He told me the car had all the bells and whistles but he lied. It didn't have an in car navigation system just apple play and android hook up. Further, the car had a huge chip in the pain which was right under the license plate which was blazingly obvious and when he put on my plates you couldn't help but see it immediately. Then 1 week after they agreed to fix it (they called it a "courtesy" when his salesperson deliberately HID the defect from me so he could get his sales quota for the month) the entire electric system went out. I get in my car after getting it back and my phone died and I got lost. With a dead phone, I was completely lost because it turned out there is NO internal navigation system in the car so when your phone dies or you have no service you're out of luck. Realising this I called very upset, in tears, and this Manager MIKE takes an attitude with me. I called him rude and he got so angry he hung up the phone. I didn't curse or yell, in fact I was in tears most of the call. I call back to hear a nicer manager say "you're out of luck" in a nicer tone . I have a list... the customer service, lack of status or information from advisors at front, delays in communication from front desk to mechanics, reluctancy to communicate with customers (or maybe just a personnel thing). The aesthetics of the place is not welcoming, it's dark needs lighting, the place is small and just a bit par of cleanliness. It's tightly packed where not all standing room is applicable, amenities are shoved into a corner where it can't be accessed if someone isn't sitting in the way. I tried this place because it's closer than traveling to Valley Stream. I am never coming back here. The address isn't correct given on the appointment confirmation. I ended up going to the wrong location when the Hyundai service was not where it says it was. It's actually on a side back street. I was told I'd have my car back in 2.5 hours still waiting 4 hours later and still no car. I declined an overpriced service and was told I'd have my car back in 20-25. The advisor stepped out to lunch never passed on the communication and had to plans of following up even when I came to check in with him. I could've been passed 100x if I didn't check in with him on my own. The service is despicable. Everything convenient isn't always the best. I will go elsewhere or go back to South Shore where everyone is knowledge about your service rather than mechanics you don't have the opportunity to speak with it. I came to Millenium Hyundai because when I was with my ex-boyfriend I was looking for a bigger car besides my sedan to help him tote around his drums when he performed and I could be with him. I was also looking for the cheapest car payment possible with no money down for the car because I had no money to put down. Robert Figuera (I might have spelled his last name wrong) helped me with that. He showed me the Tucson, he showed me a brand new one but I couldn't afford those payments. So he found me a 2019 white one and the payments were still more than I had hoped to make but something I could manage. I love my Tucson. I won't be helping my ex with his gigs anymore but my son loves the extra space and I love the comfort it provides for my passengers because I end up driving around a lot of people and I end up driving a lot on my own with uber runs to deliver food and just because if I've got time I'll take a drive out to greenport or the hamptons or montauk and think nothing of it. Awful experience with this dealer, stay far away if trying to buy a car. Tried to buy an loniq 5 from them 3 months ago, ended up not buying due to hearing about their shady finance department. Fast forward to now, and I see a sales manager posting that they have an Ioniq 5 available with a $5000 markup. I believe these practices are unethical, and said on their post how it makes sense to go around the corner to a competing Hyundai dealer to get one for MSRP instead. They then proceeded to tell lies about said dealer which are the furthest thing from the truth, then insinuated I couldn't afford an Ioniq 5 and that it was "my moms car". Frustrating and difficult experience with Millenium Hyundai service department on more than one occassion. Anyone with a legitimate negative experience should consider writing to the Attorney General of New York State (NYS). I believe the dealership's behavior is part of a pattern of unethical or potentially unlawful conduct. Service department is run unprofessionaly, inept, and lacking in customer service skills. Understaffed and inexperienced service advise. Even at 7:00 a.m in the morning it takes the advisor over 45 minutes to check you in for a simple oil change. Each time I go there they attempt to charge me out of pocket for services covered under the warranty by stating the car is 2nd owner. My car is a lease from right off the showroom. No 2nd ownership. I have the car 3 weeks and love it!! I was treated very nicely by Brianna, Vincient and the finance person I had questions after taking possession of the car and even another sales person ( who owns an Elantra) helped me with a smile on his face. Never trust any car salesman!!! I typically leased cars and in the past through leasing brokers that would give you numbers and you had time to think and make a decisions. Another way I would purchase the car in full. Sadly, the car I was looking for which, is not a exotic or a hyper car. Was the nline - so the brokers told me to go directly to a dealership. Which I did. I was working with Erick and I told him right off the bat that I