works, doing the same procedure as before and another $150.00 to come out. Winter is no different. The unit won't warm up until they come out and do pretty much nothing except charge me to come out. Why not fix it so it last through out summer and winter. Then when it really needs a part or something serious , I won't feel bad paying up money for something. It's 8/27/2025 and the unit is froze up again. I'm, hoping to be able to handle the heat that is coming to avoid another useless service call and fee. What a joke. read more

Miller Heating installed a new heat pump for us last week. On a scale of 1-10 I would give them a 20! They were very professional, courteous, on time and even called ahead to give us an ETA. First off the tech was great 5 stars for him. The problem: was told on the phone that the service call would cost $99 (1st time.customer tune up) we said ok. The tech came out, spent about 2 hours to tell us that we need maintenance and our refrigerant level adjusted. No actual work was performed, no tune up ect. Ended up costing us $600 which is 10% of the cost of the entire unit just to tell us we need another tech to come do maintenance. Biggest bait and switch ive experienced in a long time. The person on the phone is misleading and doesn't tell you that the tech is going to charge you an hourly rate on top of the $99 just to drive to your house fee. Expect to pay at least $225 per hour on top of any initial fees , what a joke. read more

Our AC unit stopped working last Wednesday. Thomas from Miller's Heating & Air came out on Thursday for a diagnosis and replacement estimate. We paid $99. He tested the fuses (one of which we now know had blown) but said they were fine. He then continued to work around with wires, removing the connection piece on the wire of our air compressor. He then turned our breaker off and told us that we needed a new air compressor and it was likely worth replacing the entire unit. He sent a second employee named Leon out to give us an estimate- even though we already had paid $99 for an estimate with Thomas and confirmed with company that Thomas would be able to give us both a diagnosis AND estimate. Leon came out on Friday and "confirmed" we needed a new AC unit/furnace. Leon did not look at the fuses or disconnected wires. After feeling uneasy about how things were handled, we had a second company come out to get another quote. The first thing the new company did was check the fuses and notice one was out. They also noticed that our breaker had been turned off. After replacing the fuses, they noticed things still weren't working, so opened up the unit to find the disconnected wires. They assured us that these wires don't just pop out, but one was actually missing the connector piece it needs to function. He reconnected and within a matter of 30 minutes had our AC Unit working again. We feel so hurt and taken advantage of, as we were about to pay $18,000 to Miller's Heating & Air, under the impression that it was absolutely necessary for the safety and comfort of our home. Never will we recommend Miller's Heating & Air, please be cautious and get multiple quotes!! read more

He was polite and informative, and his knowledge of the equipment involved gave me confidence in his work. He provided multiple clear pictures of pertinent items and went above and beyond what we expected him to do. In April 2023, when my system was being serviced, I pre-paid approximately $500 for duct cleaning work - ducts in my house have never been cleaned. The tech promised I'd hear within a day for scheduling. Three days later, I called Miller's Heating to schedule the appointment. And I commented that I was told I would be called, I was not happy having to do so. I scheduled the duct cleaning for a planned vacation to avoid disrupting work. 4 business days before this appointment, I was called and told I'd have to move the appointment as "we promoted a technician." Hmmm... On the new cleaning day, my ductwork collapsed. It is not clear who is responsible for the collapsed ductwork, some online sources state that over-aggressive cleaning methods can collapse flex duct. So duct cleaning turned into duct replacement. Things have gone off the rails from there. First, the tech failed to measure registers (the inlet and outlet covers on the ductwork), requiring a return trip - and another disruption to my work schedule - before flex duct and transition parts could be ordered. Then, the crew showed up with no notice or confirmation on July 6th. I have no voice messages and no Caller ID records indicating any phone call was placed to my home phone, and I think it's very poor form to not make voice contact and confirm that a particular day or time is OK. Work did not get completed on July 6th, one of the workers injured himself after disconnecting several ducts from registers - effectively disabling our HVAC system. The crew promised they would be back the next day, and the crew was going to leave ductwork disconnected and my HVAC system disabled. Fortunately, my spouse was smart and told the work crew to reconnect everything before they left. And it's a good thing she did. When their scheduling people called us the afternoon of July 6th, told us the first available appointment was July 12th. We were supposed to see the work crew "between 8 and noon." Nobody showed up on July 12th. We were working from home all day. No phone calls informing us that the crew would not be coming. Once again, no voice messages and no Caller ID records. Two business days have passed. Nobody from Miller's Heating has bothered to call about this incomplete job. If my spouse hadn't required ductwork to be reconnected on July 6th, we would have no functional HVAC system. I'm legitimately concerned about continuing to do business with this company. At this point, I'm not willing to let them anywhere near my system, despite their rating with Lennox as one of the best HVAC contractors. At this point, I am pretty sure I'll never get a refund of what I paid for this work to be done. I have also filed a one-star rating with the Better Business Bureau. read more

