My dad out of pure laziness decided to take our car again to this place hoping that the oldee guy who works there would be able to help him replace a windshield wiper. There was a younger guy there who decided that he was going to try to squeeze on two wiper blades. Driver side went on fine and he ended up snapping the passenger side wiper blade off. He then proceeded to start the wipers and the metal started rubbing against a glass leaving a scratch which he claimed that he buffed off. While I am sitting in the car looking at him struggling to put the wiper blades on, I decided to YouTube how this process was done and it turns out that he's really had no idea what he was doing. Then to see my wiper blade snap back and a black piece flying off somewhere was how I knew they had screwed up big time.. My husband decided to call and see what happened and they decided to tell him some cacameme story they made up. This will seriously be the last time we ever come here. If you see any of their young ones working run. They better not be expecting us to pay for their laziness.

I'll start by saying I am a brand new Long Island resident, and I'm in the middle of the (arduous)…read moreprocess of setting up my new network. Doctors, gym, manicurist, mechanic. The lot. It can feel like you're back in kindergarten sometimes, walking into new places with new people where you don't really know where to start - 'hello, I'm new here, can you help me?' It can be intimidating as a newcomer to a neighborhood when you're trying to set up all your new connections. You're not sure where to go, who to trust, or whether it will be worth spending your hard earned money somewhere. I am a first time car owner, and needed to set up a mechanic - starting with my NY State inspection. I'll make this very clear - I know nothing, absolutely nothing about cars or inspections and I had no idea what to expect. So, naturally, when I saw five star review after five star review for Ralph and his team, I knew this place had to at least be a good place to start. Ralph is just as affable, warm, and down to earth as his reviews describe. While I was waiting for my inspection to finish, a regular customer came in. He wasn't quite sure about something on his statement, and I overheard Ralph helping him break down his 'balance owed' with the patience and kindness that only a seasoned professional (or parent) could display. Howie went to fetch my car in the freezing cold - even though I'd parked it a little ways away because I couldn't figure out the street parking - and had me on my way in fifteen minutes. You're a champ, Howie, sorry about the walk! I always always try to buy local, and support local business owners. They are the fabric that make up our communities, and to be quite honest, it's just nicer to deal with someone who talks to you like a human, rather than just another customer in a multi million dollar corporation. These guys are a shining example of what it is to be a really great local business in a bustling community. I will be delighted to return to this shop. Thank you Ralph and team.

I was not…read moremechanically educated then and they not only told me I needed two of the same part, they also charged me $400 in parts and labor for each. For a total of $800. The part cost $20-30(Crankshaft position sensor) and was a 5 minute job when I did it today. 1 Bolt, two clips, right on the front of the engine, easily accessible. I will never recommend this place. They also told my sister that the brake dust on her rims was from rusted brakes and that they were a safety hazard. LIE. Rotors, calipers, and pads were replaced under a year ago and there is only superficial rust on some parts. These people may try to scam you. Find a new mechanic.
