Small screw in my 7-month-old tire. Honda City wanted to sell me at least one new tire (probably would have pushed for a whole new set). I have a Firestone right across the street that is always very reliable and trustworthy. The boss there took one look at my problem and told me to come right here and have the real experts repair it. Definitely saved me close to $200 or maybe more. Most important and noteworthy these boys just jumped at the chance 2X (because I had neglected to bring my wheel lock key that Honda City his in my ownership folder ... yeah, that's where it belongs). They had the car jacked up minutes after I pulled in both times and fixed the hole in a few more minutes. This place is great. Reminds me of a family friend from childhood, Russ, over at Circle Tire in Jamaica, who always took care of my family's needs back in the day. I have a new place to save me and my car. read more

I ordered two rims from a seller (affordable tires and wheels) on ebay 8/8/24 for 1492.75. I received them on 8/9/24. The color was not as described. I initiated a return. Ebay reports to have a return policy where if the item is not as reported then the seller is responsible for the return. I clicked on wrong size or doesn't fit and wrote in that the color doesn't match. I even went to a specialist to confirm that the item does not match original manufacturer specs on 8/12/24 prior to initiating return on that same day after my appointment with subject matter expert. I also figured it was an all-encompassing answer. This does not indicate in ebay's system that the item is not as described and I was charged, from my return, the cost of shipping. I then went to fedex 8/16/24 with the shipping label that I was provided. They turned out to only give me one label but documented that they gave me two on the site. I reached out to ebay and they said they could not help me reverse the charge of the initial shipping label despite the item not being as described. I was told that if I clicked on a different return reason being not as described then the seller would be responsible. They said due to me already clicking something else they were not able to administratively adjust it despite having the full understanding of the situation. They then said I had to reach out to the seller to get a second label. I reached out to the seller who said that they are not giving me a second one. On 8/24/24 Ebay confirmed that the cost of the fedex return was 53.65. IO paid fedex 17.16 for the second one. It was the same thing. It got there on the same day, there was a tracking number but there was such a price discrepancy. Ebay was not able to give a justification. I then received the refund 1364.46 which showed a deduction of 128.29. I spoke to ebay 8/24/24 who said that I also pay the sending shipping because of what I clicked despite it not being the accurate click and they had no administrative power to provide justice. The initial shipping was documented as 70. I am now charged 145.45 for trying to buy something on ebay. read more

Unlike most girls, I'm not completely lost when it comes to auto stuff. My dad showed me how to change a tire at 12 and even had me changing the oil in the family car. Because of that I am kind of particular about stuff. I like to ask questions and see if the people working actually know what they are talking about. I had a problem with the alternator. I knew it was the alternator but the place I went to first said it was something else. $300 later and the car still wasn't fixed. Tthey do GREAT repair work. How do I know? Because they said the problem was the alternator, just like I thought! They fixed it and now my car drives like it's supposed to! I was treated with respect and had no issues. I will definitely visit again if my car has any other problems. 5 stars! read more

Went there to buy used tires so I could return my lease. The guy searched but didn't have a set of 4. I had been searching all over and couldn't find anyone with a full set. One local place in Freeport, NY and they told me they were too busy to check I would have to come in. (Is it just me or does it take the same amount of time to check regardless if I'm on the phone or there in person???) So I bought a set of new tires from Affordable Tires, no special name brand but I was just going to return the lease. 4 tires, 235/65R18, mounted, balanced, double checked for the correct pressure for $480. The dealer told me they would charge me about $1200. I am very happy with the price and the service. Would definitely go back for tires for my other cars, when the time comes. read more

They are scammers trying to make a quick buck. Never go here!!! I orginally went to nissian bc my left front rim was bent and wanted 500 dollars to repair it. M My friend suggested I go to affordable tires to get it fixed so I went and told them it was my front left tire. They took the tire off the axle so I assumed I was getting the proper care and it was so cold I went inside. I drove away thinking everythi g was ok. Two weeks later I'm back with another "broken rim" and it is the front left tire again. Go figure. I told them they repaired it last time the boss said said it wasn't the front left tire but the rear rignt. There was no way I said rear right. They are looking to try and make quick cash from people and assholes like me keep them in business. Never go here! The boss smiles in your face and doesn't give you the service you ask for. Three words for the person that helped me that was named "Chris"... emotionaly disturbed person... we agreed on a price for a rim (while there) ran to the bank to get the cash(10 min later) When i got back, to this even called establishment, i was told it was sold on ebay! My jaw almost hit the floor! The other employes were kind and helpful but this other guy with the lazy eye (not trying to be mean) said sorry i cant make an exception since they already paid and if i will get a bad review on ebay so i cant undo it... my response was "well than u will get a bad review one way or another...me..." OMG this guy lost his mind!! Screaming, yelling, using profanity telling me to get out of the store... unbelievable! As i walked away, one last jab he states "and you cant drive" like thats supposed to hurt my feelings bc i assume in his world everyones perfect and that why hes a rim repair shop so if everyone didnt hit the curb once or twice wouldnt he be outa business idk?? I usually don't write reviews but I am making an exception in this case. Warren was recommended to me by a wheel restoration shop in CA. He turned away my business in favor of Warren. I called Warren and by the time the conversation was over I knew that he was a man of character and I told him that he had my business! I didn't even ask to see examples of his work. This was very unusual for me as I tend to analyze things to death. He facilitated picking up my wheels as well as getting me the finished product. I live Upstate NY some 300 miles from his shop. The finished product was perfect. Eleven year old 19" Audi wheels are now as good as new. Warren is a true craftsman and a man of character. He will have all of my business. read more

I have a set of hard to find wheels for a VW. Searched the internet to replace one on the car that is damaged. Found a listing and called to make sure it was available. The hours posted were till 6 PM, being 10 miles away and leaving my office in the middle of the evening rush was going to be cutting it close. Headed over to the store and arrived at 5:45, met Walter in the parking lot who was prepping to close the store. Showed him the wheel listing and he went and pulled it from inventory. I purchased the wheel with no intention of having the tire swapped, but he offered to remove the tire from the damaged wheel and install on the one I just picked up if i wanted. I know it's what they do, but It was already past closing, insisting it would not be a problem, but thanked him anyway. Overall a good experience. read more
