The online reservation process was quick and easy. Upon arrival I was greeted by the receptionist. The decor is chic and stylish. Very reminiscent of one of the nails salons you see in a movie. While getting my nails done, I received complimentary glasses of champagne. The person who did my fill-in was very sweet. Please note that they only accept cash tips. Overall, a great experience. I would give this place zero stars if i could. I went to get my nails done on Monday 9/23 for a dip mani on my natural nails after learning the salon was offering 50% a nail service to new clients. I was really excited because I was referred to this place by a former nail tech but she wasnt sure if the person who she knew still worked here at this location. I went willingly mostly because the instagram page for this salon was really put together and the nail art looked great. I get to my appointment and the nail technician informed me the products she needed to apply dip to my nails werent available i.e the polish bottle thats used to bond the dip to my nails. Instead, she mixed together random products that i later learned was used for acrylic nails (see image 1). The application process was absolutely horrendous (see image 2) and everytime i asked questions the nail technician Jasmine had a horrible attitude saying things like "girl ive been doing nails for a long time i know what im doing" which is very unprofessional. During my service, Jasmine also seemed bothered by the fact that I expressed hurt/pain when she cut my fingers using the cuticle cutter. Again, lacking professional and basic care/compassion for clients. I paid the service fee which came to $51 which i think is absolutely ridiculous for how the final product of my nails turned out (see image 3). I then followed up with the alleged store owner Kendra. I explained my experience and asked for a refund but her response was "i cant offer a refund because I didnt even make any money off your nail service since it was already discounted" which was red flag #1 and only highlights the fact that this salon owner only cares about money and not about the clientele. The owner Kendra then excused her Technicians behavior with "you and Jasmine probably didnt vibe" insinuating thats probable cause and justification for why my nails turned out horribly. She offered for me to go back in to get the service fixed by another nail technician named Tatianna who did a good job cleaning up the mess that was made at my initial appointment (see image 4&5). Overall, the professionalism is absolutely not there and very disappointing i even spent money coming here and wont be back. I hope the store owner sees this review and views this as a learning opportunity and not a knock to their business. I really wanted to support this black owned business in the neighborhood but unfortunate circumstances such as this make it extremely daunting. Update: later that same night on 9/24, i got two charge alerts from my bank showing this business tried to charge my card on file twice (see last two images) for the repair service that was free of charge by the store owner. When i left the salon, i didnt pay anything because the service was free of charge so im confused why someone from this business waited until 10:46pm to attempt to charge my card when there was no receipt or signature of mine provided. Traveling to Brooklyn and needing an acrylic fill, I booked a fill with nail art and a single nail repair with a quoted price from the website of $65. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment and there was not an available nail tech that could do nail art, so they told me they couldn't do it. When I said that was fine and asked if I could get a french manicure instead, I was quoted $95. I'm not sure if this is standard for NY but $95 for an acrylic fill with french tips in LA is legitimately crazy I opted for a basic white polish, was charged $71 with tax and walked out with a B- manicure at best. 3 stars because the staff was nice, the tools were well sterilized and the music was great ‍ read more

After hearing about this Business and brand in my neighborhood of 30plus years, I decided to try them out. My technician was late and someone else had to start my nails. She was new and didn't know what to do. I had a hard gel fill in. The salon was also untidy, and the technician's station was also untidy. It looked like no one cleaned from the day before. That's a red flag for me. I also don't want my pedicures done using a scraper that was used on someone else previously, or cuticle nippers etc that were not sterilized. I don't need the owner to defend her salon. Just step it up! This is a competitive market. Try going to other salons and see what they're offering . I'm also a business owner. Have someone clean things up, have your staff be on time, and sterilize EVERYTHING! The staff should also have limited time on the phone or get ear buds. I just spent entirely too much money on the nail tech not understanding anything I wanted and gaslighting me as if I wasn't clear. I used inspiration pictures, but when I tried explaining the colors I wanted it seemed like everything was getting messed up and blamed on me. The girl before me seemed to have the same issue with the same tech. I would've stayed to get them fixed but she was rushing me out because I was past my time even though what I wanted wasn't achieved. I hate hate hate leaving bad reviews but for $170 I don't like getting reprimanded, having my natural nail exposed (I was going to say something but she was already so annoyed by me), being told I can't achieve the style I want with shorter nails, having a meh design (see inspiration pics) nails -- that was again blamed on me because "I kept moving to see my nails" even though I wasn't. She was pinching my finger in a way that was counterproductive