He then proceeded to start the wipers and the metal started rubbing against a glass leaving a scratch which he claimed that he buffed off. While I am sitting in the car looking at him struggling to put the wiper blades on, I decided to YouTube how this process was done and it turns out that he's really had no idea what he was doing.