No star review! Absolutely the worst! After seven years as a loyal customer we could not believe they way they treated us. Two weeks ago during the winter storm we learned that our HVAC needed a new motor. After chasing Miller to learn the status of the motor, the Miller's technician ame four days after the initial visit and installed a new motor, but it would not work. He claimed that the HVAC (from 2006) was obsolete and that we needed to talk to their sale's rep. The sale's rep quoted us a $12k unit (pretense that the 2017 AC would not be compatible with a new HVAC. My husband grew suspicious and contacted a different firm. This firm arrived right away. They felt bad that we had not had heat for a full week! After a couple minutes the HVAC was running. The technician said that the motor was wired incorrectly. Don't get me started with their horrible customer service. Stay away from this company! There are plenty others in the area. read more

Woke up this morning without heat. Our, less than 2 year old Lenox, was not working. The Ecobee thermostat was offline. Made two emergency calls with no response. Called first thing during business hours and was told there were a lot of calls due to the weather and they would get back to us. Waited four hours for a return call, didn't happen. Called again and was told we were tenth in line to schedule an appointment. When they did call, we were told their first available appointment was Jan 4th! Called All Seasons Heating and Cooling and they were here in two hours. Took them 3 seconds to identify the problem and less than a half hour to fix it. We are now comfortably warm thanks to All Seasons. read more

It is now April and they only have sent an email or two too assure us that they are trying to schedule our duct seal and insulate job. We had decided to get the 'package' for service to the heat pump and furnace as well. So not a big job - but not chump change either. But no consistent contact. No schedule. Nothing. So they made it really easy to move on from whatever it is that they offer. We would never want to be hung out like this if we really needed a tech for HVAC. The initial contact was good enough - but they have zero follow through and have shown that they lack good internal communication. Give these folks a pass unless you have unlimited time and no desire to complete your project. read more

Too busy for good customer service! I bought a home 3 years ago with a 6 year old heating/air conditioning system. My AC quit working during the last heat wave and I had to wait 2 weeks for a service call. When they showed up yesterday I was informed that the 10 year warranty was only valid for the original purchaser, not the home. They didn't have parts in stock to fix the unit they sold and I was informed it would take 2 more weeks before they could fix it. I asked for an appointment to look at a new system and they are booked 10 days out. I called Percision Air the next morning and they came out same day, provided several options and I bought a new Carrier dual stage system with air filtration. It will be installed in 3 days. That is why Percsion Air has a 5 star rating! read more

Millers installed a Lennox high efficiency gas furnace in my home. The first problem was a corrupted display on the LCD thermostat. They came and replaced it in a day or so, but they should've seen that it was corrupted when they installed it. The big problem came later. It seems Millers didn't properly tighten some compression seals, which was causing condensation to leak onto the internal components, rusting them and my garage floor. On the coldest day of the year, the furnace quit working with a "low pressure valve failed open" error. It seems that the leak short circuited two valve switches. We turned the furnace off for a few hours, which dried up the leak and allowed it to continue working. I called Millers that day and scheduled an emergency service, but they never showed up or called. Millers has a terrible one year warranty. The problem started 13 months after install. I figured why call these bozos out again, so I called another company who came out and promptly fixed it. I see Millers trucks in my neighborhood from time to time. A good sign? I don't think so. They're probably out trying to fix their own screwups. read more

Called for information, had someone come out two days after the original time / date agreed upon. Mind you, we are without AC during this time period (they forgot about us). Before deciding on fix, we wanted to discuss a new system. Owner was extremely nice, bought new system. Waited a few days for them to get what we wanted (not their issue, but again, it was hot). Installation day: extra holes in the walls to patch, extra holes in siding to patch. Month later have to come back because a sensor is not working. 2 months later there is a leak. I had a bad experience with another HVAC company in Vancouver, so I went looking for a company to replace my broken down heat pump system. I found Miller's Heating and I could not be happier with the service and the system they installed. I called Miller's Heating on Tuesday after the flubbed service call by the local Trane dealer. Miller's Heating had their comfort advisor out the next day. They not only provided me a price on a new system, they also provided me a price on repairing my 12 year old system. I elected to get a new Lennox system and signed the contract on the spot. They had an opening in their installation schedule for the next day which I was very glad to get since my system was completely down. The next morning the installation team showed up right on schedule. They laid down protective drop cloths to protect my carpet, removed the old system and installed the new one. They showed me how to operate and program my system and even hosed down my outside patio to clean up the muddy footprint from installing my outside unit. My experience was fantastic. They did excellent work and I highly recommend them if you are needing a new heat pump system. read more

What a wonderful company!!! From the time James Bizzell came out to give me an estimate, to the finish of the installation, there were absolutely no problems, Matt, Chris and Oleg were a joy to work with. Thomas came to clean my air ducts and did a wonderful job. Everyone in Milller's Customer Service and Accounting departments were extremely accommodating, kind and offered great customer Service. As far as getting estimates, the other companies who came out spent no more than 15 minutes, looking only at the current AC, the breaker box and the furnace. James spent over an hour, measuring every door and window, checking the insulation in the walls and floor, even going into the attic. This way he could recommend the correct AC unit for my home. No one else did this. I can't say enough good things about Miller's and I would highly recommend them to all!!!! read more

