This was my second time coming here. I came here for a hard gel soak off and a new full set of hard gel nails with the request to shape my natural nails into the stiletto shape. Also about four of my nails aren't as long as the rest so I needed a gel builder to make them all even. She informed me that that would be an additional $5 for each nail (even though she was nice enough not to charge me extra this time around for it). And yet, all of that still came to $100+. I didn't intend to spend that much on my nails but it was NYE and I was desperate. The nail tech was talkative and friendly however. She only did two thin coats of gel and I could already tell this wasn't going to last that long. My nail broke the same day (thank goodness I had some nail glue on hand!). I went to get it fixed two days later and now, two days later, it broke again. The same nail. I'm convinced that whatever gel product their using is weak or the nail tech isn't applying enough coats to make it last. Either way, there should be no reason why my $100+ nails should be ruined in four days. I'm highly disappointed. This spot has potential but it feels like they nickel and dime you for their average services. I'll be heading to my other trusty nail tech soon. read more

I decided to get my nails done around this area since i was there for the weekend. I'm not sure what the other reviews were about but everything was clean and well organized and new. I was a walk in and they were closing at 6 but they squeezed me in for a gel manicure and pedicure which i appreciated. Overall they were good , I'm definitely going back. I appreciate the appointment system since they do take their time with each client. The only thing i would say is the girl i had was a little un organized and to gentle with the filing.... maybe she was still in training ‍ but the end result was good. Don't get your acrylics done here! I've been coming for months getting regular fill-ins, and was pleased with the service...Until today when I did a soak off of my nails at home and realized this shop uses MMA acrylic. For those who don't know, mma acrylic is cheap and used in dental work. Salons are supposed to use EMA acrylic, which is approved for cosmetic uses and doesn't ruin your nails, but most of the lower quality salons won't use it bc it's more expensive than mma. MMA acrylic is nightmare getting off and almost always damages your nails. (Google mma vs ema acrylic removal for more info.) Y'all should be ashamed of yourself. This salon is charging luxury prices and presenting itself as a luxury salon, but uses the same cheap supplies as the chop shops on broadway. Really want to support black owned businesses but not if y'all are gonna do me dirty and ruin my nail health. ACRYLIC LADIES BEWARE! read more

I made an appointment to have my builder gel removed from my nails and new set as well. My appointment was for 5 pm. I received a call at 4 pm asking if I could come at 6 pm. I informed that the receptionist that was not a problem for me. I arrived there at 6 pm. The tech I booked was still not ready. I was asked if I cared about working with someone else, and I didn't mind. The new tech would not be prepared until 7:15 pm: a new appointment for 2 hours and 15 minutes later. I declined for 7:15 pm and a future appointment. What is the point of an online system if there are going to be two-hour delays? I would have had to wait in the salon for over an hour which is ridiculous. read more

At first this place was awesome, I noticed I left the salon happily with my new nails, but then I noticed how sharp they were I could almost cut someone. I went immediately the next day to see if it could be taken care of because it was dangerous. Some white lady proceeds to tell me they will charge for that. I hate to give a not so great review since I believe this is a black owned establishment and I wanted to support but the three stars are because my manicure was great and they tried their best accommodate me when I was in a bit of a hurry (even though my appointment was at 4 and I wasn't seen until 4:30). The pedicure I received was subpar to say the least. I didn't notice it entirely until I got home but I received a gel pedicure and two of my toes paint is already complete gone. Not to mention my big toe and a few others on my right foot have paint around the sides and the paint is wrinkled. I always get gel pedicures and this never happens. A bit disappointed as this pedicure was more expensive and I tipped only to have to go somewhere else to get it redone this weekend. I will not return for a pedicure for sure. read more