and I tried explaining that. If you pinch where there's a joint it will make your hands move into a stiff position -- and then rushing at the end because time was more of a concern than getting it right. Great salon with great service! I've been going here for a few months now after a long and stressful search for a salon that would do acrylics. (A dying art it seems?) this is a great place for any acrylic ladies out there! You can make appointments online and they always keep them on time- I have rarely had to wait at all when I arrive. Prices are reasonable and upfront- no nickel and dimeing here. Tips have to be in cash fyi and there is a deli across the street with an atm. I have mixed feelings about this establishment. My first experience there was lovely and that was a few months ago. I was their first customer that day. I got my nails done a few days ago in the afternoon and it was horrible! Tatiana is great for pedicures FIRST thing in the morning, but a mani during mid day...BEWARE. She was so rough with my nail bed and was super distracted on her phone. I booked these services with this salon and had no problem paying for QUALITY service, but I did not receive that. My cuticles were not cut properly, she was very rough, just push them back with a nail file she used with another client. I received the worst pedicure ever today. I was a walk in and had my manicure done and waited two hours for a pedicure. My feet and heels were not washed or even touched other than being polished. I was asked if I wanted a scrub for an additional $10 which I refused because my feet do not require additional scrubbing. Not to even message my feet is unacceptable. My lower leg was not touched. I was called after returning home and I agreed to return for a manicure. However, I doubt if I will return to this establishment. On Tuesday, a serious emergency happened to me and I had to cancel my 7:40pm appointment. I called and talked to the owner and asked if he could waive his very strict cancellation fee and he said no. This man said to me and I quote, even if someone DIED, he wouldn't waive the fee. Can you imagine! This man thinks UV gel is more important than a life! If you ain't first, you're last, shout out to Ricky Bobby. Then he tells me the ONLY way he would waive the fee is if I update my Yelp review right away and give him 5 stars. That is EXTORTION and abuse of Yelp! He then said "actually, I'm still going to charge you, you can come on Friday to get your nails done, and you need to update the Yelp review." Let me start by saying that I found this place on Instagram after seeing their incredible nail art and reading several reviews that said they were worth a shot. Their website was fairly easy to manage and on all platforms encourage that you book an appointment online. I booked a full acrylic set and pedicure, as well as a gel manicure and pedicure for my sister in law about 2 weeks in advance. We wanted our nails to be done for a trip that we have coming up and this looked like the perfect place to do so. We were wrong. It was a very stressful choice. Because I have so much to say, I've broken this review in categories so that it's helpful to anyone reading this based on what they value. 1. Environment When we arrived 15 minutes early to our appointment, we were immediately greeted and asked to wash our hands. Loved that! However the way the salon is set up isn't conducive to heavy foot traffic. Therefore, you're playing a game of slip and slide between clients, chairs and tables. Not to mention, it WREAKS of acetone and nail chemicals. Now, I'm not saying I don't know what a nail salon can smell like, I'm saying there was so little ventilation that my sister and I had to take turns stepping outside and breathing fresh air because the smell was so intense WITH OUR MASKS ON. Insane. At this point I was more concerned about the health of the employees than anything because breathing so much of that for long periods of time could not be safe. Not to mention, no one should feel like they need to step outside to breathe. BREATHE, PEOPLE....but I digress. 2. Customer Service The girls are incredibly nice. I mean seriously, SO NICE. However, this location is lacking professionalism. There seemed to be a lot of confusion on my sister in laws service as far as what she was getting and although our appointments were made together, she was waiting MUCH longer to be done. Weird but we moved on. There seems to be no order of how clients are handled and it all just kind of seems messy as far as how nail techs know who their clients are and vice versa. Needless to say, the client facing employees don't seem to have a handle on making the client experience easy so you're really sitting there wondering what's going on until someone points you in the direction of what you should do. For example, I didn't know that you pick your color out of book, not on the wall filled with rows of nail polishes. Little things. 3. Nail service The woman who did my toes was AMAZING. Sad I didn't get her name because she was really damn good. The tech who did my nails, although very nice, TERRIBLE job. My cuticles were a mess, my pinky nail was crooked after she filed, and my acrylic was put on in a way that it looks like I already need a fill. I think I was so high off of fumes that I couldn't even tell what was happening. I will say, my design was perfect but I don't think it even matters considering the manicuring itself was terrible. My sister in law on the other hand had wonderful manicuring but her design was a disaster. She asked for a tortoise shell design that she took right off of their Instagram and was told that the girl who did that, no longer works there. After much back and forth, her nail tech confidently says she can do it. My sister in law looks like she has lady bugs on her fingers instead. 