Zero stars. Made an appointment to service my air conditioner/heat pump which is working fine. Was told being first time appointment the service is $99.00. I emptied out my garage in the heat to make it easy for tech to access. Tech arrived and first thing out of his mouth was I heard you are interested in some annual service package. I said No. I never discussed this with anyone. Then the next thing out of his mouth was the service for today is $200 instead of the $99 because I have 2 units. Air and heat. I told him this was not the quote that was given to me and told hm to leave. I immediately called Miller and was told they would look into it. Had to move everything back into my garage in the heat of the day. Do NOT use this company. Wasted my time and the absolute worst customer service! Ridiculous. read more

We all know about rating systems: 1 to 5 with 5 being Excellent. The Miller teams are rated a 6+. If on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being Excellent, the team rates a 12. Our home is 50+ years old and we were running such high electricity bills, that Clark PUD contacted me to see what was going on and if we needed a "walk-thru" to conduct an energy audit. Before I agreed, I did a little checking myself, opening up access door to the crawl space under the main floor and found that more heat was being vented into the crawl space than was coming out the floor registers. I contacted Miller and they found that some ducting was loose and that all of the old "cheesecloth ducting" had holes/leaks and were in terrible condition. At the same time my 20 year old furnace/heat pump was on its last horizon. So they provided me a VERY REASONABLE/acceptable price quotation to replace all the ducts, heat pump and furnace. In the middle of the duct install, they said that the return ducts were in need of replacement. That was missed in the original inspection due to the fact that some 25% had been replaced before and the rest needed to be replaced. The opportunity to "work the quote" was the furthest from the teams mind and for a small increase in total cost, the rest of the return ducts were replaced . My hats off to Dave Adams, owner of Miller's Heating & Air as his crew were the most courteous and professional group(s) of HVAC workers I have ever experienced. Each day, for the 3 days to complete the tasks, I would get a text & email stating that Luciano, Cory, Andrew, Avery or Cooper would be on their way with their picture ID in the message. A feeling of security & professionalism was behind these daily messages. The decorum of the workers, their punctuality, the daily clean up and removal of all the old ducts and heating equipment was immediate and the dust/dirt was kept to a minimum throughout the whole house. Sorry to give such a low review but be warned to be very careful where you let them place the outdoor unit. We had our second unit installed a year ago and while it is working just fine the condensation and water running off it is ruining our storage shed in our carport yes they installed it inside the carport directly across from the enclosed storage shed and it is causing a mold problem in the storage room and we also find out we can not enclose the carport like we planned unless it is moved so in order to alleviate the problem they caused they now want 700 more dollars to move it. We are very pleased with Miller Heating & Cooling. They recently installed a split heat pump system for our home. Brian, the salesman, was with us every step of the way. He was not pushy, answered many many questions, worked patiently with us problem solving, & followed up after the sale with a home visit. The Miller installer & his crew are the best, caring for & respecting our needs. Our friends, that have single split heat pump units, say they wished they had more than one head. That one inside unit isn't adequate when the weather is really cold or hot hot. We installed a whole house system. It includes 5 indoor heat/cool units that will make it possible to shut doors for privacy & still maintain comfortable temperatures in all the living spaces at the same time. We called Miller's One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning in July 2013 when our air conditioner wasn't cooling properly. The cost totaled $1,258.50, which included purchasing their preventative maintenance plan for one year. We were told the unit would be checked twice on the service plan--once in October, and once in the spring, and they would contact us to schedule the appointments. No one contacted us, so we called them in May and asked why no one had called us. We were told our service plan "had fallen through the cracks." A tech came out after we called them and serviced the unit, and tried to collect another year's payment to re-up the service plan that hadn't even expired yet. We received one service check instead of two, and they have been sending us bills, including a "Reminder" since the tech was here in March. Really??? We don't owe your company anything, and feel we got ripped off on the last service plan. This company is way too eager to "up-sale," and they don't follow through with what they tell you they will do. Burn me once...I'm not purchasing your preventative service plan again. read more

Our HVAC system in our 30 year old home failed recently. We began researching, getting quotes and trying to decide what the best way was for us to go. There was a large range of prices and systems and also company personalities. During this search we also found out I had lung disease and would need surgery very soon. After speaking with Miller's we found that while they weren't the cheapest, they were the best fit for us and our changing situation. They were able to schedule a more timely install, and worked diligently to be sure they had everything they needed to make it as smooth as possible. The day of install, the team was there on time and worked very hard all day to get it done. I should note it was one of the hottest days we have had all summer. Immediately after install I went into surgery. I was able to come home to a cool environment with the cleanest air ever.