never worked with a dealership so hopefully this would be a pleasant experience and hoping I won't be getting crewed here. He told me I will be transparent with you. False! I came here and traded my car where they gave me a few grand less than I was expecting. He told me we can get you another grand here and ran some numbers. Once we decided to pull the trigger he went to get the car ready. Which is great that he is going out of his way to provide service. Erick told me that you'll be out of here in a few hours. At 1245ish. They make you sign some papers just to get the process started. They swapped my insurance and the waiting game began. As I'm trying to reach Erick to see what's taking so long. His phone was supposedly dead. Bs! It's was around 515. The dealership is closed at that time on Sunday and of course. I am exhausted and want to leave. Push comes to shove. As I'm signing the final paperwork what my payments are, how much I got for my car and residual value. They way off! The only thing is in point is my monthly payments we agreed on. Called Erick again. Goes straight to vm. I was so exhausted and wanted to leave. I should've just told them get a hold of him and fix this or reverse everything back the way it was. By the time I got my car and plates were swapped. It was almost 6 pm. I feel like I really got screwed on my trade and they know these sales tactics. They disappeared on purpose and don't show up. Because the deal was too good for them. FOR ALL THAT ARE BUYING OR LEASING FROM HERE - low ball them as much as you can for down payments and Monthly payments. See what they come back with. If it doesn't work-run! Before you proceed with anything. Have your salesperson or whoever is in charge to give you the rundown of what your actually negotiated payments/trade is, have it in writing and then let them go wherever they want. Make sure whatever they quoted you matches to what they wrote on the paper that they have to bring back from their "boss". This was a pricy lesson on my end. Do not pull the trigger the same day. Come back the next day where you can see all paperwork up front and see the car as well. I still have some marks from the adhesive plastics on my car that I have to get it corrected by a detail shop. I didn't see anything, Since by the time they brought out the car it was dark. I just got in and left. Additionally, they had to walk me though all the features that the car offers and everything I'm the infotainment system. (As multiple people I spoke with that bought and leased cars directly from Toyota, Lexus, Cadillac and Chevy went through). Mine was more of swap the late enjoy the car. (I did get a free fill up which didn't justify the experience). DO NOT RUSH!!! Sales reps do not give a **** about you. Thus, you shouldn't give a **** about them as well! Review Title: Warning - not trustworthy sales staff On September 12 my husband and I visited Millennium Hyundai to look at vehicles to lease. We worked with Trevor as our sales associate. We took a test drive. It had all the expected standards for a modern vehicle including SiriusXM, keyless start, remote start and a good backup camera. I expressed multiple times very clearly, that I wanted, at minimum, a vehicle that had Sirius XM and a remote start. I was willing to compromise on some higher end features to get those two things. After being assured by Trevor that the vehicle we leased had those things we decided to lease a Santa Fe. We picked up the new car on September 19. We were told it didn't have a remote start, but that they would install one for us. We bring the car home only to find out in addition to no remote start, no technology to access Sirius XM, a key ignition and an inferior backup camera. We got the classic bait and switch. We were lied to. I understand my responsibility to read the amenities included in the car but after 6.5 hours in total at the dealership and being reassured by Trevor that my minimum requests were met we committed to the vehicle. I took the automated survey on 9/21 in which I expressed my concerns over the lies and misleading experience. After not hearing back I called Trevor on 9/25 and was assured Vinny the GM would call me back to discuss further. Well, here we are on October 2 still without a call back from the dealership and no installation of the remote start.   I am confident we were taken advantage of because of our age, only further proved by their unwillingness to return my calls and emails expressing my concerns. Clearly they know they were wrong and are not capable of admitting that they've been caught. I came to this dealership for a pacific car which was a 2022 Hyundai Sanota Limited with only 7,000 miles on the dash. I had a plan to come with a larger down payment so i could get better rates and low payments (20k down). After finding out that the car driver side mirror was broke, the used car manager the window which took 2 days. I came back to the dealership on December 8th, 2023 to purchase the vehicle around 5:30pm. After i have been trying days to findout how much in needed to finance to get my car and they keep making excuses. I should of knew better from there on what type of people i am dealing with, especially the finance department. I was lied to over and over about what i needed to do to secure the vehicle and what was said to me that the bank whats to know that i could take care of any mechanical problems if accured in the future. Mind you i am putting 20k down on a $27,500 car, so the bank shouldnt worried about payments or anything because of the equity i am