They have no receptionist so when you call you get the owner who doesn't know a thing about nails he just owns the place. He books you for appointments that can't be accommodating then cancel it when he realizes it without notifying you. Although Jermel and Mariel were kind, I will not be returning because I was chastised and harassed by one of the nail technicians today. On Tuesday, I 6/11 I walked in and paid $30 (not including tip) for a gel manicure done by Mariel. Unfortunately, the gel began to peel on Sunday, 6/16. I called the shop and spoke with Jermel. He graciously told me that I could schedule another appointment with Mariel and they would take care of it. I did as he instructed and provided a note in the appointment section. When I entered the salon, I informed a female nail technician sitting at the front (wearing a black baseball cap and long dark brown/green/yellow highlighted hair) of Jermel's instruction. She then conveyed the message to Mariel. Although this woman was NOT the nail tech who did my original manicure or responsible for the task today, she continued to MAKE UP rules as I sat in the chair. First, she said that there was a three day window regarding manicure repairs. Then, she insisted I had to PAY a fee to use a different color. Why on Earth would I use the same nail polish that peeled off? Every single one of my nails were chipping. Lastly, she accused me of picking at my nails and said the nail tech shouldn't be at fault. To that, I responded that I shouldn't pay $30 for a gel manicure and it began to peel off within 5 days. All the while, I encouraged her to call Jermel for clarification. She refused. Again, Jermel and Mariel were professional and courteous. Unfortunately, their co-worker was accusatory and insulting. At no point did she acknowledge the time that I took out to return to the nail salon or that I had to wait until Mariel's next available opening on Tuesday. As such, I am extremely disappointed and encourage others to go somewhere they are treated politely by ALL OF THE STAFF. read more

I moved to the neighborhood not too long ago and have attempted to go to this salon several times. I've never actually gotten any services here because the receptionist or whoever answers the phone is extremely unprofessional. The last attempt at trying to go I called same day, asked if i needed an appointment. The woman said yes but they can take me. I said great.. I can walk over and be there in 15-20 minutes. we never established an exact appointment time. When I arrived , I announced myself and the first thing the woman said was "you're late". After not establishing an appointment time I felt that was a horrible way of greeting a customer. I immediately walked out and took my business elsewhere. It's unfortunate but I won't be making any attempts to come back. Hopefully these ladies take some lessons in business etiquette. read more

Absolute TRASH. Unprofessional and dim witted owner called me as I was ARRIVING for my appointment to tell me that they wouldn't be able to take me today. Mind you, I'd had the appointment for over a week, and their cancellation policy states that you (the customer) must cancel 24 hours prior or be charged the full price of service. Jemel, the owner, apologized but offered no solution. He seems like he has no idea how to run a business. Don't waste your time here, it's a complete dumpster fire. I would give a 5 star for the nail techs and their art.However there has been multiple occasions that my friends and I have received phone calls canceling our appointments a day/week or more before the appointment, then the very next day on their Instagram page they would post "Book with this nail tech online now", making us lose our original appointment to only try to book again and reorganize. I would recommend just making the salon walk-ins only with every nail tech. Therefore you are not calling and canceling when a nail tech doesn't show up for the day or is late and having your customers scramble for a new appointment or find an option elsewhere to get their nails done. I was a loyal customer however this has now discouraged me from booking an appointment again. read more

