Have taken my car to Bobb Howards on numerous occasions and always have found them to have very reasonable prices, do great work and are very honest. A great garage and mechanics. read more

I live in the area for 30 years and passed by here and never stopped. My neighbors highly recommended for me to bring my car here. It was making noise and I also needed an inspection. They fixed the noise at no charge. Did the inspection and by noon my car was good as new. They were prompt, professional and very kind. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change. I usually wait around, but this shop gets busy--even if you arrive early. Unfortunately, there's not really a place to sit and wait, so I went home. About an hour and a half later, I got a call that my car was ready. Pretty standard timing, and the customer service was great! Also, they have a built-in candy shop! It's a lot of fun to browse all the different treats. They even have a birthday program and free popcorn. Just don't try to pay with the gold coins like I did! read more

Honest, accommodating, great service...what more can you ask for?! And oh yeah...they have nostalgia candy from your childhood! So much fun to browse in their store while waiting for your car to be serviced! I'm a new customer to this service station but have been here a few times to take care of my car needs. So far so good! They've built a trusting relationship with me, and I recommend them. Shout out to John and his staff for wonderful service and hospitality! They care about their customers and it shows! read more

Bobb Howards station is family owned and you're treated as a valued customer. We take all 3 of my families cars there for Maintenance and any repairs, They will work with you on drop off and pickup times and give you honest answers on what needs to be done. They stand behind their work and honor the warrantees. If you have had issues with other repair shops I suggest you give Bobb Howard's Service Station a call. P.S. The Old Time General Store is worth looking into while you are there as you may find some old time treats and some toys. --Rocco-- read more

When I picked up my car, the price was $1,000 more than what they told me over the phone. Solo women beware.

Excellent service. Always do dependable work. Very friendly and reliable. Even their candy and toys are fabulous!

I had to take the owner to court - after being a loyal cutomer for 7 years. Of course he was able to afford a lawyer. I had to represent myself. The owner refused to honor the warranty for a repair. The warranty that HE gave me. He got cute and tried to say it was a 3 year warranty (he thought I did not keep the original warranty) which was a 5 year warranty. He got slick and refused to honor the warranty. I asked to put the old part in the new box -- he refused. It's a red flag when a auto repair shop won't put the old part in the new box of the new part. They are hifing something and don't want you to see the new box. BEWARE: This shop does not honor warranties. Stay away or you wight end up in court like I did. read more

Best of the Best!! Very polite, informative and reasonable in pricing. They aren't going to rip you off!! They have better service and communication with their customers better than dealerships. I thank you for your quality work, honesty and professionalism. read more

I have been going to Toyota service center for my Toyota Camry 2018 for last few years. Three months back, I went to Toyota service "stealership" center, they wanted to charge me $1100 for rotor shocks. I went to Bob's auto center and rotors shocks were found to be in good condition and have been working fine since then. He saved me hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend Bob's auto center read more

Great service and super friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and you can always expect them to tell you like it is. If you don't need it, they won't push it. I love the honesty of the staff and love that they don't jerk you around with the wait! Been coming here for the last few years and the service has been consistent. To top it off, the store attached has the most nostalgic goodies! Love this place! read more

In the car industry it is difficult to find honest individuals. A lot of them do they to cheat you and cut corners to save themselves money. Bob Howard is the first and only mechanic I've put a lot of trust into. The people that run this shop treat me with nothing but respect. Very responsive and very courteous when working on our car. On top of that repair costs are very reasonable. They are very great with communicating what is wrong with your vehicle, and aslong as I still have my car I'll continue to have my car fixed here (which hopefully won't be too often lol) read more

Had 2 visits there his past week. Tuesday took my wife's car in for a tire issue. Although I did not have an appointment, they took care of it right away. 2 nail holes patched and in less than 1 hour I was on my way. The second visit, I too my suv there, had an appointment. I wanted them to check for a noise when I turned, my shocks and struts and remove old side steps. Ron was very professional... asked me when I wanted the car back.. and said barring anything major, it should be ready by then. He called, the shocks and struts were fine, side step removed and could not locate the noise. So for less than $70, I was done. I will most certainly return.... for the professional and honest way of dealing with my situation and to indulge in the delicious candies they sell there! Thanks to Ron ad the staff, I have found my go to mechanic shop! read more

I called up on friday and spoke with Ronnie. Told him i need inspection and oil change taken care of... Usually since i lease i have been going to the dealership but my last visit to the dealership i wasnt happy...not to mention their prices super expensive and you are there all day waiting as if your in the ER... Ronnie made me an appointment for Monday at 10am. He said since it was my first time to come a few minutes earlier so he can put my info in the computer. When i arrived i forgot the gentlemans name but he took all my info and gave me a printout with the estimated prices for the vehicle. He asked when i needed it back by i told him an hour and he have me an hour and half to just be sure but if they get finished sooner i would get a call.. Sure enough i get a phone call from Mike at 1055 that the car is ready. I go in chat a little and pay. I was given a nice blue folder to keep my future papers in. When i went to get the car there was a little yellow note hanging with some scotch tape and a yellow mint. The chair had a plastic cover and the floor had a disposable mat. The note was adorable and truly a sweet touch. They VACUUMED the two front seats! And cleaned the windows. Such a really nice touch! Looking forward to my next oil change! read more

The candies might be delicious, but check your cars after every service, you might be shocked to find out the coolant reservoirs fiully topped off to the neck with windshield washer fluid. Very scary. Never brought my cars again to Bobb Howard. read more