investing in the car with 20k. Tom from finance was playing number games with me for hours and lying to me so i could get coverage on the vehicle to secure the loan. It even went to the extent that the finance department manager came in after i said i want to sleep on the loan they was telling i needed to finance which was $15,300 to including the warranty coverage. The manager told me that the cars manufacturer warranties do not transfer to the second owner, which is a lie. Its going on 8pm and we still haven't come to an agreement and i started to feel sick because of my medical reasons so i wanted to get out of there. We came up with 13,800 which sould better but i knew they was trying to get over on me but i had my 6 years old and 1 year old daughter with me so i said ok. I get home and look at the sales itemized sheet which tells you everything you paid for and seen that the charged me an extra $3500 + taxes on coverage that i already had from the manufacturer plus the car Certified pre-owned car. Mind you that it was around 9:20pm when i got home so it was dark. I woke up the following day just to see that it was damaged to the front passager side door. It like like some hit the car with something and i park my car in the driveway. I called up Abdullah, used car sell manager and told him about it. Now i have to deop my car off for a day just for them to fix this problem. So far Abdullah is doing the right thing but the finance department has now care in the world, as long as they make their money with this COVERAGE that was force on me under the pressure of me not being able to get my car. FYI Manufacturer warranties are on the car not the owners so evwrything applies as if you brought your car new depending on the Miles. This been an eventful experience that is not over yet. Friday i take my car to drop off for a day. They don't even have any loaner cars which they should had provided because new york state has its own warranty disclosure. Stay away from them at all costs. Here is why: I brought my car here a while back for repair on a ticking sound in the engine. The car was there for days without being looked at. After many lies and excuses, I took the car back and gave them a bad review. The manager called me right away and said bring it back we'll take care of everything just take down that review and give us a good one. The next day he called and said the car was hooked up for diagnosis and everything was up to specs. He said I just needed to warm up the car in the morning. The problem persisted and recently took the car elsewhere to find out it was issues with the timing chain. Since the car was under warranty it's obvious that millennium did not want bother. Valet Mode; This feature doesn't work as described in the " My Hyundai App". The app said that it can be turned on and off from the app. After three months of arguing that I misread the app, they finally 'FIXED" the problem. They changed the wording to say that It cannot be turned on from the app. The forgot to change the wording in another paragraph that says that it can be turned on from the app only with select vehicles. They ell me that I have the latest vehicle and therefore it is a "supported vehicle". After two months of wanting to know why I can't turn it on if my vehicle is a "supported vehicle". After many calls and never coming up with a way of fixing the app, a supervisor said let me take a look to see if your vehicle is supported. He comes back to the phone and tells me that he cannot find anything in Writing that says that me vehicle is a "supported vehicle". 5 weeks later they still don't know if I have a supported vehicle. If I call more often, I know what they will tell me. They will tell me that my vehicle is NOT supported. How's that for customer service Navigation: The navigation does not say when hook arrive at your destination if it's on the left or the right. This is very important especially in City driving. If your three lanes over on the wr.ong side, then you have to go around the block to make sure ,your on the right side of the Avenue. The service manager at MillEnnius tells me that he never realized the a GPS does that. I have owned cars more years than I would like to count and every GPS (navigation), weather it was hand held, after market or factory installed, all said you have arrive at your destination on the left or right. MPH". Before the last upgrade, I had an icon (MPH) in dthe uppr left hand corner of dthe navigation. This is a very useful especially in the city where speed zones change so drastically fast. They can. Go from 20 to 25 or 35 MPH. That has disappeared. I asked and they said with the upgrade they removed it. They actually thought they could say whatever would suit them and not hear from me again. What I didn't tell them is that it appears and disappears just as quick The moral of this story is if you can't fix the problem just remove the feature and the customer should be satisfied with their stupidity. The General Manager at Millennium Hyundai, Ravel Mejia, tells me that because not to many people have complained about these issues, that BlueLink will not follow up. I always was under the impression that if you purchased and fully. Paid for something, the company that you purchased that item from was liable and must fix it. This has been going on for 10 months. I am beginning to loose my patience. Today, Ravel had scheduled a telephone appointment with me. This was suppose to be a three way conversation with someone in California. The appointment was set up for 12:00 pm. Needless to