I visited today on a good friend's recommendation and I'm a satisfied customer. I put off replacing my tires now for about a year. I do not dog my car, so I've been pretty blessed. This morning I stopped in and the guys here were very polite and helpful. They greeted me upon arrival and I pulled right into one of the bays and got down to business. I met with Alladin ( Prince Ali himself) and told him what I needed. He advised replacing the front tires first with a front wheel drive vehicle. He explained there would be more control when driving. There were many customers being serviced quickly and efficiently throughout the duration of my visit. Brandon installed my tires and I received two new West Lake tires for $100 a piece and I was comfortably back on the road. Definitely give them the business for your tire needs. They also carry more of your top shelf brands, if that's what you need. read more

So I've went here for years it's pretty good when they have your tires mounted balanced and it's good for a place that stays open late, I've left once or twice with the tires not set to the proper psi but still I can't complain because i didn't mention it, would still recommend. I had a flat tire that I tried to change myself but one lugnut was stripped. Had it towed to Charlie's Pit Stop in Elmont on the evening of 12/11/2022 at around 7pm. I explained to a young guy that worked there what I needed and that I had my own spare tire. He began to remove the stripped lugnut... which took less than 30 seconds and removed the flat tire. I passed him the spare that I had. He put it on and I asked him how much it would cost. He told me $100 for 5 minutes or less of work. I was insulted that he would think I was dumb enough to get ripped off like that. I questioned him as to why and he told me because of the lock removal, which was nonsense because the issue was one stripped lugnut. He said that lugnut removal alone was $50. Then I asked where he came up with the other $50 that would total $100. He told me that he was going to fix an issue with my bumper, which I never even asked for. Long story short, the issue I had should have cost me around $30, according to the pricing board they had on FULL YELLOW display at their establishment. That would've covered the stripped nut removal ($20) and spare installation ($10). How this inexperienced scammer arrived at $100 is still a mystery to me. Their own used tires don't even go for $100. I gave him $50 (which was also overpriced) plus a $10 tip, along with some business advice. 2 takeaways from this ordeal. Number 1, it costed me an extra $20 to learn that people will do ignorant things when they're thirsty for a few raggedy dollars and 2, they'll learn, if they read this that they lost a customer over an extra $20 they squeezed out of a previous supporting customer. The guy I was told to ask for at this tire shop was Lance. He was the one that approved this flawed scam. Beware. I'll never ever ever go back to this place and I'll be sure to tell my folks about how they treated a hard working family man and registered nurse. Shame on yall. read more

The guys here are very pleasant however their service is a hit or miss. Anything dealing with patches and tire replacements they are good. Alignments, on the other hand, are God awful. They may need to go back to school. Another thing. They say they open at 7am, however they are never there until 745 or 8am. Just change the damn hours of operation sign. read more

OMG this place saved our butts!! Couldn't find them on google anywhere to make sure they were open but a cousin who lived in the area said to just go. It was almost midnight and got a flat visiting family in the area, and didn't have a spare. They accept only cash and was a bit sketchy but they got the job good and done. If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst place to go for an alignment. I've been here few times before and service was ok. This last time was it for me. I got my alignment done and paid $125 for 4 wheel alignment. As I drove home I noticed the steering wheel wasn't straight and was off by a little. I tried contacting them and no answer, and apparently no one remembers that they did the alignment. I contact the owner he says to call the shop. Still nothing, no help there. After a week, the alignment gets even worse and the car sways left and right on turns and feels really unsafe. I finally give up and go to another alignment shop, and there they tell me the previous alignment shop left the camber kit bolts loose, throwing off my alignment completey. And it was really dangerous for it to be loose like that. Now all is well with my car and it drives in a straight line again. If you love your car please DO NOT bring it here. I even tried to reach out to the owner telling him I don't care about a refund or anything, and to just balance all 4 wheels and call it even. Of course they will ignore now. read more

I had a really bad experience there..I went there 2 days go to get some tires for the wheels I just bought..so I asked one of the ppl working there what size tire would I need to get so it fits the car and it don't hit or rub anything..so the guys just looked at the car and suggested and sold me some tires.. Today I went back to get my wheels mounted and balanced and once he went to put on the wheels on my car the did not fit..the tire was hitting the strut..so I told the guy to change the tires and they said it would cost me more money for other tires..then I asked to return my money since those tires don't fit my car and they said I had to call the owner. I called the owner for 4 hrs straight and no answer, later after a couple hrs he call back and says he can only give me %50 of my money back..so I told him it wasn't my fault they order those size wheels and he said i don't know the real story but all I can give you 50% back..I never drove those tires cuz it never fit on my car so there was no scratches or dirt on them..but the owner would not change his mind.. Now I left their shop with $300 less then when I got there and still no tires smh never go there..they will rob you and they don't know what they doing..they scratch my brand new wheel and gave me the wrong tire smh read more

To start I went to 5 different shops in my local area to find a place to mount custom wheels, stretch tires & align! No one could do it. Ended up being a whole day ordeal . So I had friends that told me about this charlies pit stop & they do the type of work that most shops dont. So naturally I made my pit stop there.....WOW, talk about horseplay!! I dont know much about their other locations but the one in elmont is a joke! ...literally... these fresh out of high school or high school kids are so unprofessional and unorganized. I told them I needed my wheels fitted balanced and aligned & long story short they couldnt get it done because they didnt have the right equipment & expertise ( *ended up going to intrack tires in richmond hill & they took great care of me!*) .. I waited 4 hours just to hear I'm sorry. There was only one guy that was attentive to my needs which is why i gave 2 stars instead of 1. Other than that it was all horseplay between the 7 or so employees. Everything was so unprofessional. Curses and vulgar jokes flying in front of customers , laissez-faire, attitude amongst 90% of the workers, and inexperience ate making these group of kids the most unproductive specialty tire shop I have been to. They need a real boss to implement some type of protocol . You can tell these are just trade school kids from the hood that are handling business without supervision. After I left I went to intrack tires and they literally blessed my baby from top to bottom. No detail was overlooked. I even tipped the main guy who worked on my baby because I was overly satisfied with how much emphasis was put into the job. My car is running like it never ran before. These guys are the real deal & very cool to hang out with while REAL WORK is being done! No high school vibes here!! Intrack Tires is where to go NYC ! read more