Thanks so much, Mike! Bobb Howards' charge for parts and labor were much less than the quote from the Toyota dealership in Hempstead. read more

We stopped by the old fashion candy store that is attached. We met Ron. He was so lovely. Bought some fun candy and got some little freebies. Would definitely come back read more

One of the Caucasian woman that owns the place picks and chooses who she wants to be nice to. I've seen her get nasty with people over parking spots when it just wasn't necessary to do so. Be kind to others- people are going through it right now no reason to make mountains out of mow hills. People will react based on your attitude. Bottom line, I would not recommend this place. read more

First time to Bobb Howard's Service Station; I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata with a 150,000 miles on it. The radiator was leaking antifreeze and was advised to replace the radiator. Ronny gave me a written cost estimate and I returned to have it replaced. I was so thrilled with Ron and Mike with their Honesty and Professionalism and advice on parts and checking hoses and other items related to the service. When I picked up the car they went over in detail the final bill and advised me in writing as well verbally about other items I should look to repair eventually if I plan to keep the car. I had a oil change done and informed me of the brand of oil as well as the antifreeze because I like to keep extra on hand in the trunk if I need it. They covered the seat in plastic and covered the floor mats; Afterwards they washed the windows and vacuumed the seats! I will be going back soon for my next round of service! Love the service and the general store, Thank you Ron and his amazing technicians. Mike Smith. read more

Went to Bobb Howards this morning as a walk-in for an inspection and oil change. Thankfully, due to previous appointments not showing up, they were able to get me in and out in an hour. They were very reliable and honest. Told me repairs I'll have to get done but didn't need to do at that time. Would definitely recommend them and will be using them in the future. read more

Came in for an oil change and was pleasantly surprised by the flashback in time of the general store connected to the actual mechanics garage. I sought recommendations from my neighbors on NextDoor app to narrow down my search for a talented and honest auto mechanic. This local service station has been around since long before I was born and it shows why it has been. Excellent and honest service from the owners and top notch work from the mechanics. Will always go in future for my automotive needs! They give you a special treat when you get your oil change and inspection done. Very thorough and always ask your permission before doing any work. read more

Local mechanic by my job that was recommended by my Director. Went for an oil change and received a call from the mechanic with the additional work that could be done to my car. Now my car is a 2005 Nissan Sentra with over 200k miles on it, and his estimate of work to be done was the most fair priced estimate i had received to date. However, i only plan on keeping this car for a few more months until i finally move into something newer. To my surprise, the shop did not try to pressure me into spending more money on the work needed and was very understanding and even assumed that was probably the case but just wanted to let me know the work that was needed. I also believe the car was vacuumed in addition to the oil change. Great and honest service and i will definitely be back. read more

A friend recommended Bobb Howards after my mother had been having trouble with her old mechanic. Ronnie was willing to look at the car for no charge and explained everything to us. It is so hard to find an honest mechanic who cares about the customers and not just about making money. I will absolutely recommend this shop to any and everyone!! read more

They are very honest and through. I have been going here for 20 years. The very first time was when my wife thought she heard some noises coming from the brakes. She brought the car here and they checked it out and told her it was something minor and it was corrected easily. Their honesty in telling her the truth and not some story that she needed a lot of work left a huge impression on us. I trust Bobb Howard with anything I need for my car. Not only honest but courteous as well. Mike, Ronnie and everyone else are a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this local establishment to everyone. read more

Bobb Howards provides honest and quality services. They quoted me a price when my car was towed to the shop. They finished the job on the same day and charged me less as they were able to find better deal for parts. I recommend this shop. read more

I took my car here a day before Thanksgiving, and they were able to complete all the necessary services the day after Thanksgiving. My 11 year-old Infiniti car needed a lot of maintenance done and I didn't keep track of what was done before because another family member was using it. I asked for all services possible, and the shop called me back with a list of things needed to be replaced/repaired, which all made sense based on my vague memory of what I had ad-hoc serviced before. One pleasant surprise is that the shop recommended to skip a ~$100 transmission service because the mechanic checked online and found my car's milage is not up yet. After the service, I can feel the difference in driving - belts no longer squeak in damp weather, acceleration is smoother and I don't feel the road as much. Very happy with this shop and glad I found it. Edit: A month after the repair, I received a call from the shop checking in on how my car is doing. I am so impressed with the customer service read more

Took my mother's car here after another shop in the vicinity tried to rip her off. In and out in 45 minutes with no repair work necessary. Very easy to make the appointment. Friendly. There is a reason these folks have been around so long...they are terrific. Honest, reliable and very helpful. I usually go to a relative's shop out in Suffolk, but with my truck making a weird noise, and not wanting to have to call a tow, I decided to take it to them since I live so close by. They diagnosed the problem, called me to say what it was, the power steering system, and since I told them I had a relative in the business, they offered to top up the fluid so I could get it out to my relative in Suffolk. Such honesty! Instead I asked for an estimate which I found to be more than fair, so I had them go ahead and fix it. It was done by the end of the day and the price was to the penny I had been quoted! Excellent and they gave my husband a bag of candy in celebration of their anniversary. WOW, I have bought the great fun candy there before, for my sister in laws 50th birthday party and I forgot the great selection. Truly a great place. read more

I love Bobb Howards Service Station. They always call to give me an estimate and ask for my approval before starting the work. They do thorough repairs and get my car in and out quickly, especially when I make an appointment for my oil changes and inspections. I have never had a problem with any of the work. They are fair and honest, pleasant to deal with on the phone and in person. They have been repairing my family member's cars for way over a decade, maybe two at this point.