If you're looking for a reliable place, this is not it. I started going there after seeing some of the nice work on Instagram and because of the location. The very first appointment I made was canceled the same day of my appointment within two hours. The reason I was told was because the nail tech was not available or something. Fine, I decided to try again, and another appointment was canceled. I made an appointment to get my nails done on my birthday and a pedicure, and again canceled. I've made 5 appointments and three have been canceled. Mind you no one will see you if you walk in, although you're a told to do so after your appointment has been canceled. The two nail techs that did my nails the two times I didn't have a cancellation were nice and took their time, to that was a plus and the only reason I went back but no more. I went to millennial nails right before traveling for Christmas and had a horrible experience! My nail tech was more focused on the conversation she was having on her cell phone than listening to my requests for my nails. After shaping my nails wrong and uneven I said forget the polish and asked to move along to my pedicure...once again the nail shape was wrong and the gel polish was sloppily done. I was so frustrated but another nail tech, Dana stepped in to help. She apologized for the poor service and asked that I give the salon one more shot and come back to see her. Initially I wasn't going to do it but there are so few quality nail Salons in the area that I decided to give millennial nails and dana one more shot before writing off the salon all together. I'm so glad that I did! I went back for a pedicure with Dana. She is wonderful! She's Super talented and takes her time the polish was perfect and the massage was even better! I was serviced by Liset who was phenomenal - she took her time with my pedicure and I did not feel rushed like I do when I go to other salons. She also did my gel manicure which came out great! My first time visiting this salon was this past Saturday. I booked online, and chose the "any staff available" option since it was my first time. I was paired with Tatiana, and I absolutely love how my nails turned out!! I got an acrylic set with ombré and it came out great! I had a nice experience at Millennial Nails. I arrived at my appointment about 10 minutes early and was assisted as soon I arrived by Lorena. Lorena listened to all my concerns about my nails and altered them to my liking. I love how she shaped and designed my nails. This is the first time in a long time that I've come out of a nail salon completely satisfied with the appearance of my nails. Although I am satisfied with how my nails turned out and Lorena's service I do feel it was a little pricey for the length that I got my nails. Before booking an appointment, I contacted the nail salon through their Instagram page to ask what option I should book for the specific nail design I wanted. I was suggested to book "Acrylic Color (Full Set) with Nail Art", which is priced at $75. Of course, the price varies with the design that you pick but, I didn't expect to pay $115 for a medium/short set. I am so happy I found this place. Since I came to NYC I have been looking for a black owned nail salon in BK and I finally found one ! Decently priced, beautiful decor, nice options, friendly (and black and brown) staff, great location, and they have OPTIONS. when I came for my gel pedicure I saw symphony I'm pretty sure I spelled it wrong but that is her name. She was very sweet and did my nails in a flash. Wasn't the shape I normally like and the appearance is like a 7-8/10 but my nails were kinda struggling since I had not gotten a pedi in months which is not normal for me either so im still quite pleased with the outcome!... but the friendly environment and ridiculously pretty color def makes up for a lot too lol. ADDITIONALLY being that I hadn't had a pedi in months. My nails and cuticles were so shitty! She took her time and didn't hurt or cut me and was very gentle when it was time to switch feet. (Its a pet peeve of mine when I feel like I'm being pushed and fought lol. But whatever) I personally can't wait to come back and try their hard gel whatever that is. I normally get dip powder with tips. PS my hands were NOT done here. I have another review on the salon that did my hands. But I was lucky they had the same brand and color. It's Perfect Match 003. First let me start off and say my nails are beautiful! Thanks Jessica!! But the customer service and management was horrible! I had an nail appointment for my daughter and myself at 12 noon and a pedicure at 1:15 PM. Due to me coming 20 minutes after 12 and due to a call out of a staff member, I had to wait over 3 hours before I got my nails done. I was told that we had a 15/20 minutes grace period on my very first visit to this salon a week and a half ago. So I thought I was on time. I've watched at least 10 people go and come out that nail Salon. I've never in my life experienced this while getting my nails done at any salon. I want to support businesses in the community but its treatment like this.... that makes you not want to anymore or even care to. What hurts the most is that I am a "bride to be". The fact I was treated this way was kind of degrading. They completed my daughter nails first as a way I guess to get on my good side when the entire time she was extremely quiet because she wanted me next to her. The entire point of me booking the time slot at the same time was so we can get it done together and have a mother and daughter spa like experience. If it was not for the fact that they charge 50 percent penalty of the service fee for cancellation, I would have left. Plus, it was too last minute to switch nail salons given the fact that Tuesday my day is fully booked and today a lot of businesses are closed on labor day and my flight is on Wednesday morning. You would think I would have got a discount after the long wait, I did not even have a proper soak off because by the time I was up I wanted to go home so I did short cuts!! I am just extremely hurt that I had to wait for three hours and walked in at 12:20 PM and did not leave until 5:45 PM. I was so hurt but instead of expressing it in a ugly fashion, I wanted to remain professional and express in a mature matter. Think twice before going to Millennial Nails. read more

The people that run this place are a joke. They gave me an unnecessary hard time and displayed extremely inappropriate managerial etiquette. They want to have your credit card on file so they can charge you what they want, regardless if they give you the services or if you've received good service from them. I showed up to my appointment but did not want to continue with services when the owner got ignorant and argumentative with me about what I wanted. It was so confusing. So I decided to decline service at this point. They still charged me after they didn't end up providing me with any service. The other ladies who have spoken out about their awful business practices are not lying!!! Ladies please support a better deserving establishment who cares about you!!! I will reach out to BBB also. Came in a few days ago for a pedicure. The nail technician put paraffin wax on my feet as ending to the pedicure. Instead of putting on my foot flops she put paper slides on my feet. I fell and the technician only helped for a few seconds. No one offered medical attention or help to get home. No follow up from management. Very poor service. read more