say I did not get the call and when I called I was told that he is in a meeting. I called several times afterwards and vaguely mentioned what I wanted to talk to him. About. Four calls later and his excuse changed from meeting to he is speaking with Hyundai and finally she tells me that he will email me. I asked if he was afraid to speak with me on the phone. We went to Millenium Hyundai on Sunday, and worked with Omari Strickland on test driving the new Palisade. Car sales guys these days seem to not study their vehicles at all, and I've noticed that they struggle to answer even the most basic questions about the cars they sell. What is up with that? Omari wasn't in that category, and he was able to competently answer basic questions about the model and give us a pretty good summary of the vehicle, the trims, the features, etc. The test drive was pleasant and useful, and we both felt good about working with Omari. If you come to this dealership, I would feel comfortable saying you could do much worse. Once we got back to the dealer, he went to get me some numbers, and he came back with a bad offer - I think it was somewhere in the $3-5K down with about $650/month. I don't remember exact numbers, but was something laughable (in comparison, a BMW X5 we test drove was being offered at about $100 more per month hahaha). I told him the numbers weren't even close, and Omari went back to his manager after asking us for numbers that would work for us. Here is where the problem started. Up to this point, the customer service experience I'd had up to that point was above expectations. When Omari went and brought his sales manager back is when it went from a 4 star experience to a 1 star experience. The general sales manager was your typical greasy car salesman - patronizing, thinks he's just oh-so-slick, etc. He irked me in general initially and then later pissed me off specifically when he asked me my thoughts on the car, and I told him honestly that the car was beautiful, features were great, power was okay, but that the handling was not as good as I would've liked. This guy responds along the lines of "Hm. I appreciate your thoughts, but Car and Driver wouldn't agree with you" and repeats it several times while we're talking. Um....excuse me? Ask me if I think he would've responded with that same line if I was a man. Heck no. After test driving nearly every other SUV in the same class (some multiple times) as the Palisade in the past few months, I'm a pretty good gauge of what drives how, and the last thing I need is some dude patronize me and mansplain incorrectly to me before taking my money. No thanks. And to further my point and illustrate that I am not just some hypersensitive female feeling some extra kind of way, here are actual quotes from Car and Driver regarding this vehicle: "We tested an all-wheel-drive SEL and it delivered adequate--if unexceptional--test results at our test track. " And Consumer Reports: "The Palisade rides comfortably, but handling is not particularly nimble." Summary: sales guy was pretty good, but the general sales manager was a total turn off. I will not be visiting this dealer again and do not recommend you do so either. Bought a 2019 Hyundai Tucson about a week ago and I'm honestly kind of regretting it... firstly the car smells like cigarettes. They never cleaned the interior like they promised they would. I had to buy a car bomb on Amazon and do it myself.Secondly, before I left the lot I noticed a dent on the lift gate. The SALES MANAGER promised me they would take care of it and told me he would call me,he never did.I ended waiting 3 days to go back to the dealership for them to tell me he wasn't in and they would tell him to call me back...till this day I haven't heard anything from the sales manager. Went in today to look into leasing a car. My fiancé and I said from the start what our budget is and that it is nonnegotiable to go over. We looked at two cars (Kona and Elantra). I did not fit in the Kona but fit in the Elantra, so we told the dealer we weren't interested in the Kona. He has us sitting for 45 minutes and comes back with the price for the Elantra. It was $4k over what we were willing to pay for a down payment and almost $300 monthly over what we were willing to pay. He then tried to interest us in the Kona again, which was not an option because I could not fit. We have gone to other dealers who were upfront about our budget. Highly inappropriate and a waste of time. Edit: Upon further research after, my fiancé did the math on the Elantra. The Elantra goes for $19k. The dealer wanted to charge us almost $21k by the end of the lease. The point of a lease is to pay less for a vehicle that you plan to give back, not more. I decided to hand in my leased car 3 months earlier. This is the first time I ever leased a vehicle so you can only hope that the finance department at the dealership would give you sound advise. THIS DEALERSHIP DID NOT! The finance manager (R.T.) did not even want to speak to us and sent an another employee to speak to us. They insisted that we pay them the final 3 months of the car lease and not the finance company. So I paid the final 3 months cash and then later called the finance company to let them know of what transpired. The finance company then told me that we NEVER should have done that and that the dealership should have known better and that the finance company would bill me later. So I am just letting you know, at least from my point of view that they are not very honest in the financial aspect of their deealership. read more