4. Payment They seem to have a ticket system where the techs will determine what exactly they'll be doing for you when you sit in their chair, tell you your total and then bring it to the reception. Because my nail tech didn't bring her ticket up, I paid for my sister in laws service when I went up to pay because that was the only ticket up there. My sister in law then paid for mine because we realized there was obviously a mix up. It's little things like these that also tie into professionalism. Yes, they are busy. Yes, I know this shouldn't be a big deal but with a little organization and some polishing, this place could really be amazing. In conclusion, my nails will probably be redone as well as my sister in laws and I don't think you should come here unless you know a tech specialist here because as I mentioned - my pedicure was fantastic but that's all I can say as far as my whole experience goes. I left feeling robbed and upset because my expectations were set so high based on reviews and quite frankly, their platforms. We will not be returning but wish them great success. read more

This place is extreme hit or miss... I've had some pretty decent manicures here, some mid range, and the last mani/ pedi was legit the worst I've ever had. The technician filed most of my nails down til they were paper thin taking the last gel off before applying the new .... I have thick strong nails and now they bend like paper. It's so ridiculous. On top of it, she didn't know how to apply nail polish (esp light, white nail polish) and put it on so thick it was super streaky and lumpy all at the same time ... idk how you can get done with someone's nails and look at what was done to mine and think "yeah this is fine" unless you're blind. The pedicure was also gel and cracked by the time I got home ... the manicure was peeling off by the next day and I was at a wedding, not even doing anything crazy with my hands except eating and drinking. I want the $105 I spent here that day back ... My 11 year old niece can do a better job. Not going to call out names, but take note of the technician names in the comments that have done a good job and go with those if you don't want to throw away your money. I debated asking for my money back but didn't want to be that extra ... but for someone as broke as I am and on a budget, it stung a little to get such garbage service and spending what little money I have to essentially have my nails in way worse condition than when I came in. I stopped her several times to be like this isn't ok it's super streaky and doesn't look good and instead of like redoing them she just kept globbing on more layers. It was the joke of the wedding I was at how bad they looked ... I didn't have the time or money to get them redone prior. 2 stars for the OK service I've had in the past ... there are better nail salons in the neighborhood regardless. My first time at the salon was less than perfect, but I decided to give it a second shot. I'm glad I did, because it appears they have got new talent. Natalie was super sweet, and did my nails beautifully. Very meticulous and they ended up perfect. I absolutely love them. Nail salon was clean, and I love how many options they have for nail color - acrylic, gel, dip color, and jewels for design. They also have some Chanel nail polish too. They can pretty much do whatever you want as long as you bring a picture. What's nice also is when you arrive you will be offered a beverage as well. My only tip is to make sure you make an appointment online so that it is in their system. On the weekends they can get very busy. Also, don't be late and if anything arrive a little early. Very hit or miss. The place feels dirty, the pedicure bench looks sticky or greasy, yet they make you wash your hands when you walk in even if you're just getting a pedicure. Even in height of the pandemic the workers we're wearing masks under their nose but I gotta crawl back to the corner between the nail tables where there's almost no passing room just to wash my hands? And the drying machine is garbage. Place is full of flies for some reason. A lot of the time I have an appointment but still have to wait up to 30 minutes to be seen and the workers spend too much time chatting with each other. One of the owners Kendra contacted me right away to rectify the situation. I was able to return today 1/27 and have a more experienced tech, Joi fix my nails. Very disappointing. Left the nail salon moments ago and nails looked jacked. Their SNS selection is pitiful not on sticks I'm selecting from jar. I wasn't happy but when I told the receptionist he voice my concerns and ladies found a color I was willing to take a chance on but the jar was not dipping suitable so Victoria scooped and sprinkled with a spoon. I was a little peeved and reception explained it was late and he was leaving soon. Ok...then I was offered water and my coat to be hung up. Didn't like that either. My pedicure was basic asf. Fifteen minutes max. Although not the best experience I left willing to give a second chance but getting home and seeing my nails I will not be back. My nails are smudge and powder is missing from edges. I wanted to support black business in the neighborhood but I doubt if I'll be back. Manicure stations are uncomfortable for a tall girl like me. UPDATE: I went back to the salon after they asked to re-do my nails and I was pleasantly surprised! They did a wonderful job and I've been going there since. I came here for a simple manicure and I'm ultimately disappointed with the service. The quality of the job is sub par. What was supposed to be a 30-minute appointment lasted over an hour. The manicurist cut my bails far shorter than needed and left residual nail polish left on my fingers. I'm sure I will return, but I will definitely work with someone diff read